Dude, you are asking dudes in this "manly" culture to accept $8 per hr to wipe dirty bathroom shelves while you go "build something". Beyond that unfortunate little item, $8 per- for a man's day isn't too good, no matter what he's doing (he's off looking for other work by the way, as am I)- if you can't do better than that then don't get mad, you're just going to have to do it yourself! *sigh* And one is hard-pressed to feed their babies with beer.

Heating needed/help plumber/electrician ideas... (Southcoast)

Need heat in my basement.
Gas heat of some sort can't be vented to the chimney.
Can it be vented another "cost effective" way?
I know there is always electric baseboard, however there is the large electric bill as well.
Is there a different type of heating unit available?
I'm hoping to toss around a few ideas a knowledgable person and finding a solution, and paying the person to do it.

kitchen remodel (fall river)

i was doing a kitchen remodel by myself. Has become a little too much between work and school and a baby on the way. cabinets been ordered. Please dont be afraid to run wires. Dont need to get into the breaker box but have some electrical and plumbing skillis. IE Hook up the drain and connect plugs. I can get at least ten percent at the depot and lowes so if you can get materials cheaper than that u can get materials. Cabinets are sitting in my living room.
