COSMETIC CONDITION:
Missing letter "T" key but that doesnt affect the perfomance of this pc. Was missing since the 1st owner. Can be replaced if you shell out 60 bucks plus 30 bucks labor for whole keyboard replacement. Other than that it works flawlessly.

refreshed HP pavillion desktop (hagerstown md) $40

I took this old win98SE machine and upgraded a LEGAL copy of winxp SP2, tossed on a LEGAL copy of system mechanic pro 6, and Acronis TI 10. Upgraded the memory from 64mb to 256md (board max) and upgraded from the 8gb drive to a 40Gb drive. I also added a pci ehternet card so it can join a router.

the $40 is to cover my cost for the memory and the card. all the rest was parts and software in stock.

if you need a machine for the kids that is 100% virus free - here ya go. price includes the monitor, a keyboard and a mouse and the power cables. its a 466mhz processor with a cd drive (can be upgraded to DVD) if you have games that require 32bit XPvs 16bit win98, here ya go. Just toss on some virus software if it goes out to the net. Gigabyte 8IPE1000-G Mother Board (hosting the 3.2GHz CPU) is flaky. It does run, but shuts off after a while. I noticed the VRU's have no heat sink and get pretty hot. When I applied a fan over them the board stayed up. I'd recommend adding VRU heatsinks and active cooling in the area around the CPU if not using this board for parts.

Intel D845EBT Mother Board Works great, just old with limited P4 CPU support.
