SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Student Services Coordinator acts as a “communication link” between the students and the staff. This individual maintains all academic documents as well as provides student support to students needing assistance, including but not limited to academic, childcare, transportation, and other personal issues as determined by the Campus Director. The person is not necessarily a certified counselor, but provides the listening ear for the students. After School Director - Part time - (ACPS) (Sacramento)
Position Overview:
1. Manages the design and development of the afterschool program goals, plans and schedules, in close coordination with the school Principal and Leadership Team.
The Afterschool Director manages the planning and operations of a high-quality, personalized afterschool education and enrichment program for students, and upholds the mission and values of Aspire Public Schools. This is a part-time position reporting to the school Principal. The Afterschool Director is responsible for designing program activities and schedules; hiring and supervising staff, contractors and volunteers; developing and managing program budgets; tracking and analyzing student performance data; and ensuring compliance with all reporting and other administrative requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Organizes ongoing staff development in coordination with school Principal, Leadership Team and Aspire Home Office.
- Observes, coaches and evaluates performance of afterschool program staff.
- Monitors contractors for compliance with contract performance expectations.
- Compiles information from multiple sources (standard assessments, intervention-specific assessments, teachers, afterschool staff and parent feedback) to analyze student performance, place students in appropriate academic interventions, and monitor progress.
- Supports afterschool program staff in using data to drive lesson planning and monitor students progress.
- Gathers and analyzes program performance data, e.g., attendance, student/parent satisfaction.
- Establishes regular mechanisms to communicate with parents/families and engage them in the afterschool program to help support student success.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:

- Demonstrated supervision, management and leadership skills, including ability to effectively manage student behavior, coach and inspire staff, and work with contractors and volunteers.

To begin the educational process, the basic idea is that women who are age 20-29 can help another woman to finally get pregnant. A young woman is at her peak fertility years so the gift of her eggs leads to the highest rates of success for in-vitro fertilization. This is the same in-vitro process that thousands of women around the world every year go through in order to try to have a baby. The eggs a young women gives (which would have normally been reabsorbed into her body, never to be used again) are fertilized using the father’s sperm in an in-vitro process, and the resulting embryo is implanted into the intended mom so that she is able to get pregnant and be the biological mother. This is truly a case where the miracle of science meets the miracle of life! The joy of finally being able to have a baby after wanting one for so long is hard to imagine!

Math + Think and Learning Ladder (non profit corporations); provide quality after school tutoring (Supplemental Educational Services) in Language Arts and Mathematics for students who qualify under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). We have two divisions that specialize in K-12 remedial work: Language Arts Learning Ladder and mathematics Math +Think. Our services are either in a small group setting (up to five students per tutor) or one-on-one setting.
We are seeking qualified candidates in the following areas: Sacramento, Vacaville, Vallejo, Stockton areas to work with students K-12.
All of the necessary materials to work with students will be provided to the qualified candidates upon hiring.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE;
Bachelors Degree Credential Teachers are given First Priority
Experience working with children in an academic environment.
Bilingual a plus (Spanish-English)
Must have dependable transportation.
Must be able to provide college transcripts.
Must be livescan fingerprinted by a private livescan operator.
Must have a negative chest x-ray or TB test result within last 3 years.
Must provide a photocopy of their CA driver's license, ID card, social security card.
Must be able to tutor one-on-one or a group of up to five students in one setting and have enough knowledge to give instruction in Language Arts and/or Mathematics from grades K-12.
Must be able to attend a two hour orientation training prior to hire.
Must understand their role as a mandated reporter.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE;
Should be computer literate or willing to learn.
Should be aware of the California State Standards for the grades and subjects they tutor.
Is committed to working with parents as educational partners.
Is sensitive to the social as well as academic needs of their students
Should know the developmental stages; physical, mental, and emotional for prospective students.
Is aware of the time and commitment necessary to prepare for each student/group session.
Is willing to be trained in the use of different curriculums and learning styles.
Hours of work- after school, evenings, weekends. It's up to you- you have the flexibility to arrange the times and days, along with the parents schedule.
Place- school sites if available,or local libraries, or Community Centers.

Substitute Teacher's Aide - Pre-k/Kinder (Davis, CA)
Substitute Teacher needed to be available on-call 7am-6pm, Monday through Friday. At least 12 ECE units and/or experience working with young children preferred. This is the perfect position for a retired teacher, or someone who has a weekend/evening job and would like to supplement their income with intermittent, but fairly regular, work. This job is not ideal for those looking for full-time employment or for those with other engagements during the work week. Fingerprinting necessary--we will reimburse cost of fingerprints after 3 months of your being available to work for most shifts requested. Spanish a plus. Please send resume and cover letter.
Teachers/Tutors (West Sacramento/South Sacramento)
We are looking for professional, caring tutors to provide in-home tutoring to disadvantaged children. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children and their community.
Tutors will be responsible for providing in-home tutoring in reading, math, and study skills, and being a positive role-model for these students.
Hours: Must be available afternoon through early evening Monday-Thursday. 6-10 hours per week. Each student receives two - 1 hour sessions per week. Tutors are responsible for setting a schedule with each family they are assigned to.

Experienced SAT Prep Teacher Needed (Cameron Park)

After-School Program Rec. Leader 1's, Subs Needed (Arden Arcade Area)
Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District is looking for college students or those interested in a career in education to work in the Bridges After-School Program with elementary school students in the San Juan Unified School District. Work schedules are Monday-Friday and hours vary depending on the school sites, but are approximately 2:00-6:30 MTWF and 12:30-6:30 on Thursdays. We are looking for people who have the ability to program plan, lead recreation games and crafts, help with homework, facilitate enrichment projects, and other relevant experience working with children.
We are currently looking to hire Recreation Leader 1's to work daily in the Bridges After-School Program. You can read the description for this position below. IN ORDER TO BE A FULL-TIME LEADER, YOU WOULD NEED TO BE ABLE TO WORK ALL ASSIGNED HOURS.
If you are not available daily but are still interested in working with students, please consider applying for a substitute position. When our daily staff are unavailable, substitutes take their place for the day. This is an effective way to gain experience until your schedule opens up later in the year. Substituting is often a path to obtaining a regular position when spots become vacant as well.

Recreation Leader I Description
Under general supervision assists in providing support and homework assistance to both large and small groups of elementary, and/or middle school students. Facilitates recreation and assigned enrichment activities with students and performs miscellaneous related duties.
REQUIRES A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT; any combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates the ability to assist in the planning and facilitation of activities in an after school program; Ability to work after school hours and attend occasional weekend trainings on Saturdays; CPR/First Aid certification desirable.
Part-time Afternoons (West Roseville)
Team player needed to work with both preschool and school age children. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE in both areas and a Minimum of 12 ECE units. We are a private school with great students, great families, and great staff. Good program and good ratios, in a structured environment.
