Jazz Drummer Needed

We have a weekly paying gig in the downtown Visalia area. We will need a drummer for at least a month starting on Friday March 12th from 7- to a bit after 10pm. We play mainly jazz standards from the real book. Songs like Four, Maiden Voyage, All Blues, Take Five, and So What just to name a few. We are all accomplished musicians and would expect the same. If you are familiar with some of these tunes and have the confidence that you could pull it off then please email me for details. Any link with a sample of your drumming would of course be helpful. The rock n' roll band The Union out of Visalia, Ca is looking and is in need of a experienced bassist. We just finished recording our second EP and are in the process of booking shows for 2010 to follow it's release. We have 2 set's worth of material. We are ready to take it to the next level.


Requirements:
-Serious about music.
-Some years experience playing.
-Has no problem being committed.
-Must be between the ages of 18(out of high school) - 29
-Own Transportation.
-Have their own gig ready equipment (bass, concert amplification)
-Able to make it to practice once a week at least and have the flexibility to ask for nights or days off for gigs.

We are a full band, Bass, Keys, Guitar, and Drums. Our Keyboardist is our Lead Vocalist and we the bass and guitar are the back up. We are looking for a Professional/semi-amatuer Female Vocalist to be able to handle the songs of Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin and the like. Sespul is looking for a metal drummer who actually wants to play in a band. That means someone who's dedicated and will show up consistently to practice and not make every excuse in the world for why they can't play. That also means someone willing to actually spend money to buy new drum heads when necessary and new cymbals before the old ones are so cracked they fall off the goddamn stand. Double bass is a must. We play real hard metal with all screaming no singing kind of like old lamb of god. We're in the 20-27 age range so if you're in that general age range that's a plus. We have a bunch of old songs so learning our old material as well as working on new stuff is a must. We've had enough problems with flakes in the past so if you're not fully dedicated and serious don't waste our time or yours, go find someone who wants to play once a month and never get anywhere.
