FIRST: This engine cranks but will not fire.. no spark (ground issue/bad coil (though coil seems to tests good))

This engine is complete. It has a new rectifier, a rebuilt starter that cranks like crazy- every time, new spark plugs and plug caps, prop's in good shape, gave the lower unit a lube change about a year ago (zero miles on it, of course), crisply polished points, and plenty of fresh wiring- I just can't seem to get a spark. A few marine techs mentioned that it was probably just a grounding issue or the coil (though the coil tests out functional), so it's likely a simple issue that's keeping the spark down. Very clean engine as well; I tried to keep it free of debris while I had it. I bought it as a project motor (& boat) a while ago and don't have much time now to sort it out (plus I need the extra money), but I am no mechanic, and would rather see her in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing. The throttle assembly (lever and cables), as well as the ignition key switch (and keys) will be included.

It does NOT have clamps for securing to transom- fyi.
Could be a dependable and powerful engine for someone who had the time to fix it up. I'll be sad to see it go!
ALSO I will be including a 125 page '58 - '72 outboard manual in adobe 9 format on disc. (or I can email it to you- might be easier) that will include EVERYTHING you would need to know to service or repair this engine!
