Lost CD Case - North Loop/Elverta Rd/Antelope Rd (Antelope)

This morning my wife left for work with all of my CD's on top of her car. I have been compiling a collection since I first started working when I was 15. It is a 3-4" thick binder, black and tan color with room for four cds per page. It was close to full, and had a lot of music that might be garbage to some, but means a lot to me. If you, or someone you know have found it, PLEASE return it. I don't have much to offer, but I will make it worth your while. It is full of Rap and Hip Hop primarily. Most likely it was dropped on North Loop or on Elverta around the Bel Air Center, but it could be as far as Antelope Road all the way to i-80.

CASA - Advocates for Children in Foster Care (Sacramento County)

Currently, there are over 4,500 children in foster care in Sacramento County. Many of these children need the support of an advocate and a friend.

Sacramento Court Appointed Special Advocate Program, Inc. (CASA) recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. As a CASA, you will work one-on-one with a child/youth advocating on their behalf in the juvenile court and assisting them in obtaining all necessary services while they are dependents in the foster care system.

The ultimate goal of a CASA is to help the child find a safe and permanent home, whether it would be a return to their families, adoption or guardianship. A minimum of one year and 10 to 15 hours a month (on average) is required. There is flexibility as to when you spend time with a child as there is no set schedule.

Extensive training and program support provided to all advocates. Background check, volunteer application, interview and references required. Must be at least 21 years old and have a good driving record and reliable transportation. Male volunteers and bilingual volunteers especially encouraged to apply. No prior legal or social work experience required just the desire and ability to work with these kids and the court system is necessary. This is a great opportunity for active retirees, students and working professionals.

Prior to being accepted into training, SCASA holds mandatory orientation sessions. You need to attend only one of these sessions. These sessions will provide general information about the CASA mission as well as a brief introduction of the topics to be covered during the required 30-35 hours of training. An application, interview and background check are required for prospective trainees.

Thursday, Jan 7th 6:00-7:00PM

I had to put up a posting for you providers!!!

I am a mother and daily I have been on craigslist looking for the perfect daycare for my child. To even think I almost picked up the phone to speak with this "Marcella" at childs play daycare to see what she has to offer! Obviously not very much!! I am very disappointed and disturbed that she wastes her time during the day posting and posting and even down-talking other providers who work hard for our children and parents! It makes me think what this "Marcella" lady is really doing during the day with the other children she cares for. If she has time to post and be mean and disrespectful it really says a lot about her not only as a person but as a provider! Personally, I would remove my child from her daycare if I knew what she was doing!

Other providers keep doing what your doing, I'm sure you are great! In this economy we need specials, discounts, weeks free! It's too hard for many families and to know that some of you out there still care and want to help you will be blessed! Take care and do not let this "Marcella at Childs Play" get to you! Meet Mala. She is a year and a half old. Crate trained. Would do best in a single family home (one person, or a couple without children). She's been neutered and micro-chipped. House broken and loves attention. Loves to be pet and loves to show off her toys. Likes to sleep inside during the night and loves being outside during the day. I used to socialize her alot, but since becoming pregnant I don't have the time or strength to take her. It breaks my heart to have to find her a new home. She's an awesome pet. I've had her since she was a puppy. She comes with her own crate as well. If this sounds like a dog you'd be interested in saving, PLEASE CONTACT ME. A few things to know about Mala:
~she would do best as an only pet. She does not do well with cats and older dogs.
~Mala is a mixed breed pit bull. No papers.
~Mala has had some training, but more never hurts. She's a great listener and I haven't had many problems with her since she was a puppy.

LARGE WOODEN REPTILE ENCLOSURE (ORANGEVALE)

I have a Large Reptile Enclosure for sale. It measures 7'wide x 4'tall x 3'deep.

I built it for my Savannah Monitor but, it turns out she is to old and lazy for that much space.

It's only about 3 months old and is very sturdy. It has a second level for basking & feeding, a soaking/drinking tub that is about 2 1/2' x 1 1/2' and is sunk in so it can't be tipped. The floor & 9" up the walls is covered with linoleum and sealed for waterproofing. There is a trap door on the front for the soaking tub (makes it real easy to change the water). The sides, front and top are screened with heavy duty steel screen (1/4" mesh) so, even the toughest reptile can't escape. Also, I have removable covers for the screened windows to help keep in the heat. And finally, it comes with a stand that was built to fit it so, the overall height is actually about 6' tall. The stand is not attached so, it can be used with or without. All in all this is a great enclosure for the price. It's also unpainted.

I can't get any "good" pictures of it as half of it is blocked in by another large enclosure. But you can at least get an idea from this picture.It's actually 30" longer than the picture shows.

I spent about 300 in materials so, I would like to atleast recoup that so, I'm asking $300 obo
