You must be a freelancer with transportation and willing to work a standard production day. Some projects only give one or two days notice so let me know if you would be available with that timeframe.
Interns wanting to learn field production are urged to apply. If selected you will accompany the crew on selected shoots for training purposes. No pay for Interns as this is a learning experience for you. This is a limited opportunity so you must provide reasons you want this training. Camera Operator with Camera Needed THIS SATURDAY (Sacremento CA)

An out of town video production company is looking for one camera person to videotape a cheer competition this Saturday November 6, 2009. This is a long event, crew call will be 7am, and end around 7pm.

The right candidate will own a professional DV camera with XLR inputs, a solid tripod, and have at least one year experience shooting live events. A zoom controller for the camera is a plus but not necessary. If selected you will be shooting this event with your camera.

Experience shooting live events and sports a plus.

New Medical Marijuana program for A&E (Sacramento)

LA based production company is in the works with A&E on a new show that follows the lives & stories of individuals involved in the field of Medical Marijuana. With the Presidents recent command to federal DEA efforts, NOT to engage time or money prosecuting those involved in the process of growing, providing, & using medical marijuana, new freedoms are allowing us to look inside this very interesting world without legal ramifications. We are in search of medical marijuana growers that are looking to tell their story. This is a historic moment in the USA with new regulations being enforced that could potentially lead to the national decriminalization of Marijuana. We are looking for people that would like to be on the front lines of this history event.

Art Director, Set Designer Needed for Feature Film

The Wagner Media Group, in association with Robert Irvin and Saturday at 2 Productions, is currently in the development phase of production for "The Ladies of Burlesk" (Original spelling), a period story circa 1938. We are currently accepting submissions from Art Directors and Set Designers who have experience in projects that obviously are "period" in nature, with a variety of sets that are small to large in nature and will, by necessity, be built from scratch.

This is a paid-position project that is scheduled to begin production mid-2010. A "By Invitation Only" staged reading of the screenplay for this project will be at 2:00 p.m. on November 15th at American River College.

Documentary Film Crew Needed (Sacramento, CA, (Citrus Heights/Folsom))

Lime Light Entertainment and Wolfs' Den Entertainment are branching out to make a Documentary film. We need 4 people to fill the following positions.

Video Editor, Cameraman, Ast. Cameraman and Ast. Sound Engineer.

The Video Editor and Cameraman are paid positions, the Ast. jobs are entry level, pay is a possibility...depending on final budget.


The film will take a little over a year to complete. We are working on financing, and expect to have a producer on board very soon.

Costumer with Vintage Apparel Knowledge Needed for Film (San Francisco/Sacramento)

This summer we are shooting a film in the Davis area as well as the Bay Area. For this film we are hiring mostly professional people, save a few roles such as this posting. We need a person who can be a costumer - what does the costumer do for this film in particular? Glad you asked.

The costumer is not the same as the costume designer. Costumes are pre-designed, you simply are the scouter. You should have knowledge of where to attain certain *exact* types of clothing, and hopefully for the lowest prices you can find (sometimes they aren't the lowest, that is okay). For this role, due to the protagonist's wardrobe, you will need to be a somewhat skilled scouter of vintage stores, for we are asking for you to procure several certain kinds of vintage dress, ones that aren't always easy to find. With that, knowing most vintage stores are located in the bay area, most likely San Francisco, you should have a general knowledge of where to go, or at least find out.

This film is being submitted to Sundance, let alone the festival circuit, and we all take our jobs very seriously. You should too. It is a professional's job and it comes with a professional's pay.
