Cangene Plasma Resources, formally called Frederick Biologicals, is a specialty blood plasma center searching for plasma donors available to donate between the hours of 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Plasma donors are compensated $25 for their time associated with each plasma donation. Your plasma will be used to create life saving medications.

Plasmapheresis (or donating plasma) is a special process that allows you to donate only the straw-colored liquid portion of your blood: the plasma. Your red cells, white cells, and platelets are returned to you. As a result, it is unlikely that you will experience any weakness or fatigue after your donation. Plasma donation usually takes about an hour and a half and you can donate up to twice a week.

Cangene Plasma Resources, located in Frederick, Maryland is open Monday through Thursday and can be reached via email at Frederick@cangene.com. We are especially looking for donors who are able to donate between the hours of 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, but the center is open 7:30 am to 6:30 pm and we can schedule donors anytime during business hours.

Eligible donors must meet the normal requirements for plasma donation including, but not limited to: be in good health, at least 18 years old, and pass a brief physical examination and medical history screening.
