Instructional Designer (University Park, PA)

Information Technology Services Training Services, a unit of Information Technology Services (ITS), is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and develop training materials on various ITS systems and services. This job will work with subject matter experts from ITS units to identify training needs, design and develop e-learning and instructor-led materials, and conduct summative evaluations to determine the effectiveness of training. This job will be filled as a level 2 or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Master's degree plus two years of related experience in instructional design or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in instructional design and adult learning theories and have experience conducting needs assessments using a variety of assessment methods, designing and developing synchronous and asynchronous learning, developing blended learning solutions, developing project plans, managing multiple projects, meeting project deadlines, communicating with stakeholders and working in a team environment. Experience is expected with e-learning development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect Pro, Adobe Presenter and Adobe Flash. Candidate must have excellent communication, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills.
