Learning A.R.T.S. is a provider of early intervention behavior modification programs using the Lovaas Method for children on the autism spectrum. Each child receives 1:1 behavioral programming based upon the individual needs of the child. Behavior Technicians assigned to the child and will work either in the home or in the school setting. Each child has a team of Behavior Technicians consisting of 2-3 individuals, supervised by a Behavior Consultant. Weekly team meetings are held with parents and care providers to review the progress of the case, address any new issues or behaviors, and update the program to facilitate continued success.

Behavior Technicians conduct 1:1 sessions with children 17 months through 18 years of age with autism and other pervasive developmental disorders. Extensive paid training, ongoing supervision, and quality control are major components of our programs.

The Student Conservation Association (SCA), a national force of conservation volunteers is seeking experienced, quality oriented outdoor leaders to supervise teams of five interns responsible for completing trail maintenance and construction projects. Community Education Training Manager (North Highlands/Sacramento)

The Community Education Training Manager is responsible for all aspects of training, curricula development, quality assurance, coordination of internal resources, outreach and education for the Child Abuse Prevention Center. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

(35% time) Management of Prevent Child Abuse Prevention California (PCA CA) Training and Community Education
Track contract milestones and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Update training curriculums, as needed. Develop and manage training calendar. Ensure that qualitative and quantitative data is collected for continuous improvement and for grant reports. Facilitate and present training curriculums as needed. Work with Training Coordinator to ensure proper scheduling, registration, and coordination of training. Conduct ongoing quality reviews and develop plans for improvements. Coordinate with Executive Management and training teams to determine priorities and avoid duplication. Coordinate with partners to assess needs, provide and assess trainings, and provide information and materials. Maintain a firm grasp on new and emerging research and trends. (25% time) Training Delivery
Plan and conduct training workshops throughout California, and as needed, nationally and internationally. Evaluate and debrief all training sessions and provide follow-up support to training attendees as needed. Utilize various presentation equipment such as VCR, TV, computer, and projector to present trainings. Collaborate and coordinate training delivery with all CAP Center agencies.

(20% time) Oversight and Coordination of CAP Center Trainings
Coordinate and manage all CAP Center trainings. Oversee and track training delivery relative to program design contracts. Review training and education materials and work products developed by the Training Specialists. Oversee and provide guidance on technical assistance. Ensure quality of training delivery and curriculum.

(10% time) Data Collection and Report Writing
Ensure the quality of data reported. Utilize data to inform decisions and recommendations. Analyze and interpret data from training pre/post tests and evaluations.

(10% time) Other Duties
Prepare, plan and conduct other trainings as needed. Set up for trainings and prepare rooms for training including, but not limited to, setting up equipment and moving furniture. Acquire and enhance knowledge of child development, parenting, and child abuse prevention including, but not limited to, statistics and trends through reading, research, conferences and participation on committees, as appropriate. The Director of Advancement/ Development is part of the Bishop Manogue Administrative Team and responsible for creating a vision, direction and an annual comprehensive Advancement/Development plan in coordination with the President, Board of Trustees and Advancement Committee. The Director should spend a majority of time soliciting major gift/planned giving donors and prospects, and working with Board members and Development staff to maximize major gift and planned giving potential. The Office of Short term Ed programs a division of Nacel Open Door, a non-profit exchange organization www.nacelopendoor.org
with history in exchange since 1959, is seeking a contractor for coordinating Tutorial/ESL/Activity programs for students from China this summer beginning in July for a duration of 1-4 weeks and ending in late August. However this can be an ongoing position as student groups arrive semi-annually. The position requires a person with good networking, communication and organization skills and the coordinator would be responsible for locating teachers to work with the groups. The responsibilities of the teachers include; locating families to host the students in his/her group, 1 per home, teaching ESL for 3 hours a day, 4 days per week, (curriculum provided) and accompanying students on local field trips daily. One day per week is spent on a full day excursion to a major place of interest in the area. In addition to the teacher’s compensation, an expense budget is provided to be used for entrance fees, gas, food and other expenses associated with the program.



Compensation for the coordinator would be based on the number of total students in all groups coordinated. If the coordinator’s compensation amount per student were $200 then for 24 students they would earn $4800 for the coordination of the groups. We are allocated a certain amount of funding per student for each program and the amount dedicated to the coordinator’s compensation will depend on the numbers of students facilitated and if the coordinator works one or two sessions. The teacher’s compensation and activity fund would be separate from that of the coordinator fees. Coordinators could also teach a group of students for additional compensation. Skills & Responsibilities:


The Dean of Education is responsible to ensure that all educational programs at Western Career College are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as compliance with all institutional and programmatic accrediting requirements. As part of this responsibility, the Dean of Education assures that all complaints or concerns of the educational staff and students are clearly identified and appropriately resolved.

  • Supervise education and academic staff including librarians and other staff as assigned
  • Makes recommendations regarding all faculty and Program Director hiring decisions. Identifies necessary credentials for each faculty position and assures that compliance is documented when an employment offer is made.
  • Directs faculty-teaching assignments to assure that all classes are staffed appropriately.
  • Trains, develops, reviews and supervises Program Directors and faculty. Ensures that Program Directors are providing the necessary training to instructors so that they meet or exceed the standards and guidelines established by policy, accreditation and legislation.
  • Assures and documents that all faculty meet professional development requirements and in-service training requirements.
  • Monitors individual faculty performance, conducts periodic reviews of each faculty (including 90 day Introductory Period Evaluations) member's performance, provides feedback and improvement plans.
  • Oversees all student satisfaction and retention efforts. Documents all student academic issues, concerns, questions, or complaints, including their disposition. Resolves student issues that are referred from Program Directors or escalate as needed
  • Monitors and reports campus compliance with all accreditation standards and all applicable state or local laws or regulations relating to operation as a postsecondary institution
  • Oversees department budgets. Effectively manages cost of instruction and overall educational expenses

  • May be assigned other duties by the Executive Director, the Corporate Managers of the College or U.S. Education Corporation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management/ experience indicating the ability to provide flexible leadership and management to faculty members who have a variety of experiences, personal attributes and backgrounds
  • Ability to manage and motivate professionals as a cohesive team
  • Experience in institutional or programmatic accreditation or regulatory compliance is a plus
  • Prior Experience writing program or institutional self-evaluation reports or responding to agency findings is preferred
  • Experience implementing institutional or program effectiveness plans a plus
  • Must have exceptional customer focused skills to address student needs and resolve issues with diplomacy and tact
  • Must have solid writing skills to communicate effectively in memos, letters, and reports and via email
  • Must possess excellent verbal communication to communicate effectively with faculty, students and other campus/college management
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and commitment to comply with policies, regulations, and codes of conduct governing all aspects of job responsibilities
  • Must possess computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Must be flexible to meet schedules that include evening and weekend hours

The team practices and has home Saturday swim meets at the new Vista Del Lago High School pool off Broadstone Parkway in Folsom and has away meets at various locations in the Sacramento Valley. The Tigersharks are a new and exciting team in the well established NorCal Swim League.

The Assistant Coach position requires swimming and coaching experience. We are looking for someone who knows how to teach proper stroke techniques and motivate swimmers to do their best. The successful candidate must have a great attitude and be a benefit to the swimmers as they learn and grow through the sport of swimming. The Folsom Tigersharks are a family-oriented swim team that strives to promote good sportsmanship and teamwork by providing a positive, fun, and rewarding experience for everyone.
