This sweetie was a rescue that I took to help her find the right home. I have posted her several times and only received one response. That person never responded again after I replied. Is anyone looking for a devoted border collie to adopt? 6 month old female. Weighs about 30 pounds. Tricolor. Crate-trained and 99% housebroken. Loves other dogs and cats. Quiet, loving, and adorable. Probably won't get too much bigger. Medium energy level. I do not consider her high maintainence. She is active and playful, but not over the top. Very smart.

We just don't get a lot of help from the community so we have to look else where to try and save some lives. Adoption fees are generally $140 to $160 per dog which includes each dog's spay/neuter surgery, rabies, distemper and Kennel cough vaccines, test for heartworm and lyme disease and de worming for intestinal parasites. Senior dogs over 7 are $90 to $110.

I sent an email requesting details on the dog. The response was "What do you want to know"
There was nothing posted in the listing about the dog and he couldn't take a moment to send basic details. I replied with a sample list of items and expressed my disappointment to have to beg for answers. I wanted the information to make sure the pet would be close to the same age as my existing Shih Tzu...I never even asked what his rehoming fee was because money isn't a concern to me. The Jerk responded a rude message and never provided details. I suspect the ShihTzu is being used to make a few dollars and he has no concern or love for the animal. My heart goes out to Shih Tzu's because they are adorable, loving and devoted furry friends. I am especially sad this Shih Tzu didn't even get a chance to meet me and my family. We own our home, have a large fenced yard and I have a home office for my business. So sad this animal missed out on a wonderful chance to become part of my family because the "lister" wouldn't provide any information on the Shih Tzu.....So if anyone is missing a Shih Tzu contact me and I will forward the email.

Tonya and Sonya are 1 year old lab/gsd mixes. They were saved from a kill shelter in TN. They are both happy go lucky dogs and very sweet. They are cat safe, kid safe, and they get along with other dogs great. They both weigh about 45 pounds and are in good flesh. They are crate trained. We are not sure if they are house trained because we have not tried them yet. They are good on the leash, but still pull some. We are working with them on that. They are what I could call medium energy dogs. They would do great in a home with an active adopter, or one who has a fenced in yard. The ideal home who actaully be one with a couple of rowdy kids to romp and play with. They are simply beautiful girls. There is not once ounce of meaness in these 2. They love people and have never met a stranger.
They are spayed, current on vet documented vaccinations, heartworm negative and on prevention. They are both also microchipped. Their adoption fee is $150.00. Our rescue has 8 beautiful boxer mix pups we have saved from the kill shelter. They will be ready to go to their new homes the first week in Dec. They were born Sept 24th. We do not know much about their previous history with the exception their mom was a full blooded boxer. We have no idea what the dad was. With them coming from the pound it really is hard to tell much. These guys will probably finish out at 45 pounds give or take. They are super sweet and love people. They get along good with other dogs and cats. They will be easy to finish potty training. There are 3 girls and 5 boys.

I am from out of state, visiting my daughter here at Ft Detrick. I love animals, and would so love to find a dog to give a loving home too, so I always watch Craigslist when I'm a home, and have been watching since being here. First of all, even with a fee for animals, you still can't guarantee the home they will receive. I, for one, with the economy, cannot afford to pay a high price for an animal, BUT...I have qualified for a credit card from my vet back home in Indiana (care credit), and they have resonalble rates for vet care, preventative and emergency. So, maybe when looking for homes, you should ask for references, people who know them, their vet, etc. Offer to bring the animal to them for meeting so that you can SEE the surroundings...and do a little background research. Yes, there are scammers and scum out there, but there ARE others like me, who, though they can't afford a steep fee up front for a good, loving, well-behaved, family-oriented dog that they really desire to have as a part of their family, ARE willing to make sure that they are able to care for them. Give us a chance, too.

Two Young Java Finches (Franklin County)

Loveable Large Dog
We adopted 6 year old Rebel about a year and a half ago from a family who claimed they could not meet his needs. At the time, we thought they were just not trying hard enough. He had problems with leash training, running away, and incessant barking. We worked very hard with him on leash training, until I became pregnant and could no longer risk him pulling me across the yard. He has completely relapsed and will need to be retrained. He is just SO full of energy. The poor guy just wants to run. He will get loose and run, we've had neighbors from 5 miles away call us to say they've found our dog after less than an hour of him being loose! On the barking front, he wants to be wherever you are. If your outside, he wants to be outside, if your in the bedroom, he needs to be in the bedroom too. When guests come to our home, they have to greet Rebel by petting him or he will bark until they do.
That being said, Rebel is SO warm and loving. He gets so excited when we get home he wags his little stump and runs around. He adores our 5 month old, and likes to try and lick him. He has held his pee for up to 15 hours and has only had an accident once, when a treat upset his stomach. He has NEVER been aggressive towards anyone, not a stranger, not us. He is so timid, I cannot imagine this even being possible. What Rebel really needs is a fenced yard and a family with children to play with. I think if he had a fenced yard and some rambunctious boys, he would be in heaven. We are not in a place in our lives to give Rebel the yard he deserves, and I want him to be happy. Fostering helps save lives. We do not have a shelter and without fosters homes we have no where for the dogs/cats to go. We cover all vet care, food, and provide a crate if needed. The foster parents care for the dogs as their own, but for a limited length of time -- just until we find a permanent home for them. They provide shelter, toys, and human interaction. Many of these dogs have never been loved, you can be first to show them what it's like to be loved!

rocco is a 1 1/2 year old english springer spaniel/lab. but looks just liek a spaniel. he is a great dog and follows commands well. loves to run around and play and loves people. he does l;iek to chase cats and any animal that will run from him but i ahve not seen him harm any. does not do too well with cmall children and would be best as a hunting dog or an outside dog that would get alot of attention and room to run. he comes with a large kennel. he is about the size of a springer spaniel. smaller than a lab.

i haveone kitten left. the male thats all white with blue eyes and black on top of his head. hes the one in the last two pic and in the middle of the first pic. longhaired with silky smooth fur from the angora side. he is not deaf. .he is very used to kids and other pets. doesnt mind dogs either. hes very calm and laid back. loves to be cuddled. he is 9 weeks old but smaller than average because they were premature. i am asking a 20 dollar rehoming fee. their mother is also available she is almost all white turkish angora with one green eye and one blue eye and very loving. i paid 250 dollars for her but would be willing to go 30. she is almost a year old.
