DESCRIPTION:
Bonvoy offers Moab Mountain Biking adventures for various skill levels including Beginner and Intermediate bikers. Our Intermediate Moab Mountain Biking adventures offer a 3 day adventure that includes classic trails such as Amasa Black, Flat Pass and Slickrock that will have you saddle up for miles of exciting trails and Moab Mountain Biking memories for a lifetime.
Amasa Back is a 21 mile out and back trail that offers a rock staircase, stream crossings, technical climbs/descents, and amazing views.
Flat Pass is a 16 mile trail with lots of rocks, and several stream crossings so there are plenty of chances to get wet. It is an advanced technical ride with an initial 1000 feet climb over 4 miles, then 1500 feet of descent over 6 miles.
Slickrock is perhaps the most popular mountain bike trail in the world, boasting over 100,000 visitors per year. Wandering eyes will discover intricate features and shapes in the petrified sand dunes that comprise the trail. There are many opportunities to peer into shadow-filled canyons, or gaze upon Arches National Park across the Colorado. Backdropping the bleak desert-like terrain is the alpine beauty of the La Sal Mountains on the eastern skyline.

CLOSEST AIRPORT: Canyonlands Field Moab airport

ITINERARY:
Day1:
Arrive at Canyonlands Field Airport. Transportation will be provided from the airport to our group meeting point. Once at the campsite your guide will go over training and safety procedures for the following day. That evening dinner will be served and afterwards anyone who is interested can participate in an evening hike through Slickrock. There will also be activities so everyone can get better acquainted with one another.
Day2:
Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am. At 9:00 am we will set out for the Amasa back trailhead to begin our first day of biking. This is a 21mile out and back trail. Around noon lunch will be provided which should coincide with the halfway point of the trail. After lunch you will tackle the second half of the trail. It should be noted that it can get quite hot in the afternoons so make sure and have ample amounts of water. Once we have completed the trail we will transport everyone back to the campsite where beverages and snacks will be ready and waiting. Shower facilities will be set up for anyone that just doesn’t feel their freshest. That night dinner will be served and activities will be provided.

Day3:
Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am. At 9:00 am we will set out for the Flat Pass trailhead for a 16 mile trail with lots of streams. Be prepared to get wet! Around noon we will stop for lunch which will be provided. After lunch you will muster up the energy to finish out the day in style. Once again it may be hot so make sure and have ample amounts of water. After day 2 we will transport everyone back to the campsite where beverages and snacks will be ready and waiting. Shower facilities will again be waiting and calling your name. That night dinner will be served and activities will be provided.

Day4:
Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am. At 9:00 am we will begin the Slickrock trail for the toughest of the three days, a 13 mile roller coaster ride on wheels! If you’ve ever heard about mountain biking trails in Moab, this is the granddaddy of them all! Some of the spots on this trail can be very steep so don’t be afraid to jump off and walk portions. Around noon we will stop for lunch which will be provided. After lunch we’ll finish up and transport everyone back to the campsite where beverages and snacks will be ready and waiting. That night dinner will be served and activities will be provided.

Day5:
Breakfast will be served in the morning. After packing up camp we will transport everyone back to the airport for their return home.
