Placer ARC is a non-profit agency “Making the Difference for Individuals with Special Needs.” We are seeking a Fashion Design Instructor to teach a fashion design class at our art studio, Studio 700, which serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Fashion Design Instructor assists students in their development of artistic skills on an individual or small group basis and does related work as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience: Ability to work with individuals with special needs. Background in fashion design. Must be able to work with Macs and PCs. Familiarity with the characteristics of intellectual and developmental disabilities is helpful. Desirable skills include knowledge of motor development, self-care education, communication, social development, basic psychology, functional living skills.
