I think the Constitutional Convention would be more interested in upholding the one we already have and enforcing it. The Obama Regime and Congress are treading all over it on a daily basis. Show me where in the Constitution it says we have to buy anything from our government. I don't believe it does. There are only 500 plus of them and 300 plus million of us.

As Lord Christopher Monckton pointed out, the Copenhagen conference at the beginning of next month is designed to eliminate national sovereignty in favor of a world government to replace it. With a stroke of the pen all UN-member-states will, by doing so, throw away years of prosperity in order to satisfy the transnational needs of a global elite, hellbent on destroying the last vestiges of freedom around the world in the name of “redistributing wealth”.

Make no mistake, if the ‘world leaders’ now announce they will not swallow this pill just yet, be sure that they will in the months after December. After all, they’ve been ordered to by their masters- who have proven themselves to be both cunning and patient.

After the Club of Rome in the early 1970s outlined its basic premise, that world population must decrease if the earth is to survive, all globalist subdivision started groaning like rusty old engines. In the seventies and part of the eighties, the propaganda was still far from subtle. When one scientist proclaimed that the entire world’s population must shrink to the size of a middle-sized country, another shouted that this won’t do at all, proposing instead to put a halt to new life completely.

Documents such as Ecoscience must be viewed in this bizarre context. Although dripping with eugenic devilry, these publications at least were quite upfront about it, proclaiming their mind-boggling monstrosities for all to see. At this stage, deciphering cryptic environmental texts was hardly necessary. However undesirable the situation, at least we knew exactly what they were up to because they said so to our face.

Today we find ourselves in quite another situation. As public resistance about these dehumanizing proposals grew steadily thanks to an informed Western middle-class, the eugenicists went underground, replacing their foul garments with seemingly fairer outfits.

With the help of UNESCO’s social engineers pouring oil into the machine, the propaganda became more streamlined and smooth throughout the 1990s and the beginning of this century. In the most brilliant move anyone could ever make, an ocean of euphemisms began to engulf the true ambitions of the Malthusians, to the point of classical Orwellian doublespeak and beyond. We are required nowadays to decode the complex linguistic trickery before we can even formulate a move to counter it. A crash course in the unraveling of these euphemisms may help us pierce through this language grid more easily. Bizarrely, the United Nations Population Fund will help us on our way.
In a off-worldly 1999 UNFPA directive- published to make sure journalists will not accidentally slip up and reveal the real deal- the author explains it’s better to rephrase the old grammar when it comes to population control issues:
“The term (“Population control”) is now out of favor with experts in the field, because it implies force- a negative thing to most. (…). To stress the voluntary nature of the actions sought, experts use terms like “stemming”, “stabilizing” or “slowing” population growth. Similarly, “family planning” is preferred to “birth control” a term that dates back to the time of Margaret Sanger’s crusade for women’s rights to use contraceptives.”
To namedrop Margaret Sanger in this context is very much hitting the nail on the head- although to claim she was a real-deal liberator of minds is absurd. Sanger was a eugenicist first and foremost. How did she define birth control in the Birth Control Review, May 1919, page 12?
“More children from the fit, less from the unfit – that is the chief aim of birth control.”
The UNFPA directive goes on to say that it’s better to use terms in public communiques such as:
“Birth spacing”, “reproductive health” and “women’s rights”; boosting “sustainable development”; and improving the earth’s “carrying capacity” and the human “quality of life”. These terms stress not sheer population numbers but the broader vision of global well-being.”
As a paper prepared for the UN’s ‘Expert Group Meeting on Population Dynamics and Climate Change’ states:
“everything possible should be done now to ensure that people the world over have access to good reproductive health and that this will be crucial for future generations, in terms of global climate as well as human welfare.”
Remember now, that the phrase “reproductive health” is not only being used to facilitate family planning centers around the globe, but also makes possible such things as portable abortion units- as it does in China for example, where women in the name of “reproductive health” are being offered the finest in abortion services the almighty State has to offer, right to their very doorstep.
“Women’s rights” is another one. It sounds good, no? Who, after all, would argue the right of women to do whatever they so please? The next line in UNESCO technical papers which usually follows goes something like this: “Climate change is a women’s rights issue”. Or, as one publication describes it: “The threats of climate change are not gender-neutral.”

“Women are key health, education, economic and resource managers”, states also the UN’s report of the international workshop on population-poverty-environment linkages. “They, and their children, are also those most likely to experience disproportionate effects of poverty and environmental stresses. Integrated programming should ensure that women are empowered to play the requisite managerial and decision-making roles. One entry point for linking population and the environment interventions is via coordinated and gender-sensitive environmental activities (e.g., water supply/sanitation or natural resource management) and reproductive health initiatives.”
Here we have it again: “reproductive health”. The juggling of words is an art mastered to perfection by the global elite and their willing underlings, that much is clear. Another important item on the agenda of the social engineers is that of integrating population reduction messages into a range of other, seemingly decoupled subject matters. We have for example a report from the UNESCO Regional Office for Education in Asia, encountering a problem while subjecting a group of students to the propaganda:
“Since the launching of a massive population education programme for the schools, the amount of reading materials alone, not to mention visuals and films, has increased enormously. It is therefore necessary to determine what materials to make available to children at different grade levels.”
That’s where the educators come in. Children, UNESCO figures, must be brought within its sphere of influence as soon as possible. Otherwise the parents will guide their futures and that would be detrimental to the plan to transform all humans into good ‘global citizens’.
“We cannot imagine how the people of all nations could move toward a more sustainable world without the contribution of educators from around the globe”, states a 2005 UNESCO technical paper.
“Sustainable world” means a world with just as much people the earth can carry. In 1972, another UNESCO document circulated within transnational circles with the creepy title ‘ Learning to be: the world of education today and tomorrow‘. In this publication, promoting the emergence of a “new man for a new world”, the authors state their purpose:
“The new man must be capable of understanding the global consequences of individual behaviour, of conceiving of priorities and shouldering his share of the joint responsibility involved in the destiny of the human race.”
At the EuroNGO’s annual conference in 2008, the director of information and external relations division of the UN Population Fund was mighty glad that the Malthusians are on the rise again:
“(…) the media spotlight on global population has snapped back on in a way we haven’t seen in some decades. It dimmed when concerns about “overpopulation” last went out of fashion, but those concerns may now be getting a new lease of life.”
They may indeed.

The Road to Copenhagen part III: A “Planetary Regime” in the Making

The machine of mass media is working overdrive now that the Copenhagen summit is approaching. All major media outlets have by now obviously received their talking-points which have an strangely similar ring about them all across the board. Even a superficial comparative study in the overall reporting reveals not only a stunning disregard for national sovereignty, but a willingness to support carbon-taxes imposed by a- as John P. Holdren puts it- “planetary regime”.


Oxford professor Dieter Helm: “I’m in favor of quite a low carbon tax to start with – for political economy reasons, to get it in place.”

Last month experts told the Second Committee Panel Discussion of the UN General Assembly that “a new regime of governance was under way in the global financial system.” The same is being said about global climate measures, global resource management and global development.
The mass media is not only setting the agenda themselves, they more often than not simply parrot the globalists that are being shoved in our face on a daily basis. Many of whom have a Ph.D. behind their name. Under the header ‘Carbon Tax’ is sensible, and perhaps inevitable, advocate says‘, the Los Angeles Times quotes Oxford professor Dieter Helm stating:
“(..) I’m in favor of quite a low carbon tax to start with – for political economy reasons, to get it in place, (…). Across Europe, my guess is within five years everybody will have a carbon tax…”
This, according to Helm, will make sure that the United States will eventually be forced into the global carbon tax policy as well:
“(…) is everybody else doing it? That’s a very good protection for politicians. The answer is yes, they are.”
Back in December of 2001, the Africa division of the UN Development Programme apparently already seriously considered such a tax:
“The main energy sources that would be affected by a carbon tax include coal, petroleum, kerosene and natural gas. The tax would be reflected in an increase in their price, at a level based on the capacity of each type of fuel to emit carbon dioxide.”
Answering the question who would collect the taxes and enforce such a global tax policy, the UN panel was quite clear:
“The panel said a new international tax organization should be created to assume all functions performed by existing institutions. It would serve as a global intergovernmental forum for international cooperation on all tax issues. It would also help resolve conflicts between countries and help them to increase tax revenue by fostering information exchanges and measures that could reduce tax evasion on investment and personal income earned at home and abroad.”
This sounds a lot like John P. Holdren doesn’t it, exclaiming in Ecoscience that “a Planetary Regime- sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment” could impose global policy and enforce it. “Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime”, said Holdren, “could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist.”
Furthermore, the UN panel advocated in 2001:
“We thus endorse the Commission’s proposal to create a global council at the highest political level to provide leadership on issues of global governance. The proposed council would be more broadly based than the G7 or the Bretton Woods institutions.”

In 2007, Reuters quoted Mr. Global Warming Himself, Al Gore as saying that a global carbon trading scheme could be “quite efficient if the world’s top polluters, the United States and China, fully joined.” Gore also stated that a direct tax on carbon would certainly be “an even simpler and more direct measure.”
It was the Bilderberg-appointed Herman Van Rompuy- the new EU-president- who stated recently that “The Climate Conference in Copenhagen is another step towards the global management of our planet.” He also announced that 2009 would be the “first year of global governance.” And he’s not the first to call for such global management. All people who occupy a position of power in the infrastructure of the New World Order have called for it since its very conception shortly after World War II.
As a preface to the coming Copenhagen summit in December, the United Nations Population Fund in a recently published ‘ State of the Population 2009‘ is pushing for global reproductive health services. This means not only universal access to ‘family planning’ but also better access to abortion facilities. Humans, after all, are supposed to be the prime driver of climate change and therefore: less humans means honouring Mother Earth.
In the foreword, the executive director of the UNFPA, Thoraya Obaid addresses the fake global warming hype, saying that “floods, storms and rising seas” will soon envelope the planet if not for quick, decisive and global efforts to combat these calamities.
“A Copenhagen agreement that helps people to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and adapt to climate change by harnessing the insight and creativity of women and men would launch a genuinely effective long-term global strategy to deal with climate change.”
Global strategy. That’s the talking point we hear over and over again from all agencies, UN or otherwise, who have an interest in profiting from the deal they are proposing. Never mind that all nation-states who sign on to the Copenhagen treaty will effectively forfeit their representative systems to this global authority, deciding which taxes will be paid by which nation-state. In the end, all roads seem to lead to a “planetary regime” envisioned by the elite long before “global warming” was even heard of.

We read and hear all about the bad republicans, the bad democrats. What happen to slamming the damn American voters for continued support of the very institutions that have financially, socially and morally corrupted our nation? Why are we so quick to point fingers when in reality WHAT DID WE REALLY EXPECT? Have we as a nation eatin' so much paste that the VICTIM mentality has rooted itself in our psyche. Let us not forget the republican voters have supported tax law that perpetuated the out sourcing of quality jobs. The democrat voters have continued the dumbing down of a nation and taking away the spark that helped create this great country. The political establishment is doing what it always does, and that's a direct reflection of the nation and its voters. We all know the political establishment is corrupted like most other bureaucracies. Wake up and start doing something - go out and create your own way. Start your own business. Think about after your gone - what kind of solid ground work will you have left for those you have left behind - or do you allow those that come after you to suffer through low wages, poor job opportunity (at the hand of others) and a life dictated by the number that appears line 35 (A.G.I) of your 1040. This is America. This is not the union of PASTE EATERS. Stop all the crying. Get above the fold and help others up the ladder of self reliance - THAT IS THE AMERICAN DREAM. The American dream is not HELP ME HELP ME I AM A VICTIM OF SORTS. We as a nation have halted the INNOVATIVE SPIRIT. Look at the public school systems; mainly a farm league in most parts for the service industry. Look at the Federal Government controlling what states do and don't. ANYONE that SUPPORTS the 2 HEADED political monster has NO GROUNDS to COMPLAIN - YOU VOTED FOR ALL THIS CRAP - you really did. Democrats, Republicans and most of the U.S Voters need to be sent off onto their own little island. This island would only have state jobs employing illegal immigrants who are directed and guided by no bid contracts - on this island you could have all the wars you want - kill all the people you want while saying your pro life - and play patty cake as little Johnny comes home from school to help perpetuate this whole THING (Democrats love this) - over and over and over. Then we can have another land mass for those that want to conduct COMMERCE, CREATE JOBS with products made in America by Americans (something Republicans hate). We'd also be able to live our own lives and not at the whim of some group of voters who know what's best for the rest of us. Shut up with the GIVE ME GIVE ME ways. Give me a bail out, give me money for nothing for my 10th kid out of wedlock, give me medical care though I'm not a citizen.

What's wrong with the mental health system in this country (U.S.A.)

The mental health industry dominated by psychiatric influences does not work because there are several fundamental defects in psychiatry itself. Psychiatry never has and never will deliver the results it promised because

1. They shy away from teaching traditional values. They do not teach right from wrong probably because they do not know right from wrong. In fact, quoting co-founder of the World Federation of Mental Health, psychiatrist G. Brock Chisholm announced that the key aim of psychiatry is “reinterpretation and eventual eradication of right and wrong.” This tendency to stay away from right and wrong permeate every literature of psychiatry.

2. They shy away from teaching responsibility. The psychiatric system is geared to blame all things on chemical imbalances, genetics, and indefinite childhood experiences. If a person does something wrong, it’s because he has a mental disease; he is prescribed medications, not responsibility. This is another fundamental attitude of the psychiatric profession. And that is why when we take a failing student to a psychiatrist, he does not do better in school (Our education system is failing despite years of psychiatric involvement in our schools), and when we take a criminal to a psychiatrist, he is likely to commit another crime. (Current rate of immates returning to jail is 60%.) Responsibility level was never increased by psychiatric treatments.

3. They are purely profit driven. They make $69 billion annually paid by insurance companies alone. They hire thousands upon thousands of lobbyists to seek governmental protection of their interests and grants. They form financial relationships with drug companies. Yet we find uncaring attendants, unavailable doctors, and psychiatrists who charge hundreds of dollars to insurance companies for just listening to someone for a short interval and then prescribing some medications. They are not there to help people; they are there to make money because there is easy money in this field.

4. They do not keep their noses clean. Probably because of the above points 1-3, the psychiatric industry is filled with fraudulent and criminal activities. A study showed that at least 10% of the 650,000 psychiatrists and psychologists worldwide admit to sexually abusing their patients. A factual review of more than 800 convictions over a six-year period, shows 43% were convicted of fraud, theft and embezzlement; 32% for sex crimes; 7% for patient assault and violent crimes; 6% for drug offenses and 6% for manslaughter and murder. Unethical activities have been part of the picture in the field of psychiatry from its earliest days.

5. They use a system of voting mental illnesses into existence which makes the whole subject ludicrous. Disorders voted into existence included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), the most authoritative book on officially recognized mental disorders, include “reading disorder,” “disruptive behavior disorder,” “disorder of written expression,” “mathematics disorder,” “caffeine intoxication,” and “nicotine withdrawal disorder”. The increase of mental disorders listed in the book coincides with U.S. government insurance becoming available to the mental health industry in 1968.

Because of these reasons, psychiatry did not make it. These are fundamental flaws. They are embedded in the basic theories of psychiatry itself, and these are what's wrong with the mental health system in this country.

Democrats are starting to worry that President Obama's "charge-and-spend" debt, new "cap-and-trade" tax and "apologize to the world" agendas are going to hurt them when they run for re-election, leaving the WorldNetDaily Freedom Index ticking up to 53.2 on a 100-point scale, despite a month of relatively few major controversies.

"What I think is going on here is that Democrats are growing slightly more concerned that the Democratic initiatives in Washington may come with a steep political price tag outside the beltway," said Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies.

"This is especially true after the Democratic election losses in deep blue New Jersey and in swing state Virginia," he continued.

"Those losses in the gubernatorial races represent a shocking reversal from 12 months ago, when Obama easily won both states in the presidential race, and discontent over Democratic efforts in Washington clearly played a part," he said.

"The other major factor, I think, was the terrible economy, and voters clearly deciding it made sense to blame the Democrats for not fixing things."

The monthly freedom index for November was only 53.2, up just a fraction from last month's 52.2, the lowest figure ever for the measurement. The index is an assessment of how Americans feel about a basketful of liberties.

The index was 57.6 in June, 53.2 in July, 54.2 in August and 56.4 in September before plunging in October.

Among the issues in Washington now are the Democrats' plan to increase the government's role in health care, "cap-and-trade" taxes on energy use and Obama's repeated apologies to the world for the United States. The president stirred controversy over the weekend when he bowed to the Japanese emperor, as he bowed to the Saudi king in April.

The poll was conducted Nov. 13-16 using an automated telephone technology calling a random sampling of listed telephone numbers nationwide. The survey included 29 questions and carries a 95 percent confidence interval. It included 806 adult respondents and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.





Wenzel's analysis showed that after a month in which Democrats and Republicans were split widely over several issues, including health care, members of both parties seemed to moderate their positions slightly.

"After a month in which the WorldNetDaily Freedom Index took one of its biggest one-month drops, it rebounds slightly and now stands at 53.2 on a 100–point scale. It remains four and a half points below its standing in the inaugural Index survey taken in June 2009," the report said.

The report showed Democrats "made more significant moves to positions that reflected more skepticism about the freedoms Americans enjoy. For instance, while 46 percent said last month that they believed freedoms had increased greatly under President Obama, just 39 percent said the same this month."

"And, while 61 percent of Democrats said last month that they felt there was a great deal of freedom for Americans to choose a form of religious worship without fear of penalty or retribution, just 47 percent said the same thing this month."

The index is based on a repeating series of 10 questions that measure aspects of freedom, including freedom of speech, religion, assembly and association.

"There is no question that this has been a tumultuous year for the relationship between the U.S. government and its citizens, but it hit something of a comparative calm spot during the last month, as there were really only two flash points that would have been on the minds of likely voters nationwide as they participated in this survey: the U.S. House of Representatives passage of a massive overhaul of the nation's health-care system, and the horrendous shootings at Fort Hood in Texas," said Wenzel.

"You know it is a remarkable political year when you can say that a month with such events represents a calm spot, but I think that is true. The Freedom Index bumped up slightly this month, which is a mild movement and reflects the relative calm across the country. In this same survey, President Obama's job approval rating remained the same as last month's rating – at 44 percent positive."

But he said the results make it clear "the economy may be masking some alarm over the details lurking inside the health-care bill and a proposed energy bill known as 'cap-and-trade' that threatens to seriously impact many freedoms Americans now exercise."

"Should that bill resurface next year as expected, look for this index to plummet," he warned.

He said while other Wenzel Strategies polling reveals a deep concern about health-care rationing, "for now, Americans are concerned most about the economy, and will render their judgments on these other initiatives once they learn more about them."

"Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill have done an effective job at masking important details of the health reform measure," he reported. "Those details will eventually come out, probably sometime next year if the bill manages to become law. If they are as poorly received as one might expect, look for Republicans to clean up at the ballot box next fall."

On the issue of increasing or decreasing personal freedoms under the Obama administration, those who have perceived a big decrease outnumbered those who have perceived a big increase 269-164. Among Republicans, the margin was 153-13 and among Democrats it was 36-115. Significantly, among independents, only 36 perceived a big increase in liberties while 80 felt the opposite.

Regarding an ability to associate with anyone, nearly 17 percent of Americans said they now have great fear, about the same percentage who have no fear.

More than 12 percent of the population fears punishment or penalty for the way they choose to worship, and one person in three considers the government "very intrusive" in its use of technology to monitor people.

Among independents, more than 15 percent said they often censor their own thoughts or statements on subjects because of fear of harm or punishment, even higher than the 13 percent among Republicans.

No Country For Old Men...

This country needs to take care of its problems today. It is getting worse by the hour. In Colorado, public school teachers are going to face up to 17 days of furloughs next year. The State was trying to keep this a secret but an incompetent high prinicipal let the cat out of the bag and concommitantly the fact was confirmed on NPR radio last week. The Jefferson County school district is facing a $42 million budget shortfall and deep cuts will be made to the educational protocol, but not to the incompetent bureaucracy that oversees the mess - nor to the incompetent politicians overseeing the incompetent administrators. Foreclosure filings in Colorado hit a new record during the 3rd quarter and Colorado has one of the stronger State economies. Nationwide over 14% of all mortgages were either delinquent or in foreclosure. A new record high for the 9th consecutive quarter. In some States the foreclosure/delinquency rate is over 20%.

Conditions in this country are getting worse for everyone except those in position to loot the system. Tim Geithner gets in front of Congress and ignorantly and arrogantly proclaims that he and Obama saved the system from collapse and that economic conditions are improving. THAT is an outright lie. Real unemployment (not the Government-concocted crap numbers) increases daily, banks are jacking credit card rates to usurious levels and thereby choking off holiday shopping and State Governments are in the process of financially collapsing - all this after trillions of "stimulus" and bank bailout money was injected into the system. The reality is that Geithner and Obama have transferred 100's of billions of dollars from the Taxpayers to the big banks and big corporations. Does everyone realize that there's a tax break which gives new homebuilders billions in tax credits buried in the Bill that extended unemployment benefits and homebuyer tax credits?

Taking care of today means getting rid of Geithner, Bernanke, Summers and most of the rest of Obama's corrupt Administration. Until that happens, the problems are getting worse by the hour for everyone except the big bankers, who are getting paid record bonuses this year to do "God's work." The only problem is that the money being used to pay those bonuses is coming from the Taxpayers. If Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein is doing "God's work," as he so proudly proclaimed last week, what is it exactly that Obama is doing? Should we be pledging allegiance to the United States of Goldman Sachs, one Nation under Llyod Blankfein? Is this what everyone who voted for Obama voted for? Obama ran on a campaign platform that was supposed to clean this mess up, get rid of the corruption, and CHANGE the way DC operates. Instead, he's taken the problems perpetuated by many previous Administrations and is making them even worse. Maybe this is No Country For The Middle Class...

RUSH: Harry Reid is pulling another Saturday night massacre on the American people, just like Nancy Pelosi did last week. Saturday night, a Saturday night test vote. Here's the majority leader explaining it all to us.

RUSH: All right, health care test vote on Saturday night. Let me explain why they're calling it a test vote. There are two stages to a piece of legislation in the Senate, and both stages require 60 votes. The first vote, which is what's going to happen tomorrow night, is being called a test vote because if it gets 60 votes, it then is moved to the floor and debate begins. The next vote after that requires 60 votes again to stop the debate. That's called cloture. And that vote, the cloture vote, tells us whether or not the bill will pass. The vote tomorrow night does not necessarily do that, although this vote tomorrow night is something about which we should all have great concerns. There are a number of ways this can go. He can get the 60 votes and start the debate and then start the media spin, "Well, they got 60 votes. It's just a matter of time." Then they limit the amount of debate and try to close cloture and get the final 60 votes before Christmas. If they don't get the 60 votes -- and a lot of people are worried about this. If they don't get the 60 votes -- and I, frankly, I can't read the tea leaves on this, and the reason I can't is Reid is buying votes.

He bought Mary Landrieu with $100 million provision in the health care bill. There are Medicare exceptions for the state of Louisiana, and it's a page-and-a-half long, and it allows states that have suffered a major natural disaster within the last four years, three days, and ten hours... I mean, it zeros in on Hurricane Katrina. Then you are eligible for $100 million additional in Medicare for the old folks and blah, blah, blah. Landrieu is in trouble for reelection down there and she needs to buy votes herself. Reid needs to buy votes. This is what Pelosi was doing over in the House. She was buying votes by giving individual members whatever they wanted. Ben Nelson's out there in Nebraska, and the way they're going after Ben Nelson... He comes from Nebraska. He has to make it look to his constituents like he is upholding his moderate conservative values, particularly on abortion. The abortion language in this bill is just like the Stupak amendment over in the House. It's all going to come out. Whatever is in there now to get Ben Nelson's vote will eventually come out.

So unfortunately, folks, what we're looking at here is not a vote on the merits of this. We're looking at Harry Reid buying whatever recalcitrant Democrat votes that he needs. Now, a lot of people e-mailing me last night said, "You gotta really hit the Republicans tomorrow, Rush." Folks, the Republicans are not the thing here. One of the concerns that people had, expressed to me last night, was that the Republicans got out of town allowing this vote tomorrow night rather than demanding 30 hours of debate rather than eight, which is what's going to happen tomorrow because they wanted to get home. I know the way Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republican leadership's looking at this, and that is nobody's gonna vote not to have debate. They're looking at this vote tomorrow as a fait accompli. Nobody is going to vote to not even bring this to the floor for debate. But the second phase, if that does happen -- if the test vote tomorrow night fails (and I can't see it failing, but if it does) -- then that's going to strike the fear of God into Dingy Harry and Pelosi, and that's when they're going to start moving toward reconciliation, which would blow the Senate up like nothing has before.

What they would have to do is then change this piece of legislation and call it an appropriations bill. Only budget bills can be passed by a vote of 51, a simple majority in the Senate. Everything else requires 60. It's just Senate rules. If they don't get their 60 tomorrow night, the big fear is that Dingy Harry will say, "Screw it! I'm not going to try again. We'll just go reconciliation." Because they're going to do whatever they have to do to get this done. The Democrats are a kamikaze party. They just don't know it yet. In fact, they may know it and some of them not care. They are martyring themselves politically. Let's look at some things that we've learned recently: A government panel suggesting that women (in the name of cutting costs) should be disarmed in their fight against a ruthless killer (breast cancer) by forgoing on mammograms until they're 50. And today Pap smears have been added to it. You don't need to get one every year. Women in their twenties, now every other year, because cervical cancer is slow growing and you don't have to get a Pap smear every year.

The legislation in both the House and the Senate -- and Nancy Pelosi has been asked about it and thinks it's fair and just -- American citizens can be put in jail for failing to buy health insurance. They can be fined by the IRS a percentage of their income if they fail to buy health insurance and then face five years in jail and a $250,000 fine. There are -- and we have seen the forerunners of this -- death panels for seasoned citizens, rationing of medical care. One, two, three strikes you're out in the old ball game is the way it used to be. These three items -- and there are countless others I could mention, but these three items -- are political death. No sane politician would align themselves with heartless, incompetent bureaucrats running medical care. But we don't have sane politicians in Washington. We have political martyrs-in-waiting. Democrats are the equivalent of political suicide bombers. They have strapped political bombs to themselves and they are hell-bent on taking out as many Americans as they can with them. This is how this must be looked at.

There is nothing remotely good about any of this. There's nothing compassionate about any of this. Just before they detonate their political bombs -- which is what their votes against the wishes of the people they serve are -- they may as well shout "Death to freedom!" They may as well shout "Death to freedom!" as they cast their vote. The items listed above -- the mammogram stuff, the Pap smear, going to jail for not having health insurance, death panels and rationed care... Well, there's Nelson. He's already said he's going to vote "yes" to start this because they've given him a concession (he thinks) on abortion. So Ben Nelson is in. There's so much more than those three issues: Generational theft that has taken place in the president's stimulus bill and the TARP money; double-digit unemployment with no plans to create any jobs; abandoning our troops in Afghanistan who are in harm's way; massive tax increases in Obamacare during a brutal recession that is nowhere near over -- and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed getting full constitutional rights in the jihadist propaganda show trial in New York City.

Amidst all of this, these political suicide bomber Democrats are going to vote tomorrow night to start debate on this health care plan that if it's ever signed into law will destroy this country as you and I know it. Political suicide bombers, kamikaze Democrats, call 'em what you want. There is nothing in the polls supporting any of what they're doing and yet the Democrats persist. The destruction of free market capitalism, individualism, American exceptionalism is more important to them than even their political careers. They are willing to term-limit themselves and to destroy their own political careers, rather than to do what the people want and what is right and best for the country. Democrats are voting for death panels, publicly funded abortion. Do not doubt that that's going to end up in whatever is sent up to the White House for signature. It's rationed care, higher taxes. All of that is coming our way if this monstrosity ever does see the light of day.

You haven't said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn't! Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that's $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million; not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven't you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.
I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you. I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. Who’s the extremist? The Malthusian calling for world government to scale down human population or the one reporting on it?

While the Anti-Defamation League is busying itself with smearing truth tellers, the globalists meanwhile openly call for global governance and population reduction. Oh yes, the issues we cover here are quite extreme. If that makes those reporting on them extremist conspiracy theorists intent on blowing up a federal buildings- well, let’s round up all those who investigate anything, drive them into camps and warm up the oven. After all, they might be domestic terrorists.

Take for example a publication issued by the EU-chapter of the Club of Rome titled ‘ The Crisis, Global Governance and the Road to Copenhagen’ (click to find out whether this issue is a conspiracy theory or no). In this recent newsletter put out under auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Philip of Belgium (Saxe-Coburg-Gotha), the statement reads:

“We should not let any longer “laissez-faire” economic philosophy spill over and contain ambitious global policies. The survival of a great part of mankind is at stake. Do we need to wait for the date when the maximum number of human that the planet can bear will be reached?”
I know, it’s extremist beyond measure to report on this statement, but we just can’t help ourselves. I could of course pretend I didn’t actually read the statement in this pamphlet, saying that:

“The recent events should generate the required lucidity to undertake for the 30 years to come a collective and reasonable management and allocation of natural resources. (…). They should lead to the mutualisation of the planet resources with sound global governance; (…). Otherwise there is a significant risk that humanity will fulfil Malthus’ theories, where “natural” adjustment (in form of famine, disease, epidemic, natural catastrophes, war…) would put back the world population in line with the available resources.”

Before I could avert my eyes, I also had a glimpse of the following statement:

“Many measures leading to solutions of these problems are known and the Club of Rome has long been advocating for many of them: geo-engineering, zero waste & zero carbon policies, energy taxes, de-growth of consumption in many areas…”

I’m not sure continuing to quote the Club of Rome constitutes a dangerous and extremist conspiracy theory, but hey, there it is anyway.
In their witch-hunt for extremisms, why doesn’t the ADL visit the White House, the UN, the Counsel on Foreign relations and the annual Bilderberg conferences while they’re at it. Enough extremism there to keep you busy till rapture.

Please pay a visit also to professor Saul Mendlovitz, Co-Director of World Order Models Project (WOMP) and ask him if the scribe got it right when he recorded him saying in his acceptance speech at the award ceremony of the 1990 UNESCO ‘Prize for Peace Education’ (page 36):
“It is my personal belief (not shared by all members of WOMP) that there is an overwhelming surge in the direction of global polity and that a world state is emerging. Indeed, some of the policy élite are beginning to discuss a single world central bank and a single currency.”
Another one who can be reasonably suspected as being extremist, is former president of the European Commission Jacques Delors who on September 7, 1992, gave a speech to the Royal Institute of International Affairs titled ‘The European Community and the New World Order’ in which he speaks of “world government”, “transferring sovereignty” and a “worldwide single market”.

“I would add”, stated Delors, “and I will not go into detail- that economic integration, unless it is backed by a strong political will, will not in itself produce stronger international institutions or help create world government.”

In searching for extremism it will also be worth while paying a visit to John P. Holdren’s office. You will probably find a copy of his book Ecoscience there. Have him read back the book to you and ask him to elaborate.

The list of anti-human statements from the global elite goes on. If the Anti-Defamation league is serious about its claim to go after extremism, it would be wise to go after the New World Order, not those who try to stop their openly announced plan for world domination in its tracks.

The following story in italics is a potential fictional time line for the day the dollar died. I hope not to instill fear or loathing but to give everyone some perspective on a POSSIBLE outcome which does not really take much of a reach to come to any conclusion. Despite popular belief and promises from those who wish to rob you of your savings and investments, the collapse of the dollar might just be an event measured in hours, not days as their control is not what it seems¡­..

Mike was less than an hour from home in Minnesota after dropping his load off in Fargo but knew he needed to top his tank off this Sunday evening to insure his rig would make it home. He pulled into the Petro Truck Stop just outside of Fargo and hopped out of the cab into the bitter twenty below temperatures which he could not believe had already hit at ten o¡¯clock at night. He slid his fuel card into the pump waiting for the next prompt when the ¡°SEE ATTENDANT¡± message flashed in the screen. He blustered, figured it was another card problem and whipped out his Master Card and slid it in after the pump reset and again the ¡°SEE ATTENDANT¡± message flashed up. ¡°What the hell is going on?¡± he thought to himself as he wandered into the long line of drivers boisterously yelling at managers and clerks alike.

Tom finished up his shift on the docks at the Nestle warehouse in Hampton, Georgia at exactly 11 o¡¯clock at night and decided that because of the scuttlebutt he had been reading on the message boards, it may not be a bad idea to pick up a few cans of food and some toilet paper at the local WalMart Super center. Even though it was a Sunday night, they were always stocked and it was just five minutes out of the way to his home. As he walked inside the store, his mouth dropped. It looked like the day after Thanksgiving sale with every register open and ten plus people deep at 11:30 p.m. ¡°Oh my God!¡± he gasped as he walked in grabbing the last shopping cart with the wheel that was half locked up. As he walked as fast as he could to the aisle with the paper goods, he looked at all the shelves then noticed the clerk who looked stunned himself. ¡°How in the SAM HELL does WalMart sell out of Toilet Paper son?¡± he screamed at the eighteen year old kid. ¡°Sir, I don¡¯t know what is going on. Is the world ending? I¡¯m a little freaked out!¡± the clerk stammered. Tom realized that he was not to blame and as he calmed down said to the kid ¡°Son, I don¡¯t know what is going on either. It must be an ice storm on the way. Are you folks getting another truck soon?¡± The clerk said in a very low voice ¡°Sir, I think there are two coming at 2 a.m. I would wait here if I were you.¡± With that information Tom slinked outside to his car and called his wife at home just before midnight to tell her he would be staying to wait on the WalMart trucks.

It was a typical Sunday night in my household, a tremendous dinner, nice weather in Florida and of course a chance to chat with my friends online about the events of the world. The big news was that on Friday, February 19, 2010 the US Dollar Index closed at 69.07 far below any level in history and of course shattering all known technical support. As I grabbed a glass of Port and settled in front of my computer at 5 p.m. Eastern to watch the Asian fireworks and watch Bloomberg and CNBC-Asia on my computer, I noticed the Middle Eastern markets closed in horrid shape. The Israeli market closed three hours after the open and down 22% for the session. The Saudi markets closed after one hour and down 41%. Other regional markets did not open or were shut down due to national emergency declarations. As I tuned in expecting the usual repeat on Bloomberg, it was live with a somewhat excited news babe reading information from a blog reporting ¡°rumors¡± that the CEO¡¯s of Citigroup and Bank of America were in meetings since 11 a.m. with the New York Fed. At that point, it was time to put the port up and break out the hard stuff.

Gold had closed at a record high again, up some $37 to finish Friday¡¯s session up at $1289 and change so I figured it would be jumping again with all of this worldly instability on display. I searched the boards and feeds like mad, looking for anything on an Iranian attack or outbreak of war elsewhere in the world but nothing was found at all. As 6 p.m. Eastern flipped up on my watch, CNBC interrupted their programming with a live update from New York instead of Australia or Tokyo about the meeting at the NY Fed. Bloomberg also broke from their Asian coverage with a brief story but no details as to why there was a meeting today or who else was there. As the New Zealand markets opened, the prices went nuts but shockingly to the upside. Their markets shot up 11% on the open to break over the 3900 price level but that was not the story. As the futures opened in Chicago for the evening session, no matter where you were in the world that day or night, you printed that screen at 6:04 p.m. Eastern time as the prints were staggering:

Holy Smokes! This was an absurd way to start the night and my phone started ringing along with text messages and emails out my wazoo. The sense of panic was evident on Bernie Lo¡¯s face as he came on to the air discussing what was happening in the futures market and fortunately he announced that Jim Rogers would be joining him after the next break. As the commercial started at 6:09 p.m. Eastern the scroll at the bottom of the screen was bright red with the headline:

ALL U.S. EQUITY FUTURES ARE LOCK LIMIT DOWN¡­..TRADING SUSPENDED UNTIL 0900 ET MONDAY FEB 22¡­.US DOLLAR BEING SOLD ACROSS THE BOARD

By 6:15 the Euro was trading at $1.92, the Kiwi (New Zealand Dollar) at $1.26, the Aussie Dollar well beyond par at $1.39 and the Canadian Loonie rocketing past par to $1.33. The U.S. Dollar was in a full fledged collapse and the world was putting money anywhere they could to escape the carnage. As the New Zealand equity markets struggled to handle the order flow an announcement emerged at 6:27 p.m. Eastern time that they would no longer accept U.S. dollars within their nation for the next 72 hours until the United States Federal Reserve Bank introduced stability measures. That instantly turned a huge move to the upside to down 17% in less than three minutes and soon thereafter, trading was suspended by 7 p.m. Eastern time. Instead of waiting to see what was next, I left at 6:51 p.m. to run down the street and take $500 from the local grocery store ATM, returning just in time for the top of the hour news.


1900 ET

The Australian markets attempted to open but due to order imbalances they were delayed twenty-seven minutes. It was a buying frenzy in Australia also as the Aussie Dollar was skyrocketing higher and gold continued to gain, now up $273.20 per ounce in less than two hours of trading. The Chicago board was going to make a statement at 8 p.m. ET and the world was holding its collective breath because something bad was happening again in the United States and everyone wanted to buy into foreign markets to escape the American disaster on the horizon. After a brief opening, the Australian government followed suit with the New Zealand announcement and suspended acceptance of the U.S. Dollar for commerce until further notice. The Japanese were very quiet in the mean time as they announced at 7 p.m. they would keep their markets closed but the huge move in the Yen caused massive concerns as noted by the central bank. The yen appreciated from a close of 79.8213 on Friday the 19th to an opening of 48.7326 in less than an hour of trading. Nobody wanted dollars and even fewer people it was discovered wanted the British Pound. The Pound for the first time in its history was worth less than 100 yen and it was well on its way to joining the US Dollar in a death spiral.

The internet is crawling. Message boards were lit up with record numbers of participants. Rumors swirled about declarations of martial law, bank holidays, secret wars and other crazy things. Yet my phone messages, conversations, texts and emails told me there was something very very wrong. Two of my friends called me to tell me the consequences of the failed 30 year bond auction last Thursday came home to roost over the weekend. Citi and BoA were rumored to have a huge CDS obligation due to the interest rates being blown outside of the norm and the 6.05% yield from the auction cost the banks an estimated $400 billion each if they were forced to settle open swap contracts and derivative issues by Monday or the end of the month. The swaps and derivatives which were to prevent the collapse may actually have finally started it but nobody could verify anything that was happening as the NY Fed looked like a war zone with hundreds of cameras around the building and reporters speculating endlessly on every cable channel.

I did not know who to believe but when Bloomberg played the excerpt from Jim Rogers¡¯ interview just after the top of the hour where he said ¡°this is what a currency collapse looks like and if you were not prepared, you were wiped out¡± really resonated with everyone on the Bloomberg set and throughout the news worldwide. The Chicago Futures were closed by order of the CFTC and SEC and that was the big announcement but it was assumed anyways because there was no way the COMEX or anyone else could possibly have kept up with the demand for precious metals as the last print had gold over $1579 per ounce and worse, the base metals closing at obscene prices like $6.79 per lb. for copper! The Shanghai markets were ordered open for domestic participants only and no overseas selling was allowed nor trading in US Dollars thus allowing the communists to manage their banking situation without outside influence. Unfortunately a rumor was confirmed on FNC later in the hour that Chinese troops were deployed to all U.S. and British bank branches inside their nation. That only permeated the panic already felt on the internet and in the air. The news at the top of the hour was even more shocking.

CNN led the hour off with coverage of the ¡°FINANCIAL CRISIS OF 2010¡å with breaking news about two hedge fund managers committing suicide in their offices in New York. That did not help the confidence level nor did the statement from Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner at 10:09 p.m. Eastern that the ¡°government was in full control of the situation and that the panic world wide was unwarranted.¡± When he finished the statement assuring that the financial markets would probably open on time in the morning, the snicker from CNBC¡¯s team of Gasparino and Griffith spoke volumes about what was really occurring.

Somehow a picture of Goldman Sachs CEO Blankfein and JP Morgan¡¯s CEO Jamie Dimon entering the New York Federal Reserve building was leaked out and broadcast on cable news and financial news outlets causing more discussions and a genuine sense of panic to grip everyone. Reports about credit cards not working for the last two hours nationwide were swamping the newsrooms but no comments from VISA, Master Charge or anyone else was forthcoming.

It was officially a panic. Reports on local news stations about grocery store shelves being cleaned out and ATM machines running out of money hours ago and not being refilled were broadcast nationwide. Even my local station had a story about accessing the reporter¡¯s bank account online and all they got was a very scary message as they attempted to reach his bank¡¯s web page:

WWOR and WCBS started reporting that gas stations in the New York City and northern New Jersey areas were running out of gas even though credit cards did not work. The cable news stations and financial news networks just recycled earlier news with updates at the top of the hour. The world markets were closed and everyone was holding their breath to see what happened the next morning.

0200 ET

As I struggled to stay awake, NY Federal Reserve President Denis Hughes came to the microphones with Dimon, Blankfein and shockingly Ben Bernanke. Hughes immediately deferred to Bernanke who said that the President would address the nation at 7 a.m. Eastern Time and that he felt the crisis was averted for the moment and that everyone should have faith in the United State¡¯s policy of a strong currency and banking system. After that statement was concluded, Bloomberg switched to a banking analyst from Singapore who said that the U.S. was now a hulking smoking black hole in the ground and the only thing it was good for was to return those worthless dollars back to ¡°THAT¡± nation so ¡°THEY¡± could burn them to stay warm this winter.

Someone on the message board posted a story from WTOP that military police were seen setting up roadblocks throughout Washington, D.C. There was no video or other confirmation within that hour. I had to make double strength coffee at that point in time but instead set my alarm for 0500 to try to grab a nap. I was not about to miss what was going to be a day to remember in American history.

So sue me! I hit my snooze button then realized I fell asleep with the computer and television on and the news was flying. In big bold red at the top of CNBC¡¯s screen was the announcement COUNTDOWN TO SPEECH and a counter moving towards 0700 Eastern. As I flipped the channels half awake, I noticed a BREAKING NEWS announcement on CNN and there was a feed from WSB in Atlanta, GA with their helicopter video of the Georgia State Patrol closing off all streets within three blocks of the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta and also around the Federal Home Loan Bank. That sent a chill down my spine as I flipped back on to the computer to see over two hundred unread emails and message upon message about shortages, internet outages, credit card problems and worst of all, gas stations running out of fuel. The other shocker was the suspension of international flights in many U.S. cities as the suppliers put every airline on C.O.D. effective immediately at 2:30 a.m. Eastern Time and that suspended a ton of flights inside the United States and worldwide. The cascading effects were stunning, even to those of us who were warning about it.

Several European markets attempted to open in coordination with Middle Eastern markets but the declines were so severe that within ten minutes of trading the authorities shut them all down within a half hour:

The Euro was up another 10% against the dollar and the Swiss Franc was now worth over $1.40 U.S. As the discussions about the problems with the U.S. dollar accelerated, banks were being shut down in Europe in nation after nation to prevent runs. Sadly for the Brits, the Sterling was now trading so poorly in Europe that it was worth just 1/3 of a Euro at some trading desks. By the top of the hour, video of riots in front of banks in Frankfurt and Glasgow were broadcast nationwide. At 5:55 a.m. Eastern the news took a dark turn with this BREAKING NEWS headline:

OBAMA AND BERNANKE TO SPEAK TO THE NATION AT 6 A.M. EST

0600 ET

The speech was low key, solemn and to the point. Obama announced a one week bank holiday. All credit card transactions and all collection actions of any sort were hereby suspended for seven days. All financial markets were closed until further notice. All mortgage and bill payment due dates were suspended for thirty days and no past due notices nor penalties were to be allowed by Federal Law. All schools were closed for seventy-two hours be they public or private. The city of Washington, D.C. was hereby declared to be under a state of martial law and all citizens were ordered to observe a curfew from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily. Just as that sunk in, Ben Bernanke stepped up to the microphone to announce that President Obama, Treasury Secretary Geithner and all of the Federal Reserve Presidents along with himself were going to depart for Geneva for an emergency meeting of the G-20, IMF, World Bank and United Nations Financial Stability Working Group. Bernanke also announced that Citigroup, N.A. and Bank of America were hereby nationalized and placed under control of the United States Treasury under the auspices of the FDIC and that Sheila Bair would have an announcement at 8 a.m. Eastern. As he finished the announcement, an obviously exhausted Federal Reserve Chairman concluded by assuring the citizens of the nation that a stable currency was their only goal from this meeting of world financial leaders. I noted he did not say what currency though he was referring to.

By now, CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg were knee deep in wall to wall coverage but so were the broadcast and cable networks. America was on the brink was the preaching and screaming and the ¡°bulls¡± were being gored by the permabears every time they uttered any statements about ¡°how we¡¯ve been through worse¡± etc., etc.

The announcement of the seizure by the FDIC of two of the largest banks in the world was pretty standard and short. The follow up statement by Ms. Barr though is what caused every newsroom to take pause when she stated that ¡°further consolidations will be announced in the next seventy-two hours.¡±

The Bubblemedia was stunned and even shocked when Canada announced that they would attempt to open their financial markets for two hours of trading and that their banks would be open for normal domestic customers and business from 10 a.m. until noon Eastern time. Everyone on television looked at each other and just asked ¡°How?¡±

I had forgotten to call in sick to work but then again the phone call from the company owner was pretty much a ¡°well now what¡± as we laughed in a gallows humor discussion. He understood why I was home and he had already told the employees that he was closing at noon and would reopen when we could actually collect real money on what we sold and leased out. I told him I would call him at home later or meet him with a bottle on the golf course in the morning, weather permitting.

The chilling video of the Federal Reserve heads, Geithner and Obama boarding Air Force One to leave for Geneva from Washington, D.C. really had an impact on me.

The Canadian markets opened up 10% in ten minutes then rolled over down 31% by 10:30. The scary part was that the Canadian dollar kept on rising even though commodity trading was suspended and everyone was wondering just what gold would be priced at if the markets were allowed to trade.

As the day wore on, it was a blur of shocking story after shocking story. The President and his entourage arrived in Switzerland along with other world leaders but little was discussed or disclosed. The reports of banks being fire bombed by nuts throughout parts of the U.S. made the international news and caused all of us to feel somewhat uncomfortable as to what was next. The 8 p.m. interruption of normal prime time programming with a FEMA NEWS ALERT which lasted ten minutes and was repeated at the top of every hour with little if any information caused even more panic in the masses. Today I watched our dollar die in a matter of hours even though I knew how it was killed months if not years ago. I just wondered how bad the announcement out of Geneva was going to be as our bankers and politicians sold our souls out to save their rear ends.

I also wondered if I would ever sleep again.

October 2, 2005 -- A FORMER Scientology staffer is breaking her silence about being sexually assaulted 100 times at ages 16 and 17 by the church supervisor she was "ordered" to live with, and then receiving threats and intimidating phone calls when she reported the abuse. Five years ago, Gabriel Williams, then a 27-year-old chief supervisor at the Church of Scientology in Mountain View, Calif., forced then-16-year-old Jennifer Stewart to have intercourse with him on the first evening she moved in, according to her statements in court records.

After Williams was charged with rape and sodomy with a minor - and later convicted of sexual battery and sodomy - Stewart's family endured death threats, stalkers and other harassment.

"We want the world to know that when Tom Cruise calls psychiatry a 'pseudoscience,' it's all part of Scientology's plan to brainwash people," said Stewart's husband, Tom Gorman, referring to the actor's "Today" show interview in June.

Stewart believed that if she went to the police, she would not be able to avoid being sent to a psychiatrist. According to Scientology, psychiatry is a source of evil. Members who see "psychs" or take psychiatric drugs will be declared "SP" - "suppressive person" - and can't achieve spiritual freedom.

In a related civil suit brought by Stewart against Williams and the church, she recently received as part of the settlement a "generous monetary resolution," said her attorney. Although the church admitted no wrongdoing, it forked over about $700,000, sources say.

Stewart's ordeal began in 2000, when she became a supervisor under Williams at the church in the San Francisco area, where she and Gorman were raised as Scientologists. She had come to know Williams as someone who made "lots of overt sexual comments" about women, she says.

Still, she was told by a senior church staffer that the church had "ordered her" to work from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and to live with Williams and his fianc=E9e at their San Jose flat, which was closer to the church than her home, making carpooling easier, she says.

"At the time, Williams was a highly regarded member of the church, so the arrangement seemed safe," said her father, Michael Stewart. According to court documents, the church said it "refutes any 'order' by management instructing the victim to stay with" Williams.

After Williams assaulted Stewart the first night, he did so again the next, telling her, "I'll kill you if you say anything," according to the police report.

"Williams told me everything that was happening was my fault because I'd been evil in a past life," said Stewart. "If I told anyone, I'd be sent to a psych and be taken away from my family."

Only after Gorman became suspicious of bruises on Stewart's body in May 2001 did she admit what Williams had been doing, he said.

THE next day, Gorman and Stewart told Stewart's father. Michael Stewart took his family out of the church and hid his daughter. A few days later, he told church authorities what Williams had done.

"A deputy special affairs officer told me not to go to the police," said the elder Stewart. "If we did, we'd lose Jennifer to child services."

"The church had no knowledge of the relationship between Williams and Stewart, and upon learning of the allegations and determining that Gabe and Jennifer were indeed having a relationship, Gabe was immediately fired," said Jeff Quiros, president of the Church of Scientology San Francisco.

Quiros sent The Post several testimonials from acquaintances and colleagues of Stewart and Gorman, which he said would have been entered as evidence in the criminal proceedings had Williams not struck a plea deal that settled the case without trial.

Elliot Abelson, an attorney for Quiros' church, emphasized that the church never knew about Williams' behavior, that Williams was fired within a day of them finding out about the allegations, and that there have been no other such cases within the church.

Michael Stewart finally went to the cops on his daughter's 18th birthday, when the fear of losing her to the state no longer loomed.

More than a year after his last assault on Stewart, Williams was arrested in Florida in 2002 by a San Jose detective, according to the DA in the case.

While Williams was waiting for his criminal case to be heard, Stewart, who married Gorman in 2002 and now lives with his family in San Francisco, filed a civil suit against him and the church.

That was when the threats began, they say. On one occasion, a man phoned Gorman's father and said, "SPs don't live long. Your son and his wife, Jennifer, will be dead soon," according to a police report.

"Who else would use the term 'SP'?" said the younger Gorman. Such incidents continued up until three months ago, he says.

After doing about eight months in jail, Williams was released last year. Now on probation, he lives in Clearlake Oaks, Calif., with his wife and two kids.

"I paid my debt to society in this matter, and I was not found liable in the civil action," Williams said through his attorney.

HOW TO TALK TO A SCIENTOLOGIST.



I think people are interested in why a Scientologist stays one and why some leave, so I thought I would talk to you about it.



I was a Scientologist for 27 years. I gave them over two hundred thousand dollars of my own money. In fact, until earlier this year I still considered myself a Scientologist.



There is a lot of information that Scientology is destructive. Scientology has had to pay out millions of dollars to people they have harmed. Yet, as you may know, it is almost impossible to talk about these things with a dedicated Scientologist. I hope to give you some clues.



You might wonder how I decided to leave. After all, my parents tried to talk me out of it. My sister tried to talk me out of it. My friends tried to talk me out of it. None succeeded.



I wouldn�t listen to anyone who tried to dissuade me from Scientology. I kept myself from reading critical news articles or viewing television shows. I never read critical books. I thought it was all lies anyway. I would have defended Scientology to the death.



So there are a few things you don�t want to do when taking to a Scientologist.



Don�t talk to them about the weird stuff. Most Scientologists don�t know about it and are trained in the idea that finding out about it too soon will kill them. So just leave that entirely alone. It may freak you out and you may want to share it, but they will think it is a personal attack.



Don�t tell them it is not a religion. A Scientologist will instantly tune you out the moment you say that. After all they have subjective experience that is to them completely spiritual and religious in nature. To assert it isn�t is to be calling them a liar and denying their own experience.



Scientologists invest a lot of their life and almost all their money in pursuit of the Scientology total freedom. I want you to understand that. Take myself as an example. Almost all my friends were Scientologists. Almost all my money went to Scientology. Up to 20 hours a week were spent at the church studying or getting counseling, even when I had a full time job. My whole life centered around Scientology and I wasn�t even a staff member. For a staff member it becomes all consuming.



I felt that Scientology had saved my life. That I would otherwise have destroyed myself with drugs or suicide. I felt I had experienced personal insight into the nature of my own being through Scientology. It explained everything to me.



To tell me it isn�t a religion runs counter to my belief, but more importantly, it runs counter to my investment. If it is not a religion, then what did I do with my two hundred thousand dollars and my 27 years of association and all those hours of study and counseling? I would have to admit that waste and I�m not going to do that just because you state, "It�s not a religion."



Don�t tell them Hubbard was a con-man and a fraud and a bigamist and that almost nothing he said about himself was true. A Scientologist can�t believe that because he has been told that such statements are all lies. That the documents that show these things are fabrications by a shadowy conspiracy to destroy L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology and thus deny people the total freedom Scientology offers.



You�re in a he-said she-said situation. In fact, without careful research you might be presenting false information that the church has put on the �net just so they can show their members how false it all is. So a Scientologist will be sure you are now a tool of the conspiracy, out to destroy Scientology. And they will not listen.



Don�t tell them Scientology doesn�t work. For a Scientologist, it does work. They know it. They will be able to point out one or many times where they had a success or it helped them through something or they felt better about themselves. They may have past life memories that convince them of their spiritual nature. They can have experienced wonderful things.



In fact, I still feel that some things in Scientology help. It is one of the hardest things to get over and understand and I am still coping with it. Because a lot of the writing that Hubbard did appeals to one�s better nature, to the idea of helping people, of attaining one�s dreams. It is very seductive and if you have any success at it, you will attribute it to Scientology.



But I�ve been doing some research. And one book is a book called "Hypnotism" written by G.H. Estabrooks in 1943. In chapter three he says: "There is a rule in Hypnotism that everything we get in a trance can also be obtained by means of the posthypnotic suggestion. Also that anything we find in either can be found in autosuggestion..."



So I am coming to believe that almost everything that occurs in Scientology that a Scientologist experiences and believes in comes about as the self-suggested result of a kind of auto-hypnosis. Everything that seems to work or be positive is attributed to Scientology, and everything negative is assigned to personal failure or lack of understanding of Scientology. After which there is a long bout of study to correct the matter, which again is a kind of auto-hypnosis.



And any outside challenge to that carefully maintained trance will result in greater and greater resistance.

So how Do you talk to a Scientologist?



First, you have to care. You have to care for them. Regardless of what you think about what they believe or do, you have to care.



Throw out any bigotry or intolerance you might have and be a caring person. Listen to them. Assure them you only want good things for them. Give them a safe place to visit or come to.



Many times Scientologists won�t leave the church even though they want to, if they have no safe place or people of unconditional trust to go to.



It is a huge personal event to leave Scientology. You have to somehow come to the decision you were wrong and all that money and time and investment is lost. You have to be willing to lose your friends, maybe even a husband or wife or children. Few people can do that when others are telling them they were wrong. And really, what a person has hypnotized himself into can only be undone by himself.



Tell them that if they want to come and see you, just call and you�ll pay their way. Don�t say "leave the church", say "come and see me." If they call, send them an airplane ticket or go pick them up. And when they show up on your door step, don�t be surprised, be supportive. Don�t eagerly use their leaving to present them with stacks of information critical of Scientology. You can ask them about it, but they have a lot to think about. It can take some time. Give them space. Let them ask for information or let them use the internet to find out for themselves.



If they want to talk, get them talking about it. Have them tell you their experiences, good and bad. Talking helps, especially when the person listening is nonjudgmental.



It is the internal conflicts I experienced within Scientology that broke the spell for me. So if I were now talking to a Scientologist, I would talk to them about these things:



Get them to explain about the powers of an operating thetan, the higher levels in Scientology. And then ask them if they knew of people on those levels getting sick or getting cancer or dying or just leaving the church. Get them to think how the reality they observe differs from what is promised. Even for people who have been in Scientology for years. Tell them you are confused; if these magnificent powers existed, how then could critics of the church continue to write or even to exist? Couldn�t a top level Scientologist just wish them away?



Get them to describe the ideals of Scientology ethics and justice and how Scientologists are supposed to be honest and straightforward. Find out if they know any Scientologists who won�t pay back loans, who have trouble with paying their rent, who have done a lot of Scientology but still seem shady or involved in schemes. If they have been around awhile, they will know some or will have heard of many such things.



Get them to explain "having to have before you can do" and have them tell you about what Scientologists are told they need to do to before management releases the next "O.T." levels. Then wonder, if it is so important that these levels be done to ensure the hope of the future, why are there things that have to be done first?



Find out if they experienced the misapplication of Scientology justice themselves. Get them to talk about it.



Find out what they think about Hubbard�s writings being revised over 15 years after his death. Does it make sense to them?



See if they will talk about their feelings that it is "just them" having trouble, but that Scientology really is good. It is very common for people to go for decades wondering privately why they are not getting the promised gains from Scientology while outwardly defending it to the death.



These kinds of questions and getting them to think about what they experienced and observed as compared to what they are taught and led to believe are a key to breaking the kind of spell they are under.



So, I think that you should talk with a Scientologist completely nonjudgmentally. Get them to talk about what they have observed themselves in fellow Scientologists, organizations, management and activities as compared to what they are given to believe from Hubbard�s writings and the promises of management. This way you open the door far enough that they will begin to read and compare the stories and experiences of ex-Scientologists with their own.



Once that happens, you can help them. But don�t push it on them. And then by reading actual documents such as Hubbard�s death certificate and the coroner�s report and toxic screen, the depositions in court testimony, police reports in the Lisa McPherson case, etc., they can begin to form a picture of what they were prevented from knowing. And choose.



So how do you talk to a Scientologist? With care and understanding. They found a reason to be in it. Give them the space and time and resources to find a reason to be out of it.

The Lisa McPherson case has been an open investigation in Clearwater, FL since McPherson's death almost three years ago. State prosecutors have been studying evidence in an effort to determine whether to file charges against Scientology for McPherson's death. Lisa McPherson died in December, 1995 at 36 after spending 17 ghastly days in the hands of Scientologists in Scientology's landmark building, the Ft. Harrison hotel. The records of Scientologists in charge of her during those days depict a psychologically distressed woman, but she was not medically treated. When she became extremely ill, Scientology staffers drove 45 minutes - past two hospitals - to bring her to a Scientologist doctor. She was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Autopsy reports show she was severely dehydrated and bruised, with insect bits on her body. In December, 1997 investigators recommended to State Attorney Bernie McCabe to prosecute Scientology on criminal charges. On November 13, 1998, McCabe indicted Scientology in McPherson's death, charging the organization with abuse or neglect of a disabled adult and practicing medicine without a license, both felonies.

In the U.S. more than $20 billion is spent each year on psychiatric practice and treatment in the prisons and judicial system, yet the recidivism rate exceeds 60%.

Psychiatrists charge $3,600 to $25,000 for each court appearance in the U.S. They assert that the offenders are not responsible for their acts but are instead victims of mental disorders.

Electric Convulsive Therapy is still in practice in the U.S. 660,000 electroshocks were administered annually in the U.S. and making $5 billion for the psychiatric industry annually. The 2003 U.S. Mental Health Foundation ECT Fact Sheet reports that ECT causes brain damage, memory loss, and disorientation. In 2005 FDA reported patients sustaining severe burns, deaths, and pregnant women suffering miscarriages. The number of American seniors aged 65 who receive electroshock is more than three and a half times that of those aged 64. Why? Government health insurance for senior citizens becomes available at 65, yet it is a well-known fact that with the increase in age, the risk of cardiac arrest increases during ECT.

Ritalin, a commonly prescribed medication for use on children, was classified in 1971 in the same abuse category as morphine, cocaine, and opium. More potent than cocaine, it causes stunted growth, weight loss and psychosis. Suicide is a major complication during withdrawal. It can cause stroke and cardiac arrest.

After heavy lobbying by pharmaceutical interests, by 1991, federal funding of $400 was granted for every child labeled with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in U.S. public schools. There has been a 900% increase in the number of children diagnosed with ADHD and a 665% increase in the production of stimulants to treat it as a result. Today, millions of children are diagnosed with ADHD.

Mass Mind Control Through Network Television (Part 2)

The techniques are increasing in their sophistication over time as the mind scientists that serve the empire continue to discover scientific breakthroughs as to how the human brain functions, learns, retains information, and behaves. The most effective brainwashing techniques are used on the most successful propaganda networks. Examine the music bed that lies low during the fright night scope of the second. It's spooky. I wonder if we are supposed to be thinking with our minds or getting ready for stunt. Observe the graphics with the music. They're glitzy and flashing. Like the monkey that is attracted to shiny objects, it's our monkey hand that controls to remote often stops the search for entertainment when the proper amount of glamour catches their attention. Most importantly, notice the repetition behind the lies that the politicians and their corporate media groupies tell us. You see, the unimaginable fallacies are created as 'truth' not because it's logical or provable, but because of the broken record technique. No matter how ridiculous the lie, it's repeated often enough that the brain doesn't know the difference between reality and nursery rhymes. This technique is under estimated in its ability to allow the puppeteers to hypnotize millions of people. Instead of "Fair and balanced" it's "We say it enough times, and you believe it."

It's a tragic day when the state can monopolize on the enslaving and imprisonment of a population. Hollywood will continue to frighten us with films on the mafia, gangsters, and the corrupt blue collar criminal whose stupidity and greed get them caught. In the end, our minds are already pre conditioned to accept living in a police state economy and society because we read it in the paper, saw it praised on the news and talk shows, or saw it in a movie. There are several movies planned right now that support the official story of 911 and a few movies that glamorize the War on IRAQ. According to David L Robb, Author of Operation Hollywood, "Hollywood and the Pentagon have a long history of making movies together. It's a tradition that stretches back to the early days of silent films, and extends right up until the present day. It's been a collaboration that works well for both sides. Hollywood producers get what they want - access to billions of dollars worth of military hardware and equipment - tanks, jet fighters, nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers - and the military gets what it wants - films that portray the military in a positive light; films that help the services in their recruiting efforts. The Pentagon is not merely a passive supporter of films, however. If the Pentagon doesn't like a script, it will usually suggest script changes that will allow the film to receive the military's support and approval. Sometimes these proposed changes are minor. But sometimes the changes are dramatic. Sometimes they change dialogue. Sometimes they change characters. Sometimes they even change history." They create something coined 'disinfotainment'. They mix disinformation with entertainment and call it disinfotainment.

Unadulterated Violence is now accepted on regular TV. Killing in the name of the mother government is praised, that is unless the violence is committed in self defense to protect someone from the system. Sharp shooters, bombers, and assassin are worshipped if they are fighting for the system, are in the military, or are associated with groups that control the masses locally, such as the local police department. I don't condone violence, however it's hypocritical to support one form of homicide when it favors the elite, and condemn another when it's done to protect your land, freedom, or loved ones. This odd reality transfers itself into the shady world of video games that are stepped in plots and tasks to kill as much as the player can. The players are getting younger and younger with 7 out of 10 children playing games with a 'Mature' rating. Recently I was browsing the PC video game selection at a very large electronics store. I was appalled to see nearly 50 different games in which the setting of the game is IRAQ and the goal is to kill as many insurgents as possible and fulfill the mission. Children today are being indoctrinated through their favorite games and law enforcement programs to be the button pushes of the weapons of mass destruction for tomorrow's world.

Is it any wonder why there are two house bills and a senate bill (with more on the way), which are giant steps in dismantling free speech of the general public. These bills together would kill (PEG) cable access centers where the public still owns the airwaves. It's the programming created locally, without censorship or commercial gain. Their income is derived from franchises within the local cities and a small percentage cable subscriber frees. This is a corporate takeover because this is centralizing communication by removing the locally based programming and moving the audience to the more official, nationalistic, and sensational programs that promotes violence, uniformity, and slavery over peach, diversity and freedom. Cable access features free speech and information with perspectives neglected by mainstream television. It also features a free flow programming system with fresh programs being aired by new producers on a rotating basis. This keeps the content and information creative and locally based while network TV is rigid with regular time slots and repetitive programming.

The blocks of programming that are universally accepted parallel the shift to craft our entire lives towards the factory's bell and the illusion of time. This is the creation of the hive mind. The hive mind is result of massive brainwashing to the general public. Everyone shares the same thoughts, goals, knowledge and understanding. A hive mind society gears itself towards conformity and ignores diversity while masqueraded as the road to utopia in mainstream television. Network programming, weather it's the news or drama, is geared towards artificially creating your world and reality. With the proper amount of entertainment and sensationalism, we may even be living our lives through the television set. Many anchors and actors are beautiful and research shows that attractive people are usually perceived as trust worthy. While the real news rolls quickly by on the bottom of your screen, the anchor is selling you on the idea of having your very own police state hell hole right here in your local jurisdiction, or how 2 sports opposing teams chased around on a court for 2 hours in attempt to score points means something to you. No education, no information, SPIN. Today the media represents a tool of brainwashing and indoctrination that is utilized on behalf of the owners interests.

Since the 1996 Telco act, television and radio stations all across the nation were bought out by major international media outlets. Clear Channel and Infinity are the two largest corporations in radio today. This has centralized the distribution of information and has threatened our free society ever since. The media drums to the heartbeat of its owners, whose interests are not of the general public. Instead they are interested in their other financial endeavors like defense contracting, oil business, political parties, prison industry. The conflicts of interest are monumental with the deregulation of the corporations. The lines are now blurred between one network's coverage of the war and the other.

Once we come to the conclusion that the media is intentionally deceiving us, we can apply the principles of problem-reaction-solution. This formula takes a problem by either creating it or allowing it to happen and presenting that to the population. It could be terrorism, molestation, extra terrestrials. These topics create fear and no one in their right mind would support terrorism or crime. It's therefore OK to blast the television, the papers, and radio with 'the problem.' The natural reaction from the people is a request for more control to ensure more safety. Most let their fear and emotional side control their decisions and usually translated into something like, "The government needs more power over our lives to make us safer and freer from tyranny. I believe what the media tells me so I will support whatever decisions they make." Today's mainstream corporate news program discourages dissent of the war and paints activists with a negative brush that hints of treason. At the same time, the so-called journalists are cogs in a much larger machine who know that if they report a story that paints the government in a dark light, is likely to remain on 'the wire' and off the front page.

The most disturbing thing about spending a single hour examining network cable news and modern Hollywood films are the reoccurring themes in the backdrop. The central ideas of countless "investigative reports" or "Friday night special" features are about a threat of some type over the horizon. The end of the world as we know it is being sold. If the news isn't feeding it to you, then the History Channel or Discover Channel are either talking about the crusades, asteroids, UFOs, earthquakes, terrorism, or exposes about serial killers. They are crafted a message that our world is unstable, and the threat is always an invisible and dangerous one that only our military can fix. When you record and log all the messages, you end up with a script, a screen write produced through the movie studios of Hollywood hell.
I am not alone in noting this observation. Local and network news are designing their editorials about despair and fear because the owners, producers, and editors now understand that fear sells. The end result are the desired ratings, delivered like expected. The masters of modern spin understand that we like to be terrified. Just look at the success in the action/suspense/terror genres that have plopped onto the conveyor belt and packaged for our glee consumption. When the editors in charge found out that simply plastering a terror alert chart didn't scare the people the same way it used to, they began to kick up the campaign of terror a few notches with new and creative ways to sell the police state.

When you get to the other side of the terror alerts of all shapes and sizes, you find another nightmare masquerading as the savior. The 'Ministry of Truth' will protect you. The mother government is here to rescue you and squash this brown terrorist bug, this gray alien, this avian bird flu, and every other nightmare that the nightly news brought you. The finest public relations specialists take the science of worshipping our kings down to a frame by frame level. George W. Bush is pictured in numerous poises with a hallo around his head. In other pictures, he stands tall with dozens of American flags blowing in the wind behind him. A more blasphemous display features him speaking in front of the cross of Jesus Christ. The message send couldn't be more clearly presented. Our current leaders are of the messiah status and only through them, will we reach the gates of safety. The lie that has been accepted by so many as truth is that this is a religious war. Numerous prime time programs are telling the story of the crusades (without the horrors) to synch our vibrations up to something out of the 13th Century, instead of the 21st Century. If the America people accept the fact that the crusades are here, that George Bush reports directly to god, and that revelations are here, then they have won the war for our minds.

The loudspeaker whispers, "All our problems are by accident, never design." Across the room the system's minion snorts, "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear." It's that plot that says Middle Eastern terrorists from an Afghan cave are the reason beyond our little, "War on terror." Related messages in the script demonize young minority males and suggest harsh punishments for crimes they commit. They don't come out overtly and state their racist agenda. They come at you from the side by airing the same crime news repetitively, usually when it's committed by the minority group. The networks love the fact that the TV sets the norms in society and today, and hence politically opinion. Who would imagine that in the United States of America, both candidates of both parties in the 2004 election would be members of the Skull and Bones society at Yale University? Out of 290 million Americans, this is the best we could come up with?

It is the decision of the owners to influence producers, editors, and others involved to paint to brush to fit the objective, which is the bottom line. If Sports is what the people want, then they get it, usually in large doses. Multi-media sports (or spectator sports) is just an escape from our own existence. It's like gambling, or drug addiction. It provides that buffer zone of rooting for something with other people that we've been told is good. People's fantasies also lead them to fixating on sports. Its simulated masculinity, in an age where there's a push to change us from men to robots. It's human nature to resist and fight that which is suppressing us. The sociologists and psychologists in areas of influence know this. Spectator sports prove the outlet internationally for what has been stripped away from us. We've lost the right to rebel and change our government through warfare if necessary. Today the bulk of our nation's population today doesn't know what's really going on with the fall of the American dollar and the plans for the transfer of American wealth to other countries. However, most can tell you who the top basketball or football players are. A lot of fans wish they were the stars, out there on the stage, the court, and the drag strip. Either you're "numero uno" in center stage or you're nothing. End of story.

What I never understood when I was in high school was why my peers and friends would act naïve or ignorant in a "Wayne's World" or "Beavis and Butthead" kind of way. What I've learned since then is that the numerous programs that are pimping themselves of as 'entertainment' are actually demo graphed to the lowest common denominator. This is especially true with disc jockeys in Radio today. The reason our airwaves are saturated with jokes and content centered on fart jokes, private parts, borderline racism, and general trash talk is because it is selling. In the meantime, large numbers of our children, young adults, and older audiences are mimicking what they see and hear because the current 'norm' is selling this behavior as cool or 'chic.' When the conditioned is so intense that these forms of content are considered the norm, anything else seems either bizarre or uninteresting to the average American's attention span that is decreasing by the day. Hypothetically, if a producer on a network did get away from a feature story exposing government corruption at the highest levels, chances are the large impact necessary wouldn't be realized because the average viewer's brain has already been conditioned to seek out certain types of disinfotainment.

The media has created the picture perfect society that could exist if we only did things their way, (their interests/government interest). It tells us what happiness is and what it is not and same for love, hate or anything else they can implant into our sub consciousness. We can become the perfect slave to the system through indoctrination given through network TV. Over time the messages are becoming increasingly racist, violent, and dishonest. But the programming began decades ago and few have the eyes to see it for what it has become. We live in a world where the populations give their minds away to the official version of the event, where utopia is right around the corner when big brother is riding shotgun. It's a world where Hollywood can make you believe anything, even that you are free. It's a world in which the prosecutor and the judge sit on the same side of the bench. The most obvious reason that our minds are being controlled on a massive scale psychologically, is become our culture has been conditioned incriminatingly to a TV, a radio, or a paper. We are given the world reality through a screen, some ink, or radio waves. The truth is hiding in plain site. The indoctrination through these mediums warns us that views other than those presented by them are unimportant and too be condemned. This Administration and media monopoly has a carefully crafted dehumanization program to anyone that dissents the official version of events.

Some people are wrong about 5% of the time. Some are wrong most of the time. I wish I was wrong all the time. A lot of people deal with these
intense realities, by asking me rhetorically, "What is the solution, smart guy?" Remember, it's the viewers, the consumers and all the other little votes called dollars that helped this oligarchy system lay its concrete foundation in our backyards. We must recognize the truth about why the system is flawed and enslaving us if we wish to beat it. The most important solution to fighting this type of brainwashing and mind control is to start with ourselves and our own awakening in the smaller things. In this case, it's brainwashing but after awhile we break Outside the Box and begin venturing outside the system and into unknown terrain. Fighting with people and forcing them to understand 'our truth' is not a solution. If our collective free will created this nightmare, than only our collective free will change it. The battle begins in the heart and mind of the beholder, and then extends outward from there, only to those open to the information.

If you choose to travel the road to the truth, then you must be prepared for the obstacles that await you. You may be condemned or criticized by your family, your friends, your lovers, or your co-workers. This is their programming that began at birth that is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. You're going to have to be stronger than that. You must realize that there is a reality that exists outside of this controlled artificial system. Like Indiana Jones in the Last Crusade, he took that 'leap of faith' over the bridgeless canyon in an attempt to get to the other side. Like Neo in the Matrix, he took the red pill from Morpheus in his attempt to cross over to his real self. Once you wake up, it's as if a hypnotist came along and snapped his fingers. You wake up and say to yourself, "Oh my god. I can see it now. Why did it take me so long to wake up?!" For some of you it can be a major shock. Like anything else, take this information and knowledge in stages. If it took a lifetime for them to mold your reality for you, then you know that it may take longer than a day to fully awaken. Remember, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Why do countless American people go along with the War on Iraq? Why do so many people call for a police state control grid? A major component to a full understanding of why this kind of governmental and corporate corruption is to discover the modern science of mind control and social engineering. It's baffling to merely glance at the stacks of documentation that this world government isn't being constructed for the greater good of humanity. Although there are a growing number of people waking up the reality of our growing transparent soft cage, there seems to be just enough citizens who are choosing to remain asleep. Worse yet, there are even those who were at least partially awake at one time but found it necessary to return to the slumber of dreamland.

This is no accident; this is a carefully crafted design. The drive to dumb down the populations of planet earth is a classic art that existed before the United States did. One component to understanding and deciphering the systems of control is to become a student of the magicians of influence and propaganda. In order to defeat our enemies (or dictators), its imperative that we understand how they think and what they believe in.

When people think about mind control, they usually think in terms of the classic "conspiracy theory" that refers to Project MkUltra. This program is a proven example of 'overt mind control.' The project had grown out of an earlier secret program, known as Bluebird that was officially formed to counter Soviet advances in brainwashing. In reality the CIA had other objectives. An earlier aim was to study methods 'through which control of an individual may be attained'. The emphasis of experimentation was 'narco-hypnosis', the blending of mind altering drugs with carefully hypnotic programming.

A crack CIA team was formed that could travel, at a moments notice, to anywhere in the world. Their task was to test the new interrogation techniques, and ensure that victims would not remember being interrogated and programmed. All manner of narcotics, from marijuana to LSD, heroin and sodium pentathol (the so called 'truth drug') were regularly used.

Despite poor initial results, CIA-sponsored mind control program flourished. On 13 April 1953, the super-secret project MK-ULTRA was born. Its scope was broader than ever before, and only those in the top echelon of the CIA were privy to it. Official CIA documents describe MK-ULTRA as an 'umbrella project' with 149 'sub-projects'. Many of these sub-projects dealt with testing illegal drugs for potential field use. Others dealt with electronics. One explored the possibility of activating 'the human organism by remote control'. Throughout, it remained a major goal to brainwash individuals to become couriers and spies without their knowledge.

When it was formed in 1947, the CIA was forbidden to have any domestic police or internal security powers. In short, it was authorized only to operate 'overseas'. From the very start MK-ULTRA staff broke this Congressional stipulation and began testing on unwitting American citizens.

Precisely how extensive illegal testing became will never be known. Richard Helms, CIA Director and chief architect of the program, ordered the destruction of all MK-ULTRA records shortly before leaving office in 1973. Despite these precautions some documents were misfiled and came to light in the late 1970's. They laid bare the spy agency's cynicism. Despite the widespread knowledge of MK Ultra and the civil lawsuits that followed, this form of behavior modification is not the most expansive. The real dangers are the types of thought control that are 'covert' and not the subject of several dozen Hollywood movies like "Clockwork Orange" and Mel Gibson's "Conspiracy Theory."

Our founding fathers faced enormous challenges in the formation of this country and its bill of rights. One challenge was laying down the groundwork or a free society without knowing what kind of technological advances would be made. Who would have guessed in those times that we needed an article in the bill of rights that specifically prohibits the government and it's associates from engaged in mind control or thought control. The closest item that promises our protection from the government is the 4th Article in The Bill of Rights which states, "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." Like many are now beginning to note, the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights are merely given lip service by our supposedly elected officials.

One of the most common examples of mind control in our so-called free and civilized society is the advent and usage of the television set. This isn't to say that all things on TV are geared towards brainwashing you. They're not. But most of the programming on television today is run and programming by the largest media corporations that have interests in defense contracts, such as Westinghouse (CBS), and General Electric (NBC). This makes perfect sense when you see how slanted and warped the news is today. Examining the conflicts of interest is merely glancing at the issue, although to understand the multiple ways that lies become truth, we need to examine the techniques of brain washing that the networks are employing.

Radio isn't any different in its ability to brainwash a population into submission. Sixty-seven years ago, six million Americans became unwitting subjects in an experiment in psychological warfare. It was the night before Halloween, 1938. At 8 p.m. CST, the Mercury Radio on the Air began broadcasting Orson Welles' radio adaptation of H. G. Wells' War of the Worlds. As is now well known, the story was presented as if it were breaking news, with bulletins so realistic that an estimated one million people believed the world was actually under attack by Martians. Of that number, thousands succumbed to outright panic, not waiting to hear Welles' explanation at the end of the program that it had all been a Halloween prank, but fleeing into the night to escape the alien invaders.

According to researcher Mack White ( http://www.mackwhite.com/), "Psychologist Hadley Cantril conducted a study of the effects of the broadcast and published his findings in a book, The Invasion from Mars: A Study in the Psychology of Panic. This study explored the power of broadcast media, particularly as it relates to the suggestibility of human beings under the influence of fear. Cantril was affiliated with Princeton University's Radio Research Project, which was funded in 1937 by the Rockefeller Foundation. Also affiliated with the Project was Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member and Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) executive Frank Stanton, whose network had broadcast the program. Stanton would later go on to head the news division of CBS, and in time would become president of the network, as well as chairman of the board of the RAND Corporation, the influential think tank which has done groundbreaking research on, among other things, mass brainwashing. Two years later, with Rockefeller Foundation money, Cantril established the Office of Public Opinion Research (OPOR), also at Princeton. Among the studies conducted by the OPOR was an analysis of the effectiveness of "psycho-political operations" (propaganda, in plain English) of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the forerunner of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Then, during World War II, Cantril and Rockefeller money assisted CFR member and CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow in setting up the Princeton Listening Center, the purpose of which was to study Nazi radio propaganda with the object of applying Nazi techniques to OSS propaganda. Out of this project came a new government agency, the Foreign Broadcast Intelligence Service (FBIS). The FBIS eventually became the United States Information Agency (USIA), which is the propaganda arm of the National Security Council. Thus, by the end of the 1940s, the basic research had been done and the propaganda apparatus of the national security state had been set up--just in time for the Dawn of Television."

Experiments conducted by researcher Herbert Krugman reveal that when a person watches television, brain activity switches from the left to the right hemisphere. The left hemisphere is the seat of logical thought. Here, information is broken down into its component parts and critically analyzed. The right brain, however, treats incoming data uncritically, processing information in wholes, leading to emotional, rather than logical responses. The shift from left to right brain activity also causes the release of endorphins, the body's own natural opiates--thus, it is possible to become physically addicted to watching television, a hypothesis borne out by numerous studies which have shown that very few people are able to kick the television habit. It's no longer an overstatement to note that the youth today that are raised and taught through network television are intellectually dead by their early teens.

The dumbing down of humanity is represented by another shift which occurs in the brain when we watch television. Activity in the higher brain regions (such as the neo-cortex) is diminished, while activity in the lower brain regions (such as the limbic system) increases. The latter, commonly referred to as the reptile brain, is associated with more primitive mental functions, such as the "fight or flight" response. The reptile brain is unable to distinguish between reality and the simulated reality of television. To the reptile brain, if it looks real, it is real. Thus, though we know on a conscious level it is "only a film," on a conscious level we do not--the heart beats faster, for instance, while we watch a suspenseful scene. Similarly, we know the commercial is trying to manipulate us, but on an unconscious level the commercial nonetheless succeeds in, say, making us feel inadequate until we buy whatever thing is being advertised--and the effect is all the more powerful because it is unconscious, operating on the deepest level of human response. The reptile brain makes it possible for us to survive as biological beings, but it also leaves us vulnerable to the manipulations of television programmers. This is where the manipulators use our own emotions as strings to control us. The distortions and directions we are being moved to are taking place in the subconscious, often undetected.

Propaganda techniques were first codified and applied in a scientific manner by journalist Walter Lippman and psychologist Edward Bernays (nephew of Sigmund Freud) early in the 20th century. During World War I, Lippman and Bernays were hired by then United States President, Woodrow Wilson, to participate in the Creel Commission, the mission of which was to sway popular opinion in favor of entering the war, on the side of Britain. Edward Bernays said in his 1928 book Propaganda that, "The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country."

The Creel Commission provided themes for speeches by "four-minute men" at public functions, and also encouraged censorship of the American press. The Commission was so unpopular that after the war, Congress closed it down without providing funding to organize and archive its papers. The war propaganda campaign of Lippman and Bernays produced within six months such an intense anti-German hysteria as to permanently impress American business (and Adolf Hitler, among others) with the potential of large-scale propaganda to control public opinion. Bernays coined the terms "group mind" and "engineering consent", important concepts in practical propaganda work. The current public relations industry is a direct outgrowth of Lippman's and Bernays' work and is still used extensively by the United States government. For the first half of the 20th century Betrays and Lip man ran a very successful public relations firm. World War II saw continued use of propaganda as a weapon of war, both by Hitler's propagandist Joseph Gobbles and the British Political Warfare Executive, as well as the United States Office of War Information.

Turn on your local newscast. You have a few minutes of blue-collar crime, hardly any white collar crime, a few minutes of sports, misc. chit chat, random political jibber-jabber, and a look at the weather that no one is forecasting correctly. Is that what happened in your town? And we're supposed to own the airwaves! The mainstream media openly supports the interests of the prison industrial complex. The stories focus on minority criminal groups, and exploit the real threat to appear much more dangerous than they are. Think about the growing per capita number of prisoners in the country. Then remember that this is happening at the same time that our prison boom began. The police on our streets have created criminals. The focus is to keep us in a state of fear, that way the elitists can attack any group they want to without fear of consequence. This is why the media is continuing to craft the timeless art of dehumanization.

More than half of every dollar that Americans earn goes to support government programs.
Internet PhotoUnlike some of my fundamentalist Christian friends, I don’t think Obama is the Antichrist. But I have theorized that Obama is a puppet President and someone else is pulling the strings that are leading to the end of our way of life as we know it. A sinister plot is being implemented to destroy our economy and put us under the thumb of a tyrannical economic and political system.

I have spent some time looking into eschatology, which is the study of end-times prophecy. Although the books of Revelation and much of Daniel are allegorical, anyone who reads them can’t help but be a little disconcerted by the images they contain. Several passages in both books point toward the future formation of a new world government and economic system. In order for that to happen, America’s capitalistic system must be dismantled and the U.S. Constitution abandoned. I believe that is happening right now.

Alan Caruba is the writer of Warning Signs, one of my favorite web sites which I read daily. A prolific writer, his insights often provide inspiration for the op-eds that appear on my pages. Mr. Caruba takes a scientific approach and draws on his many years as a reporter to dig up information that many of us are unable to find. One of Mr. Caruba’s recent blogs reinforces my thinking that a plot is afoot to fundamentally change America and destroy our freedoms. He generously gave me permission to reprint the column in its entirety:

A Man-Made Financial Disaster by Alan Caruba

You will recall that, shortly before the end of the 2008 political campaign, the White House announced a threat to the entire financial system and called on Congress to enact emergency spending powers. The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 was enacted on October 3, 2008.

Just eighteen days earlier an event occurred that slid under the radar screen of virtually the entire mainstream media. On Thursday, September 15, 2008, at approximately 11 A.M., the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw down of money market accounts in the nation, amounting to $550 billion dollars. It occurred within an hour or two. The money was removed electronically.

It has never been made public which accounts were affected, nor where the withdrawn funds were sent. If we knew those facts, we would know who launched an attack on the United States that has been more devastating than any in our history.

Had the Federal Reserve not closed down the accounts involved it is estimated that by 2 P.M. $5.5 trillion would have been withdrawn and the entire economy of the nation would have collapsed. It would have been followed within a day with the collapse of the world’s economy.

What followed was the sub-prime mortgage loan debacle that can be traced to the government’s intervention into the housing loan marketplace via Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They ended up owning fifty percent of all the loans.

Americans were using home ownership as a credit card and government policies were mandating the issuance of bad loans in the name of “social justice.” Home ownership became “a right”, not an aspiration.

Throughout the 1990s, as communities revalued homes, increasing their alleged worth in order to impose higher property taxes, it was only a matter of time before a financial collapse became a reality. Virtually every State was spending beyond its means and increasing property taxes was the preferred choice to make up the difference.

That collapse, however, was initiated by unknown persons at precisely the time Americans were preparing to select a new president. That was not a coincidence.

In the October edition of “Budget & Tax News”, a publication of The Heartland Institute, a non-profit, free market think tank, there was an article by Sandra Fabry, the government affairs manager for Americans for Tax Reform and executive director of the Center for Fiscal accountability, a project of the organization.

The article was titled “61% of National Income Goes to Government.”

“Americans this year had to toil until August 12 to pay for federal, state, and local governments, according to the annual Cost of Government Day report by the Americans for Tax Reform Foundation and Center for Fiscal Accountability.”

“In 2009, the government will consume a whopping 61.34 percent of national income.”

The redistribution of income has reached a point in which 30.36 percent of the money Americans earn is consumed by federal spending. State governments take their percentage as well in income, sales, and other forms of taxation.

It means that Americans worked for 111 days of the year just to pay for the costs of the federal government and federal spending has reached a record 28.5 percent of GDP.

With the passage by the House of the government’s attempted takeover of the nation’s healthcare system and the up-coming cap-and-trade bill, a massive tax on energy use, there is no telling how many more government spending programs, huge redistribution schemes, Americans will be obliged to pay for.

The Obama administration swiftly embarked on an unprecedented spending spree, “bailing out” General Motors and Chrysler, in effect owning AIG, the insurance giant, and giving funds to various banks to “stimulate” loans, i.e. credit, that Americans and their business enterprises depend upon to function.

Peter Schiff, CEO of Euro-Pacific Capital, has long argued that the problems of the American economy were created by excess credit and debt, and that a massive infusion of credit and debt into the economy only exacerbates the problem. He is right.

The “stimulus” has not worked and the billions still unspent by the program should be returned to the American treasury. Taxes should be cut in order to allow Americans to save or spend their own money. Contracts with civil service and teacher’s union should be renegotiated. A vast regulatory revision to remove obstacles to economic growth should be implemented.

Meanwhile the government’s “official” figures say 10.2 million Americans are out of work, but the actual figure is estimated to be closer to 17 million or more. Nothing is being done to facilitate hiring with tax credits and reduced taxation of small businesses, nor are the highest corporate taxes in the world being reduced to encourage domestic investment and growth.

And our present difficulties began on September 15, 2008 in a calculated attack that got Barack Obama elected and was immediately followed by all the subsequent efforts to grow the federal government ever larger to make more Americans dependent upon it. The Obama administration has increased the national debt more than all previous presidencies combined.

There is a determined effort under way to undermine the free market capitalist system that made America the greatest economic and military power in the world. Both the White House and the Democrat-controlled Congress are parties to it, but the identities of those who launched that September attack remain hidden.

Republican candidates maintain a six-point advantage over Democrats in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 44% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 38% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent.

Support for each party rose one point from last week. Republicans have held the lead for over four months now.

Voters not affiliated with either party continue to heavily favor Republicans, 41% to 24%.

Since late June, support for Republican candidates has ranged from 41% to 44%, while support for Democrats has run from 36% to 40%. Looking back one year ago, the two parties were in a much different place. Throughout the fall of 2008, support for Democratic congressional candidates ranged from 42% to 47%. Republican support ranged from 37% to 41%.

But in October, for the third straight month, the number of Americans identifying themselves as Democrats inched up while the number of Republicans fell slightly.

While other polling firms appear to show different results on the generic ballot, Real Clear Politics explains the differences in survey samples and question ordering, stating “if you are asking which pollsters have it right, I'd probably put my money on Gallup-Rasmussen.”

Forty-seven percent (47%) of voters now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. With the exception of bounces following nationally televised presidential appeals, that’s the highest level of support measured for the legislative effort all year. Still, the majority of voters continues to believe the plan will be put into law this year.

Recent polling in Minnesota shows that voters give Senator Amy Klobuchar higher marks for job performance than her fellow senator Al Franken and Michele Bachmann, the congresswoman who has become a conservative lightning rod in the national health care debate.

In Texas, 57% of voters say Kay Bailey Hutchison should remain in the Senate while attempting to run for governor. New data shows that Governor Rick Perry has opened an 11-point lead over Hutchison in the Republican primary after the candidates were nearly tied two months ago.

Though Congess is working on an historic climate change bill aimed at reducing global warming, nearly half the nation’s voters still believe that global warming is caused primarily by long term planetary trends, not human activity.

A Rasmussen video report shows that 50% of adults believe that if Congress requires credit card companies to reduce the interest they charge, it will be harder for some people to get approved for new credit cards.

After being knocked out of first place last month for the first time in nearly two years, the economy is back as the issue voters view as most important.

Climate change legislation is an economy killer. An August study by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and the American Council for Capital Formation (ACCF) measured the impact of The Waxman-Markey Bill (HR 2454) or Cap and Tax. As a reminder the bill passed the House of Representatives by a slim margin (219-212) early this summer. As with most of the democratic party legislation passed this year, Waxman-Markey was passed without being read by most of its proponents.

The Study show that Cap and Tax will be a disaster for the American Economy:

• Cumulative Loss in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) up to $3.1 trillion (2012-2030) * Employment losses up to 2.4 million jobs in 2030 * Residential electricity price increases up to 50 percent by 2030 * Gasoline price increases (per gallon) up 26 percent by 2030

The World Bank forecasts this region in 2010 will see an average of 7.3% growth, with China on top at 9%. House Democratic leaders are considering imposing a new tax on stock transactions to fund a jobs bill, leadership sources tell The Hill.

Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.) has been making the case for such a Wall Street tax, and House leaders have started paying attention as they look for a way to pay for the jobs bill, leadership sources said.



The idea is attractive because it’s very small, likely 0.25 percent of each trade. And since Wall Street is perceived by many as having caused the economic slump, brokers have little political standing to try to stop it.


It also has the support of the nation’s largest labor union.


The AFL-CIO, one of the Democratic Party’s most powerful allies, suggested the idea in August.


The group’s policy director, Thea Lee, estimated the tax could raise between $50 billion and $100 billion per year.


Small- and medium-sized investors would hardly notice a transaction tax, but major trading firms may see it as a significant threat to their profits.


Leading financial lobbyists say the tax would harm the economy.


“It would impact all Americans, from retirees to [the] self-employed to parents saving for their kids’ education. It would place permanent handcuffs on the economy,” said Scott Talbott, senior vice president at the Financial Services Roundtable, which represents 100 large financial companies.


“It would clip the wings of the economy just as it is starting to recover,” he added.


Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.), a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, said that in addition to the transaction tax, there is talk of using money from the $700 billion Wall Street bailout and other sources. But leaders aren’t looking at an increase in the gas tax.


“There’s very little talk about user fees,” DeFazio said.


Leaders said they are trying to pass a jobs bill before leaving for Christmas, at least in the House.


And the legislation could include a renewed emphasis on highway construction.


Committee Chairman Jim Oberstar (D-Minn.) said that transportation will be a “centerpiece” of the jobs legislation. DeFazio said that though only 4 percent of the stimulus package earlier this year went to transportation, it created 25 percent of the jobs.



“We’re a proven job-generator,” DeFazio said. “The big problem has been the White House, and if the White House is getting on board, I don’t think there will be a problem.”


Republicans said that if Democrats want to create jobs, they should look at ideas that GOP lawmakers have been pressing for months.


“Republicans have been working for months now trying to forge solutions as to how to get Americans back to work,” said House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.).


Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has asked key committee chairmen for ideas on job creation, said House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.).


There has been debate over whether to do one large, catch-all bill or several topic-specific bills. Hoyer said he expected the work of several committees to be wrapped into one bill.


Hoyer declined to give a dollar figure for what Democrats are planning, but he said he expects Democrats will, at a minimum, extend unemployment benefits and COBRA health insurance assistance for the unemployed.


Other options include aid to states to preserve public-sector jobs and tax breaks for creating jobs. Democrats have consulted extensively with a group of economists, but Hoyer said there have been “differences of opinion” on what tactics are most effective.


The action comes after a report from the Labor Department that showed unemployment hitting 10.2 percent in October. The jobless rate is expected to continue to rise in coming months.


The 26-year high in the unemployment rate has spiked concerns among Democrats at the White House and in both chambers of Congress, particularly with midterm elections less than a year away.


Hoyer rejected the characterization of the House effort as a “second stimulus,” saying it will be more narrowly targeted than the $787 billion stimulus.


The massive stimulus bill also has become a target for conservatives angry at the surge in federal spending. The jobs bill could raise those arguments again from Republicans who oppose public spending and conservative “Blue Dog” Democrats who want to see the spending offset by cuts in programs or by tax hikes



“When you have a sick economy, you have to do something to fix it,” said Blue Dog Rep. Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.). “But there are real and legitimate concerns about the deficit.”


But Hoyer indicated that the spending might not be offset, because increasing taxes would counteract the effort to boost the economy.


“The challenge we have is to stimulate the economy and not depress it at the same time,” Hoyer said.


The Senate is also expected to work on a jobs initiative, though it is unclear when the Senate might take up legislation. That chamber is expected to be busy with healthcare reform for the rest of 2009.


Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told Democrats at their weekly policy lunch last week that he plans to bring up a jobs measure, but did not say when he would do so.


The administration announced last week that it would hold a jobs summit, specifying on Monday evening that the summit will take place on Dec. 3.


Obama will follow that event with a trip to Allentown, Pa., for a forum on jobs, part of a “Main Street tour” announced by the White House, in which Obama will travel to a number of cities and towns over the next few months.

Just 12 months after voting by a 53-47 margin to put Barack Obama in the White House, only 43 percent of voters today would re-elect him, according to a new Zogby Internaional/O'Leary Report Poll.

"Most voters don't trust the president on the number one issue of the day: job creation. On top of that, a surprising plurality of voters, and Independent voters in particular, don't side with President Obama on the number one issue to him: whether or not he should be president," said Brad O'Leary, a former NBC Westwood One talk show host and publisher of the O'Leary Report.

He's also written "Shut Up America: The End of Free Speech."

The pollsters on Nov. 10-12 surveyed 2,879 Americans who had voted in the 2008 presidential election. The results have a margin of error of plus-or-minus 1.9 percent.

The poll asked: If the presidential election were held next month, would you vote to re-elect President Obama or would it be time for someone new in the White House?

The poll showed only 43 percent of Americans who voted in the 2008 presidential election say they would vote to re-elect Obama – a reduction by 10 percent in the votes Obama received on election day last year.

Forty-five percent say they want someone new to be president. Eleven percent say that their vote for or against Obama would depend on who is running against him, and 1 percent are not sure.

Significantly, the poll revealed that only 37 percent of independent voters would vote to re-elect Obama. Forty-six percent say they would like to see someone new. Seventeen percent said they would want to know the opposition first.

Additionally, the poll asked: Please tell me how much you trust the Obama administration to pass federal legislation to create jobs in 2010?

Not "at all," was the response from 42 percent of the voters. Another 11 percent said they do not trust Obama "much." Only about 1 voter in four said they trusted the president "very much," and 18 percent admitted they trusted him "somewhat."

"President Obama's popularity with the voting public has been eroding for some time, but these numbers really drive home the point," O'Leary said.

WND reported only weeks ago a majority of Americans also are alarmed over attempts by the White House to stifle dissent or suppress free speech.

I was in line today to get my H1N1 today at Rio Linda HS. After being in line for 4 hours, the couple in front of us called their friends to join them, they intern called their ghetto friends, within 10 minutes there were 9 in total all yuking it up about how long the line was.. How the folks (where THEY should have been standing) weren't going to get shots haha.. We who had been in line all that time were furious and when the line started to move we moved closer to the original folks who had waited as long as we had to inch the party of 9 aside. These pieces of shit were telling their kids that they were going to get shots up their noses and that freaked the kids out and one started to cry - the "mother" snapped "shut up an just listen, if you wouldn't cry you could hear" I was appaulled! when the volunteer came around to ask age, ask about forms she said she was 23 - well her oldest kid looked to be 10 (so that means she would have had her at age 13) she had 3 in all and 1 infant at home and looked pregnant again!!! She kept leaving her kids to go smoke.. A real gem!!

When we got to the volunteer to get our number (only 2000 doses available) this piece of shit tried to push in front of my daughter and my daughter told her to step back, that they just got there in the last hour and we had waited over 5 hours (at that point) The volunteer looked at that woman and that woman lied and said YOU'RE A LIAR WE'VE BEEN HERE FOR HOURS - YOU CUT IN FRONT OF US my daughter said Ask anyone behind me when these people came they will tell you then the bitch screamed at the volunteer BUT I'V GOT CHILDREN AND THEY NEED THE SHOT AND ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE LYING.. When we got into the stagging area my daughter said to the couple that all started this "I am sorry to say this but your friends are crap" They responded that those folks are NOT their friends..

Obama and his administration have been caught in another huge lie and, this time, it's a doozey! Remarkably, one of Obama's own state-run media ABC News broke the story. For months now, Obama and his various administration mouthpieces have been extolling the virtues of the dictator-in-chief's "creation" of millions of new jobs! With millions of verifiable jobs having been lost since Obama usurped the position of POTUS and hundreds of thousands more still being lost each and every month, anyone who still maintains the ability to think knows this was a lie. And now another immense ObamaLie has been exposed.

ABC News followed up on the Obama Administration's claims (on its recovery.gov website) — which included amounts spent, jobs "created or saved" and the Congressional districts which 'dear leader' had 'positively impacted.' One of the immediate problems is that the Congressional districts which had ostensibly received the ObamaMoney (where the ObamaJobs had been created) did not and do not exist! For example, just a few of these reported by ABC include:


"In Oklahoma, recovery.gov lists more than $19 million in spending — and 15 jobs created — in yet more congressional districts that don't exist.


"In Iowa, it shows $10.6 million spent — and 39 jobs created — in nonexistent districts


"In Connecticut's 42nd district (which also does not exist), the Web site claims 25 jobs created with zero stimulus dollars"


The ObamaSite lists other states in which Obama has listed other bogus districts and other bogus jobs he claims to have "saved or created"


And in US territories from Puerto Rico through the US Virgin Island to the Northern Mariana Islands, Obama claims to have given over $100 Millions and created many jobs. The problem is that all of these claims are bogus. They are outright lies and this is abject theft by government officials of OUR money. And what does Obama and Co do when confronted with the truth? They simply make up more lies to cover their other lies


Where have the $787 Billions in "stimulus" monies gone? We may want to check Obama's and his friends' multiple bank accounts. These are no more than very powerful crooks, folks. This is betrayal of the American people and America, itself.

Obama has also told his ObamaRun EPA to threaten those who oppose his Cap and Tax bill with "disciplinary actions" if they tell the public the truth as they know it. EPA attorneys Laurie Williams and Allan Zabel were threatened with such disciplinary actions if they did not either change a video opposing Obama's Cap and Tax or remove it altogether. Note: Where Obama rules, there is no longer free speech. This is betrayal of American citizens and the First Amendment of the US Constitution's Bill of Rights.

Obama has ordered the mastermind of 9/11 and about a dozen of his cohorts to be tried in New York City; where the 9/11 massacre occurred. These beasts are to be given full US Constitutional rights — I suspect even more rights than those of US Citizens — and the US government will, ultimately and by ObamaDesign, be placed on trial; not the terrorists. And now, to rub more salt and gasoline into a festering and painful wound, the Muslim Obama is telling Congress not to investigate the terrorist massacre committed by Muslim Nidal Malik Mohammed against soldiers at Fort Hood. Note: Obama still refuses to call this a terrorist act. By his refusal to protect the USA and its people from its enemies, Obama has abrogated his contract as POTUS and is, for all intents and purposes, siding with said enemies. He has become this country's greatest enemy to date. This is betrayal — of and in the highest order — of the USA and its people.

Obama has repeatedly stated that with or without the American people's agreement he WILL pass ObamaCare so that his government's control of them and their assets (that's We-the-People and our assets) will be under the dictator's control and belong to him. He has also vowed to give ALL illegals in the country amnesty in 2010, so that his illegal-soon-to-be-legal-if-Obama-has-his-way voter base can replace the legal one that is now opposed to both him and his policies. He does not intend to ever give up his position. That is, until he's named ruler of the world. This is so far beyond betrayal that there may not currently be a term for it.

Yesterday, the Obama gang released a report "proving" that money can be saved on the "wasteful" use of mammography on women under 50, and that for those over 50, the exam should be given only every two years.

Today we learn that Obama is also going after men. According to Fox, Obama has decided that yearly PSA tests need not be given, as it wastes money, as does all the prostate surgery given to men with bad PSAs or other cancer red flags.

ObamaCare hasn't even passed but it's already going down. And for all my fellow seniors who voted for "Hope and Change," live with it -- for as long as you can.

At age 33, he seduced and had sex with a 16-year-old boy, and admitted to being attracted to young, boyish-looking men (many with substance abuse problems, who were easy victims) his entire life. He lied about his military background in order to gain sympathy and votes for public office, and espoused the idea that multiple sexual partners at one time was right and healthy.

Does this sound like the kind of man you would want your child to look up to and celebrate in school? If you live in California and utilize the public school system, soon you may not have a choice.

SB 572 only awaits the governor’s signature to become law, and make May 22 “Harvey Milk Day” in California schools, celebrating the man whom I described in my opening paragraph. In the legislative text, it reads: “It is the intent of the Legislature that the exercises encouraged in this section be integrated into the regular school program, and be conducted by the school or institution within the amount otherwise budgeted for educational programs.”

Nowhere in the legislation does it spell out the limitations of this bill, or give any rights to parents who may be uncomfortable with such a blatantly anti-family message.

This is a heated issue, and I know I’m asking for it by saying that such a state holiday is inappropriate. Here on EverydayChristian, a great many discussions have started both for and against gay rights, and I think it’s an important conversation that we need to have. The caveat is that we need to do so as discerning adults. Simply indoctrinating children without giving them a chance to think critically about these issues, is detrimental to our families and our faith.

Also, Harvey Milk was far from the loving, monogamous gay man that so many hold up as an icon for LBGT rights, as shown in his biography, The Mayor of Castro Street: "...sixteen-year-old McKinley was looking for some kind of father figure...At 33, Milk was launching a new life, though he could hardly have imagined the unlikely direction toward which his new lover would pull him." (pages 30-31) "It would be to boyish-looking men in their late teens and early 20's that Milk would be attracted for the rest of his life." (page 24) "Harvey always had a penchant for young waifs with substance abuse problems." (page 180) "Harvey confided one night that at twenty-four, Doug was the oldest man Harvey had ever started an affair with." (page 237)

A concerned citizen recently wrote into the Santa Clarita Valley News, stating his opposition to this legislation. The newspaper posted this reply: “Editor's note: SB 572's language on this topic actually reads: ‘All public schools and educational institutions are encouraged to observe those days and to conduct suitable commemorative exercises as follows... On Harvey Milk Day, exercises remembering the life of Harvey Milk, recognizing his accomplishments, and familiarizing pupils with the contributions he made to this state.’ The bill does not require anyone to discuss or promote homosexuality, bisexuality or trans-sexuality.”

This argument is intellectually dishonest and frankly, a bit insulting to the opposing view’s intelligence. Not only is it impossible to celebrate the first openly gay man elected to public office without mentioning his sexuality, but insisting that it’s not required is rather like assuming that we can discuss Brett Favre without ever mentioning football, or hoping to talk about FDR without bothering to bring up a little time called World War II.

I would encourage you to make a stand for our children’s education, and for the traditional values of family and committed marriages. You don't have to love them all the same...” ...does not deserve to be widely celebrated in schools, nor held up as a hero to our kids.

CommentsThey were ubiquitous, they were tech-savvy, they were vocal -- nearly a year after the election, where are the young Obama supporters?

Where are the voters under 30 who preferred Obama over McCain by a staggering 66-32 percent margin, the biggest of any age group? Where is the mainstream media -- the same MSM that declared 2008 as "The Year of the Youth Vote" -- in covering how young people are impacted by the health care debate, which has dominated the news for months? (Studies show that a quarter of Americans ages 25 to 34 don't have health insurance, while about a third of Americans ages 21 to 24 live without it -- more than any other age group. This is partly because young people think they're invincible -- "Me? Get sick? No way!" -- but it's also partly because they're either out of work or their employers don't offer insurance.) Where is the Team Obama that adeptly leveraged the enthusiasm of its digitally-plugged young troops, who scheduled rallies on Facebook, passed YouTube videos around their network and sent text messages reminding their friends to vote? Speaking last month at George Washington University, just a few blocks from the White House, Obama's campaign manager David Plouffe told the college crowd: "Your generation won the election ... Obama simply wouldn't have been the nominee without you."

Tobin Van Ostern, a recent George Washington graduate, e-mailed me Plouffe's comment last week.


I first met Van Ostern in February 2007, at a packed, boisterous rally at George Mason University, in Northern Virginia. The event was organized by Students for Barack Obama, which began as a Facebook group in July 2006. The administrators of the Facebook group explained their support for Obama in specific terms -- the first piece of legislation introduced by the then-freshman senator from Illinois, they schooled me, was a bill that increases the maximum Pell Grant by 25 percent, to $5,100, for low-income students. (The late Sen. Ted Kennedy was a co-sponsor in the bill.) Van Ostern and I talked regularly throughout the campaign. He was one of the first people I bumped into in Des Moines, days before Christmas in the crucial days leading up to the Iowa caucuses. I spent hours canvassing with him on the day of the New Hampshire primary for an article in the Washington Post. The Facebook group he helped coordinate proved so effective, so quickly that it became an official part of the Obama for America campaign, with about 1,000 chapters spread out in every state. By Election Day Van Ostern served as the group's national director.

And now?

"Sure, young people are still getting involved -- inside and outside college campuses, either through the DNC [the Democratic National Committee] or OFA [Organizing for America, formerly Obama for America] or other youth groups," Van Ostern, 21, told me in a recent interview. He currently works for Campus Progress, the youth arm of the Center for American Progress. "But, as far as I can tell, engaging young people hasn't been a top priority for the OFA, DNC and the White House."

To be fair, OFA has had its successes. This week OFA announced that more than 300,000 calls have been placed to Congress members, urging them to support Obama's health care reform. OFA, which has heavily relied on its e-mails to Obama's campaign supporters, said many of those calls were generated not through e-mails but through social networks -- by supporters on Obama's Facebook fan page and Twitter followers, for example. OFA is housed under the DNC, and DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan sent HuffPost a detailed list outlining the various student led activities by young OFA volunteers in several states. In an interview, 23-year-old Steve Jackson in Indianapolis said that other volunteers like him have been busy working the phones, knocking on doors and getting the word out. "It's no longer the campaign," Jackson said, "but many of us are still on campaign mode."

But Team Obama, however, is now in governing mode. And the grassroots, tech-powered movement anchored by young voters -- 13 million e-mail addresses collected, more than half a billion dollars raised online -- has taken a backseat to the back-room, inside-the-Beltway realities of Washington, according to interviews with former campaign staffers, political analysts and Democratic strategists.

The sentiment is echoed in a blog on the popular site Tech Crunch that's gone viral in the past few days. "On the night of your acceptance speech, just before you walked on stage, 'you' sent out an email saying 'I will be in touch soon' -- but you disappeared and all we were left with was the strange feeling you get when your older brother ditches you for his cooler friends," began the post, which blogger Edo Segal wrote as an open letter to Obama. Frustrated and disappointed, Segal wrote that OFA needs to stop asking for money ("I pay a big bill every April that should just about cover it") and that the president should govern the way he campaigned -- engaging people online then getting them offline to achieve policy goals.

"It's almost like Obama the candidate campaigned in a new way and then Obama the president is governing the old way," said Democratic strategist Joe Trippi, who orchestrated Howard Dean's Internet-fueled campaign in 2004. "That's of course a generalization, and it may be an unfair generalization -- WhiteHouse.gov and the federal government in general are doing some exciting things to promote online transparency, after all -- but that's the perception that people online have."

Added Kate Albright-Hanna, a former campaign staffer who led Obama's online video strategy: "During the campaign, new media and old media were on par with each other. Now, in the White House, new media is under old media."

Indeed, Joe Rospars, the Obama campaign's director of new media, reported directly to Plouffe, the campaign manager. That was the kind of high-level access that was the envy of new media departments in other campaigns. In contrast, Macon Phillips, the White House's new media director, reports to the communications department, headed by Anita Dunn, and not to Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff.

And while much attention is given to the Obama's (old) media strategy -- the White House's fight against FOX News, for example -- not enough attention is given to foster the online movement that Obama built during the campaign. Chris Hughes, the Facebook co-founder who ran the Obama campaign's own social networking site, said that the resources that the campaign had compared to what OFA has now "is like night and day." Hughes said in an interview: "It's clear that more resources are needed to target every demographic group, not just senior citizens but also young voters." Heather Smith, head of Rock the Vote, which registered more than 2 million young voters last year, said although the White House has been good at reaching out to youth organizations, "that doesn't mean they've been doing a lot to elevate the voices of young people -- not yet, at least."

Voters under 30 continue to overwhelmingly support the president, polls show. No surprise, then, that polls also show them backing Obama's health care reform, including the public option plan.

"There's been a missed opportunity here in showcasing the kind of youthful, optimistic, hopeful energy that greatly Obama benefited from during the campaign," said Morley Winograd, a fellow at the Democratic think-tank NDN and co-author of the seminal book "Millennial Makeover," an analysis of how the wired and online networked Millennial Generation is impacting politics. "But of course it does not at all mean that the opportunity has gone away."

Al Sharpton: Sharpton, a perrenial Democrat candidate and one of the rumored candidates for the
Democrat's 2004 presidential nomination, has a notorious racist past. Sharpton was a central
figure who fanned the 1991 Crown Heights race riot, where a mob shouting anti-semetic slurs
murdered an innocent Jewish man. Sharpton also incited a 1995 protest of a Jewish owned store in

Harlem where protesters used several anti-semetic slurs. During the protests, a Sharpton
lieutenant called the store's owner a "bloodsucker" and declared an intent to "loot the Jews."
A member of the protest mob later set fire to the store, resulting in the death of seven
(source).

Representative Dick Gephardt, D-MO: Gephardt, the former Democrat Minority Leader in the U.S.
House of Representatives, gave several speeches to a St. Louis area hate group during his early
years as a representative. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Gephardt spoke before the
Metro South Citizens Council, a now defunct white supremacist organization, during his early
years as a congressman. Newsmax.com further reported that Gephardt had openly asked the group
for an endorsement of his candidacy during one of his many visits with the organization.
Gephardt has long avoided questions about his past affiliation with this group.

Andrew Cuomo: Cuomo, Bill Clinton's former Housing Secretary and a prominent Democrat political
player in New York, was tape recorded using racially inflamatory rhetoric to build opposition
to a potential Democrat primary opponent while speaking to a Democrat group. Cuomo stated that
voting for his rival for the New York Democrat gubernatorial nomination Carl McCall, who is
black, would create a "racial contract" between Black and Hispanic Democrats "and that can't
happen." Upon initial reports, Cuomo denied the statement but later a tape recording surfaced.
Cuomo later dropped out of the race for governor (source).

Lee P. Brown: Brown, Bill Clinton's former drug czar and Democrat mayor of Houston, engaged in
racist campaigning designed to suppress Hispanic voter turnout during his 2001 reelection bid.
Brown faced challenger Orlando Sanchez, a Hispanic Republican who drew heavy support from the
Hispanic community during the general election. Two weeks prior to the runoff, Brown's campaign
printed racist signs designed to intimidate Hispanic voters. The signs featured a photograph of
Sanchez and the words "Anti-Hispanic." The signs drew harsh criticism from Hispanic leaders as
their message was designed to intimidate and confuse Hispanic voters. Around the same time the
signs were being used, Brown supporter and city councilman Carol Alvarado made a series of
racially charged attacks on Sanchez, implying a desire to see the supression of Hispanic voter
turnout in the runoff. Brown staffers also went on record claiming that Sanchez was not a true
Hispanic. The racist anti-Hispanic undertones of Brown's reelection bid were so great that
liberal Democrat city councilman John Castillo, himself Hispanic, retracted his endorsement of
Brown in disgust and became a Sanchez supporter in the final week of the campaign. Following
the harsh condemnation of the racist signs and tactics, Brown purported that his campaign was
removing them even though many still lingered around Houston up until the election. When
election day came along, Brown placed more of the racist signs at polling places, despite his
claim to have stopped using them. The large campaign billboard style election day signs featured,
in Spanish, the word "Danger!" on them followed by Sanchez's name with a large red circle and
slash through it. The signs identified the Brown campaign as their owner on the bottom. Brown's
racially charged reelection effort barely squeeked by Sanchez on election day, winning 51% to
49% following a series of racially motivated advertisements in which the Brown campaign appealed
to the fear of black voters by invoking images of the gruesome lynching death of James Byrd,
Jr. and by attempting to pit them against Hispanics. While Brown had the audacity to declare
himself a mayor for all people and all ethnicities at his victory party, many in Houston fear
the racial wounds inflicted by his campaign will take years to heal.

Mary Frances Berry: Berry is the Democrat chair of the US Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR).
She purports herself to be an "independent" in her political affiliation in order to hold her
job on the civil rights commission where partisan membership may not exceed 4 for either party,
but is in fact a dedicated liberal Democrat who openly supported Al Gore for president and has
given a total of $20,000 in personal contributions to the Democrat Party, Al Gore for President,
and other Democrat candidates over the last decade. Berry is an open racist who is affiliated
with the far-left Pacifica radio network, a group with ties to black nationalist causes. Berry
once stated "Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not
apply to them," indicating that she believes the USCCR should only look out for civil rights
violations against persons of certain select skin colors.


Billy McKinney: Former Democrat State Representative Billy McKinney of Georgia, who is also the
father of former Democrat congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of the same state. During his
daughter's failed 2002 reelection bid, McKinney appeared on television where he blamed his
daughter's difficulties on a Jewish conspiracy. McKinney unleashed a string of anti-semitic
sentiments, stating "This is all about the Jews" and spelling out "J-E-W-S." McKinney lost his
own seat in a runoff a few weeks later.

The Democrat Party and the Ku Klux Klan: Aside from the multiple Klan members who have served
in elected capacity within the high ranks of the Democrat Party, the political party itself has
a lengthy but often overlooked history of involvement with the Ku Klux Klan. Though it has
been all but forgotten by the media, the Democrat National Convention of 1924 was host to one
of the largest Klan gatherings in American history. Dubbed the "Klanbake convention" at the
time, the 1924 Democrat National Convention in New York was dominated by a platform dispute
surrounding the Ku Klux Klan. A minority of the delegates to the convention attempted to
condemn the hate group in the party's platform, but found their proposal shot down by Klan
supporters within the party. As delegates inside the convention voted in the Klan's favor,
the Klan itself mobilized a celebratory rally outside. On July 4, 1924 one of the largest Klan
gatherings ever occurred outside the convention on a field in nearby New Jersey. The event was
marked by speakers spewing racial hatred, celebrations of their platform victory in the
Democrat Convention, and ended in a cross burning.

II. Democrat opposition to the Civil Rights Movement:
A little known fact of history involves the heavy opposition to the civil rights movement by
several prominent Democrats. Similar historical neglect is given to the important role
Republicans played in supporting the civil rights movement. A calculation of 26 major civil
rights votes from 1933 through the 1960's civil rights era shows that Republicans favored civil
rights in approximately 96% of the votes, whereas the Democrats opposed them in 80% of the
votes! These facts are often intentionally overlooked by the left wing Democrats for obvious
reasons. In some cases, the Democrats have told flat out lies about their shameful record during
the civil rights movement.

Democrat Senators organized the record Senate filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Included among the organizers were several prominent and well known liberal Democrat standard
bearers including:
- Robert Byrd, current senator from West Virginia
- J. William Fulbright, Arkansas senator and political mentor of Bill Clinton
- Albert Gore Sr., Tennessee senator, father and political mentor of Al Gore. Gore Jr. has been
known to lie about his father's opposition to the Civil Rights Act.
- Sam Ervin, North Carolina senator of Watergate hearings fame
- Richard Russell, famed Georgia senator and later President Pro Tempore

The complete list of the 21 Democrats who opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 includes
Senators:

- Hill and Sparkman of Alabama
- Fulbright and McClellan of Arkansas
- Holland and Smathers of Florida
- Russell and Talmadge of Georgia
- Ellender and Long of Louisiana
- Eastland and Stennis of Mississippi
- Ervin and Jordan of North Carolina
- Johnston and Thurmond of South Carolina
- Gore Sr. and Walters of Tennessee
- H. Byrd and Robertson of Virginia
- R. Byrd of West Virginia

Democrat opposition to the Civil Rights Act was substantial enough to literally split the party
in two. A whopping 40% of the House Democrats VOTED AGAINST the Civil Rights Act, while 80% of
Republicans SUPPORTED it. Republican support in the Senate was even higher. Similar trends
occurred with the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which was supported by 82% of House Republicans
and 94% of Senate Republicans. The same Democrat standard bearers took their normal racists
stances, this time with Senator Fulbright leading the opposition effort.

It took the hard work of Republican Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen and Republican Whip
Thomas Kuchel to pass the Civil Rights Act (Dirksen was presented a civil rights accomplishment
award for the year by the head of the NAACP in recognition of his efforts). Upon breaking the
Democrat filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Republican Dirksen took to the Senate floor
and exclaimed "The time has come for equality of opportunity in sharing in government, in
education, and in employment. It will not be stayed or denied. It is here!" (Full text of
speech). Sadly, Democrats and revisionist historians have all but forgotten (and intentionally
so) that it was Republican Dirksen, not the divided Democrats, who made the Civil Rights Act a
reality. Dirksen also broke the Democrat filibuster of the 1957 Civil Rights Act that was
signed by Republican President Eisenhower.

Outside of Congress, the three most notorious opponents of school integration were all Democrats:

- Orval Faubus, Democrat Governor of Arkansas and one of Bill Clinton's political heroes
- George Wallace, Democrat Governor of Alabama
- Lester Maddox, Democrat Governor of Georgia

The most famous of the school desegregation standoffs involved Governor Faubus. Democrat Faubus
used police and state forces to block the integration of a high school in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The standoff was settled and the school was integrated only after the intervention of Republican
President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Even the Democrat Party organization resisted integration and refused to allow minority
participation for decades. Exclusion of minorities was the general rule of the Democrat Party
of many states for decades, especially in Texas. This racist policy reached its peak under the
New Deal in the southern and western states, often known as the New Deal Coalition region of
FDR. The Supreme Court in Nixon v. Herndon declared the practice of "white primaries"
unconstitutional in 1927 after states had passed laws barring Blacks from participating in
Democrat primaries. But the Democrat Parties did not yield to the Court’s order. After Nixon v.
Herndon, Democrats simply made rules within the party's individual executive committees to bar
minorities from participating, which were struck down in Nixon v. Condon in 1932. The Democrats,
in typical racist fashion, responded by using state parties to pass rules barring blacks from
participation. This decision was upheld in Grovey v. Townsend, which was not overturned until
1944 by Smith v. Allwright. The Texas Democrats responded with their usual ploys and turned to

what was known as the "Jaybird system" which used private Democrat clubs to hold white-only
votes on a slate of candidates, which were then transferred to the Democrat party itself and put
on their primary ballot as the only choices. Terry v. Adams overturned the Jaybird system,
prompting the Democrats to institute blocks of unit rule voting procedures as well as the
infamous literacy tests and other Jim Crow regulations to specifically block minorities from
participating in their primaries. In the end, it took 4 direct Supreme Court orders to end the
Democrat's "white primary" system, and after that it took countless additional orders, several
acts of Congress, and a constitutional amendment to tear down the Jim Crow codes that
preserved the Democrat's white primary for decades beyond the final Supreme Court order ruling
it officially unconstitutional.

Hispanics in South Texas were treated especially poorly by the Democrat Party, which relied
heavily on a system of political bosses to coerce and intimidate Hispanics into voting for
Democrat primary candidates of choice. Though coercion is illegal, this system, known as the
Patron system, is still in use to this day by local Democrat parties in some heavy Hispanic
communities of the southwest.

The next time Democrats take to the national airwaves to dishonestly accuse Republicans of
racial hatred, remember who the historical record up until this very day points to as the real
bigots: The Democrat Party. In all possible ways, the Democrat Party is built around the
pillars of ultra leftists, many of whom are known participants in racism and/or affiliates of
racist hate groups. Consider the Democrat Party of today's heroes and leaders:
- Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Democrat icon and orchestrator of Japanese Internment
- Ex-House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt, former affiliate of a St. Louis area racist group
- Ex-Senate President Pro Tempore Robert Byrd, former Ku Klux Klansman known for making bigoted
slurs on national television
- Rev. Jesse Jackson, Democrat keynote speaker and race hustler known for making anti-Semitic
slurs
- Rev. Al Sharpten, Democrat activist and perennial candidate and race hustler known inciting
anti-Semitic violence in New York City
- Sen. Ernest Hollings, leading Democrat Senator known for use of racial slurs against several
minority groups
- Lee P. Brown, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat mayor of Houston who won reelection
using racial intimidation against Hispanic voters
- Andrew Cuomo, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat candidate for NY Governor who made
racist statements about a black opponent.
- Dan Rather, Democrat CBS news anchor and editorialist known for using anti-black racial
epithets on a national radio broadcast
- Donna Brazile, former Gore campaign manager known for making anti-white racial attacks.
Brazile has also worked for Jackson, Gephardt, and Michael Dukakis

The simple truth is that the Democrat Party's history during this century is one closely aligned
to bigotry in a record stemming largely out of the liberal New Deal era up until the modern day.
Bigots are at the center of the Democrat party's current leadership and role models. And in a
striking display of hypocrisy, many of the same Democrats who dishonestly shout accusations of
"bigotry" at conservatives are practicing bigots of the most disgusting and disreputable kind
themselves.

A common attack upon conservatives and republicans by the ultra left is to engage in what has
come to be known as "playing the race card" but is more accurately described as racial
McCarthyism. Hardly a day goes by without a member of the far left wing falsely accusing
conservatives of racism, bigotry, and a wide array of similar nasty things. They are not
only dishonest, but they often border on the absurd, as in NAACP leader and hyper bigot
Julian Bond's recent implication to his organization that Bush administration officials
supported confederate slavery. Amazingly, Bond's statements went without condemnation from
the radical Democrat party or others in his organization.

Not surprisingly, in all the lies and accusations of racism by the radical left wing, the truth
becomes distorted not only about the Republicans but also the Democrats who make these
accusations themselves. For instance, you may or may not have heard Democrat Senator Robert
Byrd's outburst of racist bigoted slurs, more specifically the "n-word," on national television
in March of 2001. Amazingly, this incident of blatant racism on national television drew barely
a peep from the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, Julian Bond, Mary Frances Berry, or any of the other
ambulance chasers who purport themselves to be the leaders of the civil rights movement. In
contrast, the main source of well deserved criticism for Byrd's racist outburst came not from
any of the so called leaders of the civil rights movement but from from Republican Majority
Leader Dick Armey (source). The race hustlers Jackson, Mfume et al turned a blind eye towards
this act of racism by one of their own party, at most issuing an unpublicized slap on the wrist,
or, as was more often the case, making not a peep. But where the race hustlers turn a blind eye
and spew their lies, it is up to conservatives to set the record straight with the truth.

In response to the growing practice of racial McCarthyism by prominent left wing Democrats, it
is necessary to expose the truth about the Democrat Party's record on Civil Rights:

I. Acts of Bigotry by Prominent Democrats and Leftists:
Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Franklin Roosevelt, the long time hero and standard bearer of the
Democrat Party, headed up and implemented one of the most horrible racist policies of the 20th
Century – the Japanese Internment Camps during World War II. Roosevelt unilaterally and
knowingly enacted Japanese Internment through the use of presidential Executive Orders 9066 and
9102 during the early years of the war. These orders single-handedly led to the imprisonment of
an estimated 120,000 law abiding Americans of Japanese ancestry, the overwhelming majority of
them natural born second and third generation American citizens. Countless innocents lost their
property, fortunes, and, in the case of an unfortunate few, even their lives as a result of
Roosevelt's internment camps, camps that have been accurately described as America's
concentration camps. Perhaps most telling about the racist nature of Roosevelt's order was his
clearly expressed intention to apply it almost entirely to Japanese Americans, even though
America was also at war with Germany and Italy. In 1943, Roosevelt wrote regarding concerns of
German and Italian Americans that they t0o would share in the fate of the interned Japanese
Americans, noting that "no collective evacuation of German and Italian aliens is contemplated
at this time." Despite this assertion, Roosevelt did exhibit his personal fears about Italian
and German Americans, and in his typical racist form he used an ethnic stereotype to make his
point. Expressing about his position on German and Italian Americans during World War II,
Roosevelt stated “I don’t care so much about the Italians, they are a lot of opera singers,
but the Germans are different. They may be dangerous.”

Roosevelt also appointed two notorious segregationists to the United States Supreme Court.
Roosevelt appointed South Carolina segregationist Democrat Jimmy Byrnes to the court. Roosevelt
later made Byrnes a top advisor, where the segregationist earned the nickname “assistant
president.” Byrnes was Roosevelt’s second choice behind Harry Truman for the VP nod in his 1944
reelection bid. Roosevelt also appointed segregationist Democrat Senator Hugo Black of Alabama
to the court. Black was a former member of the Ku Klux Klan with a notorious record of racism
himself.

Hugo Black: A former Democrat Senator from Alabama and liberal U.S. Supreme Court Justice
appointed by FDR, Hugo Black had a lengthy history of hate group activism. Black was a member
of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920's and gained his legal fame defending Klansmen under prosecution
for racial murders. In one prominent case, Black provided legal representation to Klansman
Edwin Stephenson for the hate-induced murder of a Catholic priest in Birmingham. A jury composed

of several Klan members acquited Stephenson of the murder, reportedly after Black expressed
Klan gestures to the jury during the trial. In 1926 Black sought and won election as a Democrat
to the United States Senate after campaigning heavily to Klan membership. He is said to have
told one Klan audience "I desire to impress upon you as representatives of the real Anglo-Saxon
sentiment that must and will control the destinies of the stars and stripes, that I want your
counsel." In the Senate Black became a stauch supporter of the liberal New Deal initiatives of
FDR and a solid opponent of civil rights legislation, including a filibuster of an anti-lynching
measure. Black led the push for several New Deal programs and was a key participant in FDR's
court packing scandal. Roosevelt appointed Black, a loyal ally, to the U.S. Supreme Court.
During the Senate confirmation of Black's nomination, the issue of his strong Klan affiliations
caused a public controversy over his appointment. Following the confirmation Roosevelt claimed
ignorance of Black's Klan past, though this claim was dubious at best. Black's first Senate
election, which occurred with Klan support, had been covered nationally a decade earlier in
1926. Black's Klan affiliations were a well known part of his political background and recieved
heavy coverage in the newspapers at the time of his appointment. On the court, Black became a
liberal stalwart. He also continued his career of supporting racism by authoring the opinion in
favor of FDR's Japanese internment program in the infamous Korematsu ruling.

Senator Robert Byrd, D-WV: Byrd is a former member of the Ku Klux Klan and is currently the
only national elected official with a history in the Klan, a well known hate group. Byrd was
extremely active in the Klan and rose to the rank of “Kleagle,” an official Klan membership
recruiter. Byrd once stated that he joined the Klan because it was effective in "promoting
traditional American values" (Source). Byrd's choice of words speak volumes about his bigotry
considering the fact that the Klan is a notorious hate group, and the racist "values" it
promotes are anything but American. One of the earliest criticisms of Byrd's Klan ties came in
1952 when he was running for Congress. Byrd responded by claiming that he had left the Klan in
1943 while noting that "(d)uring the nine years that have followed, I have never been interested
in the Klan." Byrd was lying, however, as he engaged in correspondence with a Klan Imperial
Wizard long after he claims to have ended his ties with the hate group.

In a letter to the Klan leadership (Source) dated 3 years after he purported to have ended his
ties with them, Byrd wrote "I am a former kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County and the
adjoining counties of the state. The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to
see its rebirth here in West Virginia." Byrd continued his racist diatribe "It is necessary that
the order be promoted immediately and in every state of the Union" and followed with a request
for assistance from the hate group's leadership in "rebuilding the Klan in the realm" of West
Virginia.

Byrd's racism extends far beyond his Klan membership. In a letter he wrote on the subject of
desegregating the armed forces, Byrd escalated his racist rhetoric to an appalling level. In
the letter, Byrd vowed that he would never fight in an integrated armed services noting
"(r)ather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise
again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to
the blackest specimen from the wilds" (Source).

Byrd's racist opinions have shown their ugly face in his behavior in the Senate. Byrd led the
filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and, according to the United States Senate's own
website, filibustered the legislation to the bitter end appearing as one of the last opponents
to the act before a coalition of civil rights proponents led by Republican Minority Leader
Everett Dirksen invoked cloture so that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 could pass. At the time,
Byrd was in the the midst of a 14 hour and 13 minute filibuster diatribe against the key civil
rights measure (Source). Throughout the 1960's, Byrd was was one of the staunchest opponents
to civil rights in the U.S. Senate. Byrd’s racist history drew attention recently when he went
on national television and repeatedly used the n-word, one of the most vicious racial slurs in
existence, in an appearance on national television. Byrd uttered the slur on Fox News Sunday
with Tony Snow on March 5, 2001. Despite the appalling nature of the remark, it went largely
ignored by the mainstream media and the self appointed "civil rights" leadership. Whereas a
similar remark by anyone other than a leading Democrat Senator would assuredly prompt the likes
of Jesse Jackson to assemble protest rallies demanding resignations, the Jackson crowd was
eerily quiet following Byrd's remarks, issuing only low key suggestions that Byrd should avoid
making such bigoted remarks.

In a sickening recognition of Byrd's appalling political career, the national Democrat party has
done nothing but embrace the West Virginia senator with leadership roles and practically every
honor imaginable. To this very day the Democrats call former Klansman turned U.S. Senator Robert
Byrd the "conscience of the Senate." They have embraced him as their party's central pillar in
all ways possible. Byrd has been reelected more times than any other Democrat senator, has
served as a Democrat in Congress, a Democrat State Senator in West Virginia, and a Democrat
State Delegate in West Virginia. Democrats have made repeatedly elected Byrd into their national
party leadership and into the U.S. Senate leadership. He became secretary of the Senate Democrat
Caucus in 1967, and Senate Democrat Whip in 1971. The Democrats elected former Klansman Byrd as
their Senate Majority Leader from 1977-1980 and as their Senate Minority Leader from 1981-1986.
Byrd was again elected Democrat Majority Leader from 1987-1988. Democrats made Byrd the chairman
of the powerful Appropriations Committee and President Pro Tempore of the Senate from 1989 until
the Republicans won control of the Senate in November 1994. Following the defection of Jim
Jeffords in June 2001, the Democrats again made Byrd the chairman of the Appropriations Committee
and elected him to the highest ranking office in the Senate: the President Pro Tempore, a position
which also put this former Klansman 4th in line for the presidency. Byrd lost his position when
Republicans retook the Senate in late 2002, but continues to serve as one of the highest ranking
members of the Democrat Senate leadership today.

Senator Ernest Hollings, D-SC: Hollings is liberal Democrat Senator from South Carolina who is
also notorious for his use of racial slurs. He rose out of the Democrat Party's segregationist
wing in the 1960's as governor of South Carolina. While in office as governor, Hollings personall
y led the opposition to lunch counter integration in his state. The New York Times reported on
March 17, 1960 that then-governor Hollings "warned today that South Carolina would not permit
'explosive' manifestations in connection with Negro demands for lunch-counter services."
According to the article, Hollings gave a speech in which he "challenged President Eisenhower's
contention that minorities had the right to engage in certain types of demonstrations" against
segregation. In the speech Hollings described the Republican president as "confused" and asserted
that Eisenhower had done "great damage to peace and good order" by supporting the rights of
minorities to protest segregation at the lunch counters.

Governor Hollings' support for segregation continued throughout his term and included his
attendance at a July 23, 1961 meeting of segregationist Democrats to organize their opposition
to the civil rights movement. Hollings was one of four governors in attendence, all of them
Democrats. The others included rabid segregationists Orval Faubus of Arkansas and Ross Barnett
of Mississippi. The New York Times reported on the meeting, noting that among the strategies
discussed were using the segregationist White Citizens Council organization to mobilize
political opposition to desegregation.

In more recent years Hollings, a senior Democrat senator, has made disparaging racial remarks
and slurs against minorities. Senator Hollings, who was a contender for his party's presidential
nomination in 1984, blamed his defeat in the primaries by using a racial slur against Hispanics.
After losing the Iowa Straw Poll, Hollings stated "You had wetbacks from California that came
in here for Cranston," referring to one of his opponents, Alan Cranston. A few years later
Hollings reportedly used the slur "darkies" to derogatorily refer to blacks. He also once
disparagingly referred to the Rainbow PUSH Coalition as the "Blackbow Coalition," and called
former Senator Howard Metzenbaum, who is Jewish, "the Senator from B'nai B'rith." Hollings
gained international criticism for his remarks about the African Delegation to the 1993 Geneva
GATT conference, where he crudely remarked "you'd find these potentates from down in Africa,
you know, rather than eating each other, they'd just come up and get a good square meal in
Geneva." Hollings was also the Governor of South Carolina who raised the confederate flag over
the state capitol in the early 1960's in what was considered at the time to be an act of
defiance to civil rights. The press ignored Hollings and his role in the flag issue at the same
time the political correctness police were smearing George W. Bush during his campaign after
Bush correctly remarked that the flag was a state issue to be decided upon by South Carolina
and not the national government.

Jesse Jackson: Jackson was the featured prime time speaker at the 2000 Democrat Convention.
Jackson has a history of using anti-Semitic slurs and derogatorily calling New York City
“Hymietown.” Jackson, a prominent self proclaimed "civil rights leader," is himself guilty of
the same bigotry he dishonestly purports to oppose.

Dan Rather: Rather, the well known television anchor for CBS, is also a liberal Democrat who
has spoken at fundraisers for the Democrat party in the past. The notoriously left wing reporter
appeared on the Don Imus radio show on July 19, 2001 where he was interviewed about his long
term refusal to cover the Gary Condit (D-CA) scandal involving an affair with a missing intern
despite the scandal's national prominence. Rather noted on the air that CBS had basically forced
him to cover the story that was on every other network and on the front page of all the major
newspapers, all this after Rather avoided it for months. Rather stated on the air, refering to
CBS, that "they got the Buckwheats" and made him cover the Condit scandal. The term "Buckwheat"
is considered an offensive racial stereotype that stems from an easily frightened black
character named "Buckwheat" on the Little Rascals comedies. It is widely regarded as a racial
epithet and has long been condemned as an offensive stereotype by several civil rights
organizations. In several past incidents (see here and here) the use of the epithet "Buckwheat"
has recieved condemnation by the NAACP, Al Sharpton and other left wing organizations. These
left wing organizations and personalities have demanded that other media personalities be fired
over using the epithet, and even staged a protest at a school over the mere allegation that the
racist stereotype had been used by a teacher. Yet these same liberal groups have, to date,
remained completely silent now that one of their own, Dan Rather, is guilty of using the same
offensive racial stereotype they have condemned elsewhere on a national radio show. It's just
more proof of how the left wingers who cry the loudest with accusations of racism against others
turn a blind eye when somebody of their own left wing ideology is the undeniable culprit of a
blatantly racist act or statement!

Cragg Hines: Hines is one of the most rabidly partisan DC based Democrat editorial columnists
to work for a major newspaper, and he makes no attempts to hide it. To Hines, pro-lifers are
"neanderthals," as is often the case with those who differ in opinion with him. Ironically,
Hines, a columnist who regularly touts himself as an enlightened progressive, is also known for
racial remarks and religious intolerance. He attacked Senator Jesse Helms in an August 26, 2001
editorial with not only the usual liberal name calling, but also with a racial epithet. Hines
used the racial slur "cracker" to attack Helms. He used the epithet not only within the
article's text, but he even included it in the piece's title. In a sense of heavy irony, Hines'
article accused Helms of bigotry for, among other things, opposing liberal policies like
affirmative action. He didn't seem to object to himself for his own bigotted language in the
same article. Hines has also drawn heavy criticism from Catholics including a letter to the
editor from the former President of the U.S. Catholic Bishop's Conference for his seemingly
agenda-driven criticisms of Catholicism and its religious leaders, often based on little or no
historical evidence, which he has expressed in numerous editorial columns

What destroy's our Public Education system is that it is run at the state level, our children receive the least amount of instruction time of any "Western Nation" (most go 6 days a week and the school day is 8-5), there is no shame in our society if kids fail so they feel no obligation or expectation, most states (CA one of them) have science text books that are so antiquated that they don't even show that man walked on the moon, educators are under paid, schools - like our infrastructure are falling apart, school is not a day care - teachers aren't responsible for raising our children, there is not a national requirement that the states must meet in what our children should know..etc..

We need a complete overhaul or the rest of the world is going to leave us in the dust.

A RACIST PARTY WITH A RACIST STRATEGY: THE REPUBLICANS

When President Johnson helped pass Civil Rights legislation in the 1960s he commented that: "Well, there goes the South." He meant, of course, that now the South would become Republican as they now saw the Democrats as the party standing up for the blacks.

Following the Civil War, the South defeated what little there was of Reconstruction when in a contested presidential election the Republicans under Hayes agreed to pull out Federal troops from the South in exchange for Hayes being president. After the troops wee gone, the whites took back any remaining outstanding power that blacks had and placed blacks in a new type of slavery: this one an economic slavery through the share-cropping system.

Southerners have traditionally dominated American politics to a greater extent than their proportional representation entitled them, because, although they were largely members of the Democratic party (because the South was poor), they could quickly shift their weight to the Republican party to pass conservative legislation or to block liberal legislation. They voted virtually as a block and this ability gave them legislative power. Southern Democrats were pretty solidly racist and voted to keep the racist system in place.


Following the Civil Rights legislation, the South temporarily lost some of its legislative power as its voters and politicians switched inexorably to the Republican party. This, of course, has made the Republican party even more conservative and racist than it had ever been following the death of Reconstruction.

The South also changed its religion. As the former Democratic South changed it allegiances in politics, so did it also start to change its allegiances in religion. In the days of the anti-slavery movement, when the Anglican ministers in the South would not support racism and pro-slavery sentiment, the South changed its religions to the more personal, evangelical religions whose ministers did support racism and slavery. An insistence on maintaining a racist structure leads also to an insistence on racists values and hence racist religions. Similarly, today's Southerners are abandoning the more staid evangelical religions for the highly personalized religions characterized by the phrase "born-again Christians." Whereas, many a Methodist or Baptist preacher would not now condone racism, the Southerners don't have to worry about this with their new preachers of born-again religion.

With the abandonment by the Southern Democrats of the Democratic party, blacks became somewhat more influential in the Democratic party, because the party was now much smaller than it had been. As a result, the Democratic party is somewhat more liberal than it used to be.

So the division between the two parties grew. The Republican party represented the wealthy industrialists and other rich persons, the South, and a good proportion of the working class and middle-class who were concerned that blacks were getting too much privilege in this country. (I watched a lot of coverage of the 2000 elections and I heard no one discuss the obvious: the entire old Confederacy went for the Republicans, plus the more rural parts of the Midwest -- with the exception of Ohio. So Bush won the election with a combination of the two R's: ruralism and racism. The networks are both too biased and/or too afraid of losing ratings by offending the South and Midwest, apparently.)

The Democratic party, although losing the South, did retain some of its traditional base, working class, some of the middle class, and the blacks. But by and large, the Democratic party was much weakened by the overall abandonment of the party by the South.

The end result was that the two parties now grew very far apart from each other ideologically speaking. The Republicans now had a very strong racist backing which made the party take very conservative stances. The Democrats had a cadre of liberals that kept its ideas in the liberal camp.

Since the two parties were so far apart from each other, many Americans, more in the ideological middle, not solidly racist, but certainly not pro-active for Civil Rights legislation, did not trust either of the parties. So the middle areas decided to practice split government. If the Democrats had the legislature, the voters would give the executive to the Republicans. If the voters gave the legislature to the Republicans, they tended to give the presidency to the Democrats. It was and not a perfect pattern, but the general trend is still true. The voters figure that it is better to have political stalemate than to have either party do something "radical," either to the political right or the left.

The new racism of the Republican party has expressed itself in some very ugly ways. Since the voters were not giving the Republicans a clear hand and they wanted to stop any more pro-Civil Rights legislation, they decided to take a strategy that would ultimately prove very destructive of the United States as a whole.

In a sense, they decided to bribe the American public. They took the stance that the government was a bad thing; that government over-taxed the public in order to waste money on destructive progressive legislation to help the blacks and other minorities. The Republicans basically said, vote for us and we will give the money to you. We will put your money back in your pocket instead of in the pockets of bad government. This way the voters would keep more money, and the Republicans would be able to stymie any further hope for a progressive government.

In a sense, the Republicans made a pact with the devil. They sold their political soul to the hatred of the government devil, in return for dominance in American politics. The Republicans demonized government and the liberals. And no one clearly denounces the Republican Party for being virtual anarchists -- always promising tax cuts and to hell with government functioning. Actually, there is a method to the madness of the Republicans. They claim that government is bad and so taxes have to be cut, then government functioning does indeed become bad in many areas because of the lack of funding, and then the Republican use the damage (that they caused) as evidence that government is no good. It because a destructive cycle with the government getting worse and the public becoming more and more cynical.

The conservative emphasis on hatred of government is very attuned with racism. Racism encourages hatred and hatred of government, especially a pro-Civil Rights government, is very compatible with racism. The forces of Republican, Southern, and born-again Christian racism and moralism reinforces each other in a blend of very nasty, vindictive rhetoric.

Southern racists have always insisted that they were more religious than any other segment of the population. And Southern religion, largely being racist, has an exaggerated sense of moralism. Vernon Johns always used to marvel that the most "religious" part of the country was also the worst violator of Civil Rights.

This attitudinal mixture of racist moralism, so typical of the South and now so typical of the Republicans, was practiced by the Republicans in spades and to excess to paralyze the presidency of the Democratic president, William Jefferson Clinton. The Republicans were able to paralyze the Democrats by their constant misuse of legislative committees and hearings. Somehow the Republicans have been able to substitute their racist moralism for any balanced sense of decency and fair play. Somehow they have decided that anyone in political life that they don't like and who has committed adultery is deserving of being replaced in political office or paralyzed in their exercise of political office.

It has been a long time since the American political culture has experienced such vindictive and hateful rhetoric. The moralists, who are supposed to be more moral than the rest of us, feel that it is justified to describe the president of the United States as a "scumbag," a "stupid, fat bastard," an "adulterer," a "rapist," etc. We became used to "hate" radio, but now with cable we have "hate" TV. Angry white men with a Republican bent now shout their anger and racist moralisms and accusations at the top of their lungs. On cable TV, almost the entire Fox News network is a very conservative, I would even say racist, network.

A great tragedy is that the liberals have not spoken up for themselves. They have not defended Democratic values and beliefs, but rather have either remained silent, or, like Senator Joseph Liebermann, have actually spoken out against President Clinton. (Liebermann wants to compete with the Republicans for moralism -- something which cannot be accomplished.)

The atmosphere these days is somewhat reminiscent of the McCarthy days. McCarthy was going around pretending he was more moral, more loyal, to the United States and that others were "beyond the pale" and had to be stopped, or at least punished. No one spoke up against McCarthyism until McCarthy went too far and took on the United States Army.

One reason for the Democrats silence and weakness against the moral terrorism of the Republicans is that the Democrats have themselves unleashed moralism by their insistence that everyone use "politically correct" speech. Liberals can go so far to the left in some areas that they come to resemble their opponents. The puritanism in the "politically correct" movement is one with the moralism of the racists. It's hard for Democrats to speak out against destructive moralists when they have been acting much the same way -- using moralism to enforce heterodoxy on their followers and others.

Another reason for Democratic weakness is the failure of the liberals to find, maintain, and use some measure of racism and hence a determination of who are the racists. Any charge of racism is easily deflected by conservative racists by them simply saying that they have black friends and have taken pro-black steps such as appointing blacks to political office. When a conservative Republican has virtually never voted for any progress Civil Rights legislation and indeed has actively worked against the passage of any progressive legislation, he ought to be called a "racist." But apparently the liberals, both black and white, are too scared to support some measure of racism so we could get a better handle on the racism of the Republican party.

At the present there is no effective Democratic spokesperson who can defend the party against the destructive moralism of the Republicans. There is no liberal who can effectively come out and expose the Republican party for its pact with the racist-moralist devil. This has left the Democrats pretty defenseless and considerably hopeless.

Americans love to go on witch hunts. The country experienced the Salem witch trials, the McCarthy era, the crazed search for child molesters in our kindergarten systems, and now the witch hunt for moral failings of politicians, and including, people who are even just considered "role models." Witch hunts are only stopped by people standing up to the fanatic hunters and telling them they have gone too far.

Frankly, the Republicans so misused their racism moralism once they got control over the legislature, that it would be better for the Democratic party to, in an era of divided government, to try to capture the legislature and let the Republicans have the presidency. Nothing much will get done, but that is normal in divided government. At least, we would not have to go through the nonsense we had to go through when Clinton was in office. There is only one president and so he is an easy target. There are too many Democratic legislators for them all to fall to charges raised against their personal morals by the moralistic Republicans.

The Republicans have certainly won this game of "moralism." Hopefully, Democrats will learn that it is impossible to out-moralize the racists. Instead, they should abandon extreme moralism as a destructive force in American life.

A recent press report pointed out that, “In an odd sort of role reversal, Republicans who traditionally have railed against out-of-control entitlement spending and sought to scale back Medicare are positioning themselves as champions of the program.” [The Hill, 9/23/2009] The Washington Post found that, “After years of trying to cut Medicare spending, Republican lawmakers have emerged as champions of the program, accusing Democrats of trying to steal from the elderly to cover the cost of health reform.” [Washington Post, 9/28/2009] In a recent op-ed, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele erroneously asserted, “under the Democrats’ plan, senior citizens will pay a steeper price and will have their treatment options reduced or rationed.” [Washington Post, 8/24/2009] In a weak attempt to demonstrate Republicans’ new-found commitment to Medicare, Steele proposed a “Seniors’ Health Care Bill of Rights” to, in his words, “ensure that our greatest generation will receive access to quality health care.”



Given their long-standing opposition to Medicare, why should Americans trust that the Republican Party has changed its ways? Republicans were wrong when they opposed the creation of Medicare, they were wrong when they tried to cut the program and allow it to ‘wither on the vine,’ and they are wrong now to assert that health insurance reform will harm Medicare.



Republicans’ Real Record on Seniors Issues: Wrong Then, Wrong Now



Republicans opposed the creation of Medicare. When the Medicare legislation passed in July 1965, the majority of Republican Senators voted against both Senate passage of Medicare and the final conference report. [Congressional Record, 7/9/1965; Social Security Administration, accessed 9/16/2009]



GOP called Medicare “brazen socialism.” During the 1965 Medicare debate, Republican Senator Curtis of Nebraska voiced GOP opposition to the program and said Medicare “is not needed. It is socialism. It moves the country in a direction which is not good for anyone, whether they be young or old. It charts a course from which there will be no turning back….It is not only socialism – it is brazen socialism.” [Congressional Record, 7/8/1965]



· GOP insisted Medicare would not rely on doctors to “make the program work.” Senator Curtis also warned that Medicare would result in the program “not relying on the advice of the medical association or doctors collectively to make the program work,” insisting that “the insurance industry has a remarkable record” and that Medicare “is not public welfare. It is not charity. It is not kindness. It is socialism. Socialism is not the answer to anything.” [Congressional Record, 7/8/1965]



· GOP predicted patients would suffer under Medicare. On the House floor, Representative Hall (R-MO) stated “...we cannot stand idly by now, as the Nation is urged to embark on an ill-conceived adventure in government medicine, the end of which no one can see, and from which the patient is certain to be the ultimate sufferer.” [Congressional Record, 4/8/1965]



Reagan Administration focused on cutting Medicare benefits. In his book The Politics of Medicare, Thomas Marmor outlines the pillars of President Reagan’s health policies, including “…cutting benefits, in particular through increased cost-sharing for Medicare and Medicaid recipients…” [Marmor, 2000, p. 108]



· GOP said Medicare stood out “like a sore thumb.” In discussing the federal budget, Senator Dole acknowledged that Congress was unlikely to include substantial funding cuts, but seemed to encourage President Reagan to propose them. Of cuts included in the federal budget, Senator Dole said, “Maybe some, but not much. That doesn’t mean the president may not suggest cuts because our big problem in government is non-defense entitlement programs, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and we’re going to have to address them. Medicare stands out like a sore thumb.” [United Press International, 12/12/82]



· GOP argued Medicare cuts would not hurt elderly. Republican Senator Gramm argued that significant cuts to Medicare would not affect beneficiaries, saying, “People are confused because when you say ‘Medicare’ you think of mama… Don’t think of mama, think of doctors and hospitals.” [United Press International, 11/5/85]



· GOP targeted Medicare for cuts. When asked what programs he would consider cutting, Senator Domenici, who at that time served as the ranking Republican on the Senate Budget Committee, said, “You have to go to programs like farm support, like Medicare, and many of the other programs that have grown rather broadly.” [Chicago Tribune, 11/2/87]



George H. W. Bush Administration proposed increased cost-sharing, reduced reimbursement. In 1992, the Bush Administration introduced a plan calling for “increases in the premiums and copayments for which the elderly were financially responsible…increases in private insurance premiums for supplementary Medicare policies (Medigap), such changes, the Congressional Budget Office estimated, would have increased the elderly’s spending on health care from 7 percent of their incomes to nearly 12 percent by 1997.” [Marmor, 2000, p. 125]



Republican Presidential candidate Dole bragged about his vote against Medicare. In 1995, after Medicare had successfully lifted millions of seniors out of poverty and assured them access to affordable health care, then-Senate Majority Leader Dole continued his party’s opposition to Medicare. In a 1995 speech to the American Conservative Union while campaigning for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination, Dole boasted, “I was there, fighting the fight, voting against Medicare…because we knew it wouldn't work in 1965.” [Washington Post, 10/26/1995]



Newt Gingrich wanted Medicare to “wither on the vine.” Then-Speaker of the House Gingrich, in remarks to a Blue Cross Blue Shield conference on October 24, 1995, said of Medicare, “Now, we don't get rid of it in round one because we don't think that that's politically smart, and we don't think that's the right way to go through a transition. But we believe it's going to wither on the vine because we think people are voluntarily going to leave it -- voluntarily.” [New York Times, 7/20/1996]



Dick Armey wanted to “wean” seniors from Medicare. In a 1995 meeting with reporters, then-House Majority Leader Dick Armey said, “We need to wean our old people away from Medicare.” [Newsday, 12/09/2006]

Looks like you are one of 300,000 or so "Barack Obama" supporters on TheFacebook.com. First, congratulations and thank you all for logging on to the debate. It's great to see so much participation.


Now, let me share something that scares me about you. I have been listening to many of your reasons for supporting Obama. I have watched a good number of interviews on CNN, MSNBC and YouTube to better understand why you think Obama will be great president in 2008, and I keep hearing things like:


"It's just the way he lights up a room"


"We haven't seen a candidate this charismatic since JFK."


"It's just hard to be objective with this guy"


Obama fans seem to give you the same general answer. Mostly, it has something to do with this charisma. If you want a good example check out a recent interview George Clooney gave explaining his reason; you get the same JFK personality "thing."


To me, it's like you are all voting for Obama because of some unexplainable aura he exudes. Everyone is swooning over this almost mysterious attraction he exudes. "Electric" is another word I have been hearing. Call it what you will; let's just call it his innate charisma.


I understand that some of you are voting for Obama for reasons other than his charisma. But, as I watch the size of your group swell before my very eyes (literally every refresh shows another five to ten more supporters) I am becoming more alarmed by your thought processes, and less convinced that you know what an Obama presidency will actually look like.


History shows that it was exactly this kind of thinking which allowed charismatic leaders like Adolf Hitler to take power. Extreme? For sure. But, it is a relevant comparison when looking at large groups of people being swayed to act for all the wrong reasons.

I'll name another likeable persona. George W. Bush (Did you ever see Alexandra Pelosi’s documentary Journeys with George?) It was Dub’s personality -- not his ideas -- that beat John Kerry. Remember that image of him quarterbacking the football on the White House lawn. For many, it was this image of being "tough" and " in command" that made a choice a little easier. Many of you may not feel that was a good choice.



When an NBC reporter admitted to Brian Williams that it was hard for him "to stay objective when covering this guy" many others began to wonder about this mysterious Obama magic. This comment was alarming coming from a journalist who we assume is schooled in objectivity! Someone who gets paid to be our watchdog and cut through the b.s.




If Obama is having this effect on our media how do we, as a responsible public, stand a chance in being objective ourselves? Who is going to ask the hard questions? Further, how can democracy survive without objective thinking?


Sadly (for Obama) it all comes down to the race. As much as Obama would like to believe that race is no longer an issue for us voters, it absolutely is an issue, and may even be the source of his charismatic power. Let's play a pretend to see how it works. Pretend that Barack Obama is white. Imagine a white, mostly inexperienced junior senator from Illinois with the exact same ideas and speeches.


Does it have the same effect? Imagine a lanky white candidate with the exact same rhetoric and the exact same calls for "change." Is the image as powerful? Does he seem as attractive to you? Are you even listening?


Barack Obama is able to compensate for his lack of experience by being black. And to me this is a shame, because I think there were a handful of highly qualified Democrats with betters ideas and a whole lot more experience who were out-dazzled by Obama's race.


What I really want is to ask you for a favor. There are a lot of Obama groupies who I know cannot fully explain or articulate their attraction to Obama in terms of real or even imagined policies. If this sounds like your or someone you love, please ask why you are drawn to this man. If your answer has to do with charisma, then I would like you to explain to how exactly charisma can solve things like a slowing economy or the threat of a nuclear attack on a major American city.


Through this process you might even see that Obama shies away from explicitly stating how he intends to achieve universal healthcare or ending the war.


So to you 300,000 or so Obama groupies: when I ask why you are voting Obama, don't sound like George Clooney and say something silly like, "He reminds of JFK," or, "He just lights up the room a certain way."


To his credit, Obama has gotten young people back in politics. That is awesome. But the record throughout history of people who have won power through great charisma is not encouraging.


Put your feelings aside and think it over.
