Housing needed near campus for Dec-March
Hello. I will be working for the Athletic Department on a temporary basis, from December through March and am seeking housing. It is possible this will turn into a permanent position, but I won’t know that for awhile.
I am a male college graduate (sorry, not Penn State!!) and will be working non-regular hours broadcasting and marketing sporting events. I would prefer a place near campus. I would prefer my own room and bathroom. I would be willing to share an apartment as long as it is relatively quite and not Animal House.
Please describe the housing, any roommates, and the total cost.
Thanks for your consideration.
5 responsible girls seek house or apartment (near campus)
My four friends and I are all sophomore girls looking for housing for fall 2010/spring 2011. We would like to find a house or townhouse or apartment that we could all share within reasonable walking distance to campus. We are looking to rent a house or apartment with 4 bedrooms (two of us are going to share). We all have jobs or student loans, paying rent would never be a problem with us. If you are interested in renting a house to 5 very responsible girls, please contact me with details concerning location, rent, and if we could see the place sometime after Thanksgiving. Again, we are very dependable, you would never need to worry about us wrecking your house....we have leases now and are responsible tenants. Thanks in advance!

Wanting a three bedroom house by January 2010. Must allow pets (2 dogs).
Need 2 BR for my family (State College/Bellefonte area) $500
I am a student registered for classes in Spring '10 and still have not found a place to live. My husband and daughter would live with me and we're from Ohio. As long as we can fit our furniture in and can see pictures we will most likely take it. We would prefer a town home or duplex but would be happy with apartment or mobile home as well and can pay little more than $500/mo. Even just for the Spring like a sublet would do.
Adult Non-Stdt Couple Seeks House (Centre County) $800
- Adult (27/32), non-student couple seeks rental house
- Lease should begin anytime after July 1, 2010.
- Can provide security deposit equal to 1 month rent at least signing
- Rental payment history available from current rental agency & previous landlords
We've lived together with roommates but are looking for our own place with more privacy. We are both employed full-time. We have two well-behaved, indoor cats; we would prefer a house with a garage and/or ample storage.
Will absolutely consider any locations within Centre County, but prefer: east State College, Houserville, Lemont, Pleasant Gap, Boalsburg.
Will also seriously consider a cabin/rural or secluded rental. Willing to do lawn care/snow removal as part of lease terms.
Thank you for your consideration! :-)

Need a sublet for Fall 2010
Hi, I need a place to live next fall because I'll be done with school in December. I'm not picky about location or roommates. Let me know if you have an extra spot.
SUBLET FOR Spring 2010/ Great location, cheap, furnished (227 West Hamilton Ave, State College PA ) $398
Looking for a sublet for Spring 2010 semester.
This is a 3 level townhome:
-2 bedrooms are upstairs to go along with a full bathroom and a study room.
-A very spacious living room and kitchen.
-There is a really nice and large balcony that overlooks the super convenient stripmall directly across the street (the strip mall has a Liquor store. East Coast Fitness Center, Brother's Pizza, Wild Side pet shop, UPS store, laundromat, and Hair Salon)
In the basement there is a large bedroom with full bath and shower. In a seperate room there is a laundry room that has free washer and dryer along with a lot of space for storage.
The sublet is for the large basement bedroom. Unfortunately it will need to be shared, but it is a big room with a sizable closet and a full bath to share.
Great Location, far enough away from campus to be nice and quiet, but close enough to walk to class and more importantly, the bars.
Rent is only $398 and it includes everything... water, cable, internet, electric... and everything else
The address is 227 West Hamilton Ave, State College Pa 16801
Move in time is Jan 1, 2010 but that can be negotiated
Need 1 br sublet close to campus Spring 2010 (State College) $500
I am in great need of a sublet for the Spring 2010. The sublet has to be within walking distance of campus, so sorry guys that live around The Pointe and Copper Beach. I would love to have my own bedroom, although I won't be terribly picky since I do need a place for next semester. I am a male so please no "females only" replys. Thanks guys!
Professional (26) in need of housing
Hi!
I am a 26 year old professional. I am looking for housing in the N. Atherton area ASAP. I can afford around $400/month. I'm a pretty laid back guy. I am not really a partier, I like to go out every so often to have a drink and kick back but drinking is not a big thing for me. I would prefer a place where I am surrounded by similar people. I belive that I have pretty much outgrown the party stage of my life so if you tend to throw a bunch of parties or spend multiple nights per week out at the bar then I may not be the roommate for you.
I like to just kind of chill around the house, drink some coffee, and relax. I love playing X-Box, hanging out with friends, chilling and watching movies, and so on. I work a lot, so I'll be out of the house quite a bit. I'm also into some pretty dorky stuff as well like WoW and whatnot. If you have a place that is within my price range that will be available now, or soon, please feel free to contat me with any and all information including what would be necessary to move in (an application, security deposit, and so on)
Thank you.

spring sublet solo needed (west downtown) $500
ok i am living with a very religious group and i am, well not that, i drink, curse mildly, and oddly enough bring women home. i am calm intelligent and responsible but the judging has gotten old and i only have one semester left and i want to live it my way, we are all staying friends and they are letting me out of the lease a semester early so i am looking for my own one bedroom apartment in the west side of downtown, so the old main side of shortledge (i want to stay in walking distance of both school and work). i need it to be under 500 even better if its under 400 because thats what i pay now. utilities are negotiable based upon how good the place is, loud or quiet does not matter to me just privacy and no bible studies in the living room when south park is on, makes it kinda awkward. any other questions just ask.

Housing needed for fall '10 (State College)
I am a 21 year old male looking for housing in downtown state college for next fall. I am going abroad in the spring so if somebody is traveling in the fall and wants to split with me that would be perfect. Easy going and I'll pretty much take anything as long as you or your roommates fall somewhere between anal retentive neat freak and pig. Thanks
apt or sm house (17751/17745)
wanted 2 br apt or house
32yr male student looking for convenient housing (close to campus/Transportation) $450
Starting in the Spring 2010 Semester (early January) I'm looking to rent one furnished bedroom in a comfortable, clean, friendly and nice house from a fairly established state college homeowner. You might be a professor, a PSU staff member a retired resident or a young professional employed in the region, but you wouldn't mind having someone around to share your home with and you've got some extra space. I may be your ideal room-mate.
I'm looking for something "around" $450 including utilities, so I don't expect to get my own private suite/bathroom, although I can hope :)
I'm a 31 year old real estate entrepreneur who will be returning to Penn State main campus to complete my Electrical Engineering degree after 7 years absence. My Fiancé Jessica and I have our own beautiful house back in Philadelphia filled with our personal belongings and I don't want to move this stuff back and forth between PSU and Philadelphia + Jess will still be living there. I can easily bring the furniture for the bedroom as I have extra, however the other stuff I don't want to have to bring. I'm looking for someone that already has it all (internet, furniture, cookware, etc) and who would like to share their home with a considerate, clean and fun housemate for approximately two years (although I don't need a full 2 year commitment from anyone) while I complete my studies. I'm looking to focus and don't want to be distracted by where/who I live with - that being said, I'm friendly and have no problem socializing/going out for a few beers and hanging out.
I enjoy cooking, but probably won't cook as much as I do at home, but I'd really like to live with someone who already has a staple of spices, general cooking ingredients like corn-starch, various cooking oils, cooking wines, etc so that again - I can leave this stuff at home. I already have all the utensils, pans, etc, but I don't want bring it. I'll gladly reimburse you for consumables.
A little to help you understand what I'd be like as a room-mate:
I will also be renting out a couple bedrooms in my home when I leave - to help cover costs of our 4 bedroom home in Philadelphia and to ensure that Jess isn't living by herself in an empty house. Outside of the privacy issue and having to share our living room - we'd be concerned about how this person would or wouldn't take care of our stuff. Straight away - you should know that I'd never put your All-Clad Non-stick pan in the dishwasher, or touch the surface with metal, or try to clean it with steel wool, or spill something on your leather couch without wiping it off immediately and then carefully cleaning it with a slightly moist rag. I won't be bringing my dyson which I love, but I hope you have one so I can help sweep the floors, etc. and keep things spotless, or close enough as I'm sure we will both be busy.
While I won't get in your way and will take care of your stuff, I also really want to live with someone who is relaxed and down to earth.
What I will bring is a mountain bike, road bike, laptop with a second screen, a small library of reference books, a 4 ft closet full of hanging clothes and chest of drawers worth of clothing. If necessary I'll bring my own comfortable mattress (can't sleep on cheap ones anymore). I will be brining an xbox 360 - maybe a flat screen tv if you don't have two places to chill and therefore would use my bedroom for playing xbox, etc.
I will be on campus much of the time, but depending on my course schedule - I could easily be home here and there between 9-5 during the week, and typically there is one day in my schedule that doesn't have classes - so I'll either be studying at home all day or studying on campus all day. I'd like to have a place to spread out, but won't leave my stuff out after I'm done, except for in my own room or if we discus some arrangement. I would like the room to be "my" space while I'm there - meaning it is private unless I'm away for the weekend or gone on vacation (in which case I wouldn't mind someone else sleeping there if linens are taken care of).
I'm looking to pay a reasonable rent, but I will be on somewhat of tighter budget than I'm used to. I can't afford to pay what I would if I had an income (or didn't have to cover a mortgage back in Philly!), nor will I be looking to share in costs for things I'll rarely use like cable. Jess works full time at a large financial services firm. Depending upon her schedule and mine - we'd like to spend as many weekends together as possible, but honestly as a Junior EE- I'll be spending most of my time working on homework and studying - even when she comes to visit. She's studying for the GMAT and is working her way through the Chartered Financial Analyst tests - so she will be working just as hard as I am during the weekends.
I love to read science fiction, and history. I am a lover of gadgets and technology - things that make life easier or more interesting or that remake the world. I'm fairly fit - 5'9 185lbs, like to go for a run or walk multiple times during the week, watch very little TV, enjoy techno music and have a portfolio of rental properties back in Philadelphia. I like to watch movies, write in my journal, and hang out with friends who have intelligent and interesting things to say. I have led an interesting life , but honestly, the next two years will be nose in book, and focused on getting me into a fantastic technology based grad school program.
couple pics below - one of me with my new nephew, and the other of me and my fiance - Jessica
oh yea - I want to live with a non smoker...

Female professional with dog needs place to live (desperately) (Bellefonte/ State College area) $500
I need a room/ apartment/ house/ or livable garage space for the following occupants:
1) 24 yr old female bat biologist; non-smoker; flexible, laid-back; very tidy in common areas and considerate of shared space/ property; very quiet (except when paged for a fire call - on those rare occasions, expect ~30seconds of sprinting and mild cursing); enjoys having roommates, but is willing to live solo; fair cook who also enjoys baking; fairly handy with a wrench
2) 3 yr old mutt-dog, Loki; ~65lbs; very quiet and well-mannered; loves to snuggle, but won't jump on furniture unless invited to do so; never chews on anything that doesn't belong to him; enjoys sleeping, car rides, and meal time; gets along very well with other animals
Both of these occupants travel quite a bit for work (primarily in summer) and will be absent from the premises for about 6 collective months out of the year (so a roomie would pretty much have the place to themselves most of the year).
We're hoping for a place somewhere in or between State College and Bellefonte. Zion or Pleasant Gap would also be convenient.
We're all packed and ready to move-in as early as... well, this evening, really... Contact via email or call/text 704.747.5311 (Chelsea will answer.. Loki is not so good at communicating via cell phone)

The sooner we can move in, the better

Looking for a place to live Spring '11 (as close to campus as possible) $200450
I know it's early, but I wanted to start looking for housing options after my return from study abroad next year. I'm looking for a quiet place to live close to campus; willing to share bedroom/bathroom; prefer female roommates (I am female myself); like to party, but not at home, so I would prefer to live with people who aren't interested in throwing very many parties. I am friendly, but a little quiet, have no pets, don't smoke, and live a very busy life.
While I can't guarantee anything now, seeing as it'll be a year in a half, I would still like to meet potential subletters and find out more about your future apartment/roommates, plus this is an opportunity for you to find a sublet nice and early if you're leaving in the spring.
Thanks!

Looking for 3 bdrm house for rent mid 2010 (state college area)
As of August 2010 I will be in need of renting a house with the following requirements....
3 bdrm
2-car garage
full basement
Non crowded location
Doesnt have to be in downtown state college, just within 20-30 miles or so of the general area
I just want to mention something before I go any further...I do DJ work (would be in the basement) and work on cars/motorcycles (which will be done in the garage) in my spare time and cant be shoulder to shoulder with neighbors. This doesnt mean I will be throwing parties with 50 cars parked in the drive or reving engines and welding at 3am. Ive very respectful of people, I just dont want to disturb anyone while working. I would like something modern. Doesnt have to be high class luxury, but I dont want to live in a place that is a 100 years old or needs maintanace every month. If you have a house that meets these requirements, I want to talk to you! Please email me and hopefully arrange a time to get together to discuss things further. Thanks everyone.
P.S. I would like to get a pet cat to keep me company....not a requirement, so a place that would permit such a pet would be a plus. Thanks again.
