Web Producer-Production (Providence, RI)

In this position you will work on project managing and maintaining multiple interactive web sites that have been designed,
developed, and launched. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, solid technical
knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Content Management Systems, Intermediate to expert hands on
knowledge of Adboe Creative Suite, Experience with Coremetrics, search engine, Econmetry, and Marketlive.

This is a heavy production position rather then a web developer, web designer, or coding position. Organization is a critical.
Prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly production task and delegate if require, manage creative process, content
management process and work with multiple internal vendors including IT, Development, Graphic Design and Marketing
to resolve and address particular site opportunities and or issues. Provide quality control with adherence to OMS web standards.
Liasison with Search and Metrics Manager to set up and optimize content for metrics tracking and search. Strong understanding and
ability for Cost/Time estimating and budget management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Business or Multimedia/Technical area of academic interest along
with 5+ Years experience.

Photographer Wanted (Marlboro)

The local division of a well-respected national non-profit organization is seeking an experienced and professional photographer to shoot a volunteer award ceremony in Marlboro on May 6. The job will run from approximately noon - 3 p.m. It will entail about 30 head shots and one or two group pictures. No action photos are needed. The pay is a flat rate of $275. The photographer must provide a resume, a link to sample photos and references, and must be able to provide finished digital photos of the award winners within three business days.

Office manager in busy screen printing/embroidery shop. Complete knowledge of Illustrator is mandatory. Must have complete command of all aspects for color separated vector art files. Experience with digitizing software is also helpful. Responsibilities include writing up orders, customer service, phone and walk ins, and scheduling. Richmond Illustration Inc. is looking for artists to draw and paint caricatures this summer at Six Flags New England, Agawam, MA. Artists work as independent contractors and must demonstrate a strong talent and aptitude for cartooning and drawing the face/figure. Good people skills also important. Training in specific techniques provided. Work is full time for the summer season with available work weekends in April, May, Sept. and Oct. as well.

I think it's actually worth reposting this every day so posters see it every day.

I'd like to add some words of advice to posters as well... if you read below, you can infer that there's quite a few angry professionals who are tired of being asked to work for half (or a third of) the pay. If you quote such a low rate, many of these angry professionals will flood your mailbox with angry diatribes. So if you don't have a good idea of how much a service costs, don't quote a dollar amount. Take bids, throw out the lowest and highest, and find one in the middle you're comfortable with.

Oh, and...the other term for an intern that works long-term, full-time is "slave." So, ya know, you might want to avoid asking for that.

I encourage another professional to copy this ad and post their own thoughts on the matter tomorrow.

Here's the facts - It's not like the work doesn't need to be done, I mean turn those internships(I saw a12 month internship...really?!?...why not the rest of our lives with chance for bennies after 10...years?!?) into real jobs, and you have a robust job market...the demand is there. Here's another little factoid: people that have been working in the fields mostly of the web/html/css/flash/graphic design and IT, developer, video editing, photography fields and you've been earning like you should earn and have fallen on hard times - you earn more looking for real work and collecting unemployment then these abysmal offerings. This is a digital world folks, those that control it - own it...and if you're anything like the expert interns (oxymoron) they seek here, that's you. This is third world shit on here...go to india already lowballers...what's the matter it ain't that cheap anymore...huh?!? I assure you that 9 times out of 10 they're not going to get what they're looking for...hitting a filter in photoshop doesn't mean you're a designer. Just because you did a web site in iWeb doesn't mean you're a developer and 9 out of 10 times with these low baller/exploiter types - that's what they're getting. I've witnessed it and usually come in to clean it up, start over, etc. So take heart creative, brainy, ones this recessive shit will clear and you'll be on top of your game and in demand at anywhere from $50-300/ hour like you're supposed to be and were in a previous, not so long ago time. In the meantime get of CL for jobs, but come to spam, consider it your civic duty and hold hope that your spamming efforts today will one day return this to the semi honorable board it once was.

Those with skill know better...way better!

- Video production and editing (includes lighting, filming and workflow)
- Creating station imaging pieces for marketing department, including but not limited to: logo design/redesign, vehicle wraps, bumper stickers, concert fliers, print ads, billboards, ¡§enter to win¡¨ signage for events, etc.
- Building Web and Print Graphics
