RE: The first RE: hurting for business (Just a little jealous?)

I think all providers should just post ads and not be calling attention to anyone elses but so what if they post their ads one, two or a million times! Big deal, anyone can post whenever they'd like. If you notice the dates on when they posted their ad- at the most, it's only twice a day. The rest are other days. I think whoever is complaining about people who post a lot are just jealous because nobody is reading theirs.

Lets just all get back to our jobs people. If you,ve got enough time to bitch about how many times people post, then you must have a whole lot of time on your hands and nothing to do.

Another form of hurting for business
are Provider who want to take pot shots at other providers.

such as saying or implying:

that offering promotions, or free days is WRONG or desperate.
That is just good business sense to offer promotions, and extra's at sign up. Businesses do it all the time. It's the American way. The only thing they must be mindful of is making sure the parents understand that the low entry rate is temporary, or they have to be there a few weeks before they get the free week, etc. As long as everyone is on the same page there is no harm in offering an incentive.

Telling parents that they offer cheap rates because they want to HELP people. But they are not helping the needy families who could use a break. they are not basing enrollment on income but rather who can fill those spots regardless of income and leaving low income families out there still struggling.

Bashing providers that charge a fair market rate by saying they don't deserve it.
And it doesn't matter if other providers are more experienced,
educated, and have quality programs, the rates should all be the same and cheap....THAT'S TOTAL BS
since when does having an education and experience not deserve to be paid better? And since when does an entry level provider (new license) barely out of her teens even compare herself to someone with education, and experience,
plus all the extra's they provide....But hey they will run 24/7 all by themselves to get the kids in for those CHEAP rates.

Class Size

We ensure superior care can be given to each child by keeping the class size small. We are licensed for a capacity of 14 children, 2 of which must be enrolled in school and with no more than 3 infants (under 2 years). The children are broken into 2 classes, each with a teacher and an additional assistant as needed. The provider to child ratio is typically at most, 1 provider to 5 children.

Age Range

In order to provide developmentally appropriate care, we only accept children between the ages of 18months -8 years. We break our group into two smaller classes based roughly on age and period of development. Each age range is approximately 2.5 years, and was chosen for specific reasons. We believe this separation provides an opportunity to have positive social interactions and to learn from one another.
